Most reviews are for child ortho, but I came here as an adult patient. I had been working with another dental office prior to this who sold me invisalign and was in the middle of treatment before moving to Texas. After consulting with Dr Davoody, he explained that my case was much more complicated and invisalign would not fully correct my teeth. Years early, I was told by another orthodontist that I would need to have my jaw broken to be able to align my bite, but he was able to utilize a newer technique with mini screws in order to fix the major problems that the braces would not address. Shortly after starting my treatment, I had to move out of state for work. Instead of switching to a new provider, I travel back to Texas monthly which is a less than ideal situation. Greater Houston Ortho makes this as painless and convenient as possible. They’ve fit me into their schedule and accommodated me beyond what most businesses probably would have. It’s always nice to come in to an office of smiling faces after traveling hours just to get there. Without fail, Alex, one of the dental assistants, has a great attitude and a reflection of the type of knowledgeable, positive employees that Dr. Davoody surrounds himself with. I work in the medical center and often drove by this establishment. I had braces many many years ago and recently had a minor problem with my permanent retainer coming loose. I put off going to an orthodontist as my original orthodontist had long since closed his practice. Additionally I visited  another orthodontist for a similar problem about 2 years ago and was treated badly and charged a wad of money. Finally when I could put off my retainer issue no longer I decided to visit his office as it was convenient near my job plus I read his good reviews and hoped for the best. I was not disappointed! Not only did Dr. Davoody fix my problem quickly and easily he did not charge me one penny! That’s right folks not ONE penny! This same problem with my retainer years ago cost me 500 hundred bucks and a lot of aggravation. The office is very convenient for us. We were seen immediately. The office manager explained what may occur and explained the possible cost. My son was then examined by the doctor and he recommended braces and explained why and even showed both of us what he saw that needed correcting. My children’s dentist recommended orthodontic work for my children, and then gave a recommendation list of three orthodontists in my area. I feel so incredibly fortunate that I selected Greater Houston Orthodonics. First off, Dr. Davoody is simply outstanding. I’m not given to hyperbole, but not only is he an OUTSTANDING orthodontist, he one of the best physicians I’ve ever encountered in my life period. He ALWAYS takes the time to carefully explain the actions he’s planning on taking regarding my children’s orthodontic work. I’ve occasionally asked to speak with him to gain additional clarification, and he ALWAYS is gracious enough to stop what he’s doing to address my concerns. He’s done absolute wonders on my kids’ teeth (and for one of my kids, nearly a miracle as far as I’m concerned). Secondly, Dr. Davoody has assembled the best medical and front office staff I’ve ever dealt with. All are extremely personable and professional. As an illustration, one of my kids has a knack for ‘messing’ up either his wires or braces (or both). Greater Houston Orthodontics goes above and beyond to accommodate same day (sometimes same morning or afternoon!) ’emergency’ appointments to address these issues. I can’t tell you from personal experience that other orthodontists offices are NOT so accommodating. Heck, they’re even open on the occasional Saturday. Once again, if you have kids w/ orthodontic work, you’ve no doubt had that ‘wonderful’ feeling in the pit of your stomach when your child has an ‘issue’ with their ortho work on a Friday evening. Those Saturdays are a Godsend. Another nice little touch is that Greater Houston Orthodontistics runs nice little contests throughout the year, where you can win nifty little prizes. My kids enjoy playing these games (some akin to ‘Where’s Waldo’) in the hopes of one day scoring some of that cool swag. In any event, it should go without saying that I recommend GHO, Dr. Davoody, and his staff unconditionally. Quality orthodontic work isn’t cheap. So if you’re going to shell out the $ for it, you owe it to yourself to obtain the best ortho work you can get. And I believe my children are getting that here.

The orthodontists and assistants at this office are so friendly and professional. They’ve managed the braces treatment of one of my sons, and people often remark how perfect his teeth are. My younger son had his braces put on just yesterday. He was nervous about it, and the assistant who worked with him, Alex, did an incredible job of explaining the process and putting him at ease. Update: I’m six months into my orthodontics course with Incognito braces, and I have to say it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I had been told by previous orthodontists that I wasn’t eligible for Invisalign or that I would need to have a tooth extracted first, but luckily I didn’t settle for any of those opinions. Of course it was painful initially (they are braces, after all) but after a month or so I managed to adjust. Having braces that are essentially invisible, without having to remove anything before I eat, has been hugely advantageous; it makes me far less self-conscious than I would have been otherwise. Greater Houston Orthodontics is great about being flexible in appointment scheduling, and anytime I’ve had a dental “emergency” (e.g. broken rubber band), they’re always able to accommodate and get me in immediately. Plus, the waiting room has wifi so you can browse the internet (although I’ve never had to wait longer than ten minutes) and a coffeemaker. I truly couldn’t imagine a better experience!
