I made an account to leave this review. I hadn’t seen a dentist for 6 years, mostly because of fear of dentists. I chipped the entire side of my molar off one day and needed to see someone, I opted for them, glad I did. The whole time they made sure I wasn’t uncomfortable and were very respectful and personable to me. It also went a very long way that I was never made to feel shame for the neglected state of my teeth – they gave things to me straight though. Probably the biggest compliment I can give is that I walked in with extreme anxiety but by the time things were done with drilling I was already calm enough that I could have possibly fallen asleep. Absolutely helped fix a large part of my fear of dental visits. There’s nothing critical I can think of about my experience. If I wasn’t moving out of state I would be a life long client. I have already recommended my family to them, so I think that says something too.

Way late in life, a wisdom tooth previously regarded as unproblematic decided to make a move. It soon damaged the molar in front of it, and my previous dentist didn’t catch it when I complained of cold sensitivity. (In fact, he fixed the wrong tooth.) That office’s oral surgeon recommended a very costly and invasive process involving extraction of both the wisdom tooth and the molar, and later installing an implant to replace the molar. A 2nd-opinion consult at Stanford Medical School cost me hundreds of dollars and yielded the same recommendation. So before going through all that, I decided to check with Dr. Jerry Mancuso at the conveniently-located and thoroughly-modern Gilroy Dental Associates. He’s an ex Navy doc –always a good indication of practicality and solid work that gets the patient back to normalcy quickly. Sure enough: On reviewing my situation, Dr. Mancuso felt there was a decent chance that the molar could be saved, with a crown instead of an extraction-and-eventual-implant. If so: less costly, quicker recovery, and way less fraying of my nerves. If not, well then we’d deal with it. But neither of the two other oral surgeons I’d previously consulted had even raised the possibility of saving the molar. Sold. And Dr. Mancuso could not have been more adept. The wisdom tooth popped right out with his skilled encouragement, and then Dr. Linga Vuppala joined to make quick work of crowning the damaged molar. Today, after a couple more visits for routine cleaning and a cracked-tooth fix, I’m impressed by how everything done in this clinic is a well-choreographed team effort that maximizes my well-being and respects my finances. Great group. I feel very fortunate to have found them right here in Gilroy. Everyone is pleasant too, with abundant humor… I’d say “smiles all around” but that’s a pretty worn-out dentist-office pun by now . Yet it’s true.

Gilroy Dental Associates is highly recommended by me. I truly love their passion to connect with their clients and give them the dental care that they need. I can really tell they take pride in their work and really go to the Max that you leave satisfied. Out of the 6/7 years I’ve been going I’m safe to say that not once I left unhappy. All the girls there from front to back of the office are really amazing and welcoming. I’ve been serviced from everyone there including Veronica, Daisy, Lilia, Karla, Ashley, Irma, Mari, and of course Dr. Vuppala, who is such a great doctor. I can really say this is the best Dental office I’ve ever been to. Always making me feel welcomed and at ease. Most offices have such long waiting periods, but I’m averaging at maybe 5-10mins waiting. Like I said, excellent service! I highly recommend this dental office to everyone, even if you don’t live near by, it’ll be worth the drive, trust me!

LOVE, love this entire office. Excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The entire staff is very friendly, Irma and the girls are AMAZING and my family has been a part of Gilroy Dental for about 20 years. Beautiful office, and very happy environment. Cheryl is a wonderful hygienist. Dr. Voopaula provides excellent care. Pain free and very comfortable. I highly recommend this office. Just when you thought going to the dentist would be scary, Gilroy Dental Associates would make you think otherwise!! Dr. Vuppala and his girls are genuinely welcoming to me and my family. I previously was in the care of South Bay dental in San Jose, which now under a whole different ownership. They were okay but very unorganized and always had me waiting too long. Every time I walk into Gilroy Dental Associates I feel like I’m in and out! At the same time I feel that the front desk girls really wanna make sure I’m properly taken care of ! Veronica and Laura go above and beyond to make sure I’m fully comfortable on the chair, and Daisy would have me cracking up laughing making me forget I’m even at a dentist office, and Ashley, I gotta is probably one of the sweetest scheduler I’ve ever met. She knows exactly what she’s doing. I love it there and I highly recommend it to all locals and out of town folks!

Dr. Vuppala deserves 10 stars +. He is so detailed, a lot of understanding and patience. Simply everything a 11 year old, who was extremeley nervous to get root canal and folings done, needs. I am transfering my younger daughter to him, myself and my husband. He deserves my services.

The staff are amazing! I have had a lot of dental experiences and by far this one has been the best. I have never left a cleaning feeling like a two year old who has just been lectured about properly flossing. I used to dread going to cleanings and the inevitable ‘talk’ that would occur afterwards. Now? I have no hesitations and tend to leave feeling like I’m doing good with my teeth. I would not leave this dental office even if my insurance stopped being accepted.

You walk into this dentist and feel like you are apart of there family. They know exactly who I am they don’t make me wait long to be helped. On top of that most dentist offices can not be flexible this dentist office was able to squeeze me in for a cleaning after I had my crown put in within 5 minutes. Ruth the hygienist is just the sweetest person. I would definitely recommend her for cleanings. The facility all around is very clean and well maintained. This will definitely be where I will go for years to continue.
