I have known Dr. Gershon for years. I was his patient when he was in Queens. I am still his patient and, if he opened in Timbuktu, I would travel there to see only him. He is a painless specialist in root canal with extensive knowledge in dental care. Over the 35 years I know him, he has done several root canals for me, each one better than the next. Dr. Gershon works hard to make sure his patients have painless procedures and he accomplishes that all the time…from the minute he gives a totally painless Novocaine injection till the time he finishes the procedure and beyond, I was 100% comfortable. In fact, often times, I laugh my way through root canal because Dr. G has a warm, engaging and humorous way of treating his patients. I can say, I love root canal because of who does the procedure. His after care is detailed and if you do what he advises, you won’t even know you had a root canal. This doc rates 99.9% and you will never find one better anywhere in the world. He told me his patients come all over the world and I believe it. This is a skilled practitioner with warmth, compassion, a great sense of humor and magical hands. Don’t settle for anyone else, you could be sorry. And, fraidy cats? He will cater to you like you are his own kid. Promise! Bravo, Dr. Gershon, you are the BEST in NYC then, now, always! Had my appointment after work.  I was late due to train situations and he was more than accommodating.  Very thorough with the explanation of what is going to happen before, during, and after the procedure.  He does everything himself, no secretary or dental assistant!  I had a root canal on my back upper tooth and he did it with minimal pain.  I have had other root canals that have caused me much more pain and swelling.  I was very pleased with his professionalism.  He is very funny, as well.

Needed to get a root canal re-treated and needed a great dentist that would accept my insurance. Luckily for me Dr. Gershon was on that list! He was professional and attentive to my needs. Explained everything and made sure that I was comfortable the whole way through. He was quick to return all calls and followed up after my procedure. I would highly recommend him.

What a wonderful experience!! I’ve been dreading a visit to the dentist, but Dr. Gershon and his staff were fabulous!! From the moment I arrived to when I left, everyone was genuinely friendly, caring, and professional. The dental hygienist gave me a great cleaning and had a nice check up with Dr. Gershon. He also gave me great information about my oral health.

I’ve been a patient for over 20 years! Dr. Gershon has always been gentle, thorough and accommodating. I now see his son and I am pleased to say He is Amazing! He understands my fear of the dentist and walked me through every step! Diane, the office manager is always accommodating and helpful. Dana the Dentist assistant is also Amazing!Elida the hygienist does the best cleanings! So if your looking this is the right Dentist for you!

Have had several procedures done by Dr Gershon and without question, he is the most competent Endodontist, and for that matter dentist I have ever dealt with. He is pleasant, extraordinarily knowledgeable, and thorough. HIs new office in Manhattan is state of the art. My new Dentist (old one retired) is very impressed with Dr Gerson’s work.

Dr. Gershon was very professional and polite on both occasion that I visited his office for my root canal. He did such a great job with my 1st root canal that I decided to go back to him a 2nd time. The atmosphere in his office is always friendly and welcoming. Before performing my root canal he always put me at ease and explain the procedure fully. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for an Endo.

Dr Gershon is an excellent Endodontist very thorough, professional, friendly and efficient. There was little to no wait time upon arrival at the office. Each time I have had to have a root canal he puts me at ease. He is funny and that helps to take your mind off of being nervous about the procedure you are having.He explains everything he will be doing before, during and afterwards he gives you precise instructions on what to do to care for your new root canal. He generally listens to classical music which also helps to make you feel calm and relaxed during the procedure If you follow his instructions following the root canal you will have no issues during the healing process. I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs an endodontist

You need more stars for this dentist/endodontist.  Five isn’t enough.  Wow.  My 14-year-old daughter, who’s an avid tennis player, had a tournament final today–and yesterday, she had a root canal performed by Dr. Gershon.  We’d been trying to schedule a root canal with local dentists in Brooklyn and had no luck finding a good one.  On one occasion, after waiting in a factory-like dental office for 4 1/2 hours, they decided we needed to come back because the first visit was a consultation. After a few choice words at the stupidity on display in this office, I made a complaint about this kind of treatment to my insurance, and under the recommendation of our regular dentist, we booked an appointment with Gershon.  We’d had everything planned down to the day. I anticipated my daughter making it to the finals which were scheduled for Wednesday (two days ago).  We got to the tournament for the final and just as my daughter and her opponent stepped on the court, it started to pour.  After an hour or so wait to see if the weather would clear, we left and asked that they please reschedule the final for Friday–which they did.  We got to Gershon’s office the next day to a jovial man with lots of jokes and a calm, professional and super confident demeanor.  It’s actually fun to talk to this man, and he will make you laugh in six or so different languages if you can speak them (in my case, it was Spanish).  My daughter was nervous about the procedure and any pain she might experience the next day.  The doctor assured us she’d be fine, and then said, “And she’ll win.”  Words of wisdom and excellence.  I left my daughter looking nervous, and I waited in the reception area listening to drilling, suction and what sounded like my daughter laughing.  For the entire procedure Dr. Gershon calmed my daughter by telling jokes and making sure she felt no pain.  The only pain came from the novocaine shots (a pin prick), then NOTHING.  When Dr. Gershon was done (about an hour or so), he came into the reception area and told me he was done and to wake up (I was very sleepy).  My daughter was smiling, her right cheek was a little swollen and after assuring us everything was perfect, Dr. Gershon cracked a few more jokes about wanting NIKE sneakers that would make him jump nine or ten feet in his pickup basketball games (the doc is a Vietnam Veteran, so you can guess his approximate age; he’s very fit, btw), he wished us good luck and told us he’d call to check in later.  My daughter had recently done a NIKE photo-shoot celebrating her favorite tennis player, Simona Halep, and NIKE gave her free sneakers (yes!).  Unfortunately, NIKE doesn’t make sneakers that make you superhuman, so we promised to look into Dr. Gershon’s request anyway (always keep hope alive).  Listen to this doctor when he recommends stuff.  After giving us instructions for post-op care, we bought the Advil Liquid-Gels he recommended, followed his dosage instructions, and I bought my daughter a Coolatta at the local Dunkin’ Donuts (ice cream and ices encouraged after a root canal).  I kept asking my daughter if she was okay as we walked to the train to head home, and she said, “I’m fine, I don’t feel anything.  I’m numb.”  She kept making weird faces at me to assure me she was fine.  So, we got home, she ate food (nothing hard or sticky) on the opposite side of her mouth, applied the ice pack we prepared, took the Advil and went to sleep with just a little soreness and a swollen cheek.  I woke up early today and opened the door to her bedroom and asked if she was okay, and she said that other than being sleepy, she didn’t feel any pain.  Her cheek was no longer swollen. Under her objections, I made her take two more Advil after breakfast, we got to to the tournament an hour early so she could hit and warm-up with her younger brother (another tennis maniac), and an hour and a half later, my daughter won her championship match:  6-0, 6-2.  She played super hard and dominated.  Amazing!  She just went to sleep a little while ago (it’s 11:00 pm), and was super happy holding her trophy, dying to get up and practice tennis.  Awesome!  I’m very grateful to Dr. Gershon for making the root canal super easy, and perfectly done.  I’ve never been to a better dentist than this man.  And he did call later that night to make sure everything as okay.  You don’t get this kind of attention from many medical professionals anymore.  May this man never retire and live forever.  Thank you, Dr. Gershon.  Thank you.
