What a treat to have such a skilled dentist clean my teeth himself!! Glen is incredibly thorough and gentle. On a regular cleaning, he found what would have been an abscess, referred me to a surgeon he knows and the surgeon was incredibly impressed that Glen found this – he said in a few weeks I would have been out of my mind in pain. Since Glen found it so early, I never felt a thing! Mary – his wife and receptionist – is a delight. Glen and Mary have a way of making time slow down – they really take an interest is their patients. We pay out of pocket and feel the Tistaerts are worth every penny. We have started bringing our kids here too.

Dr. Tistaert & his awesome wife Mary (Nurse & PA) work together at this pleasant office in the heart of Santa Monica, and you can’t go wrong with them! I’ve had cleanings, examinations, and x-rays done at this office, and they both are very kind, and gentle with patients. I’ve been seeing Dr. Tistaert for about 25+ years. He is a dentist’s dentist…the best ! My teeth love him and so do I. Mary his wife at the front desk is wonderful…and his assistant also…nothing to fear you are in excellent hands all the way around !! I love the office…easy to park as they have there own little parking lot in front…this building has been in his family for years…his dad was a dentist. He is there for you in an emergency also !

Dr. Tistaert is the best dentist on the West Side of Los Angeles. Dr. Glen Tistaert has been my dentist for more than 30 years and before him, his father was my dentist. Dr. Glen has taken care of our entire family from the time my two children were in preschool. I have my teeth cleaned frequently because I form so much plaque. He has done root canal on me. He does his own prophylactic care instead of leaving it to the dental hygienist. When I needed implants, he referred me to an excellent specialist and followed up with placing a crown on the implants. When I fell and knocked a tooth loose, he came in especially to treat it and he saved my tooth. The office staff (Nurse/receptionist Mary, his delightful wife) is very caring, courteous and helpful. They notify me of the need to make my regular cleaning appointments. They took care of filing a claim to the insurance company that was handling the claim for my accident. The waiting room is comfortable and they have great coffee! Dr. Glen is quite the equipment guru. He has the latest equipment and has made or improved on several things himself, for example a great model of a dental implant. He has his own building on 7th street in Santa Monica, with its own little parking lot. You can’t go wrong choosing him as your family dentist.

Our son has been a Tistaert Dental patient for many years, the office having been highly recommended by his pediatric dentist. My husband and I now are patients there as well. I am #1 dental chicken, but Glenn is so thorough, so patient, so gentle, so kind, that I no longer dread going for procedures. His receptionist wife, Mary, is the perfect compliment for him, and together with hygienist Laticia, the three make one heck of a team. The atmosphere is laid back….Glenn giving all the time needed to do things correctly. Glenn and Mary do not treat us as the usual patients, but instead, as friends. A unique situation! Thank you, Tistaiert Team!

I highly recommend this office. The main dentist Glen Tistaert is a very gentle and patient dentist. They call when you don’t come in and are not annoying. They seem to “care” enough. There is not much of a wait. I am happy with the service and the friendly attitude. It is also reasonably priced if you don’t have insurance.
