I am so glad I found Dr. Chan’s office on Yelp. I have not been to the dentist in about 5 years. Recently I started to have some sensitivity in a tooth but turns out the dental hygienist Lynette said I just needed some cleaning and plaque removal. I was also told I do not have any cavities. I am glad this dental office did not try to over charge me for anything and was honest with me. Everyone is soo nice and welcoming. I am just happy I finally found a new dentist office!

Dr. Chan is a great dentist with a great friendly staff. Dr. Chan is very good at explaining everything and has wonderful bedside manners. I was referred to him by my periodontist and I like how they have communicated together to come up with my best care. I also recently had a teeth cleaning and the dental hygienist was so gentle and made what is usually a dreadful experience more pleasant. I am so happy I found this practice as I always have teeth issues but don’t dread it quite as much now knowing Dr. Chan will fix it with care.

Dr. Chen was very professional as well as his staff. The doctor was very knowledgeable and honest in my evaluation of tooth pain. He referred me to the right people to look at a possible bigger problem. He and his staff were very friendly. He has state of the art equipment and a very clean environment. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a dentist.

I love this Dentist!  I usually hate going, but Dr. Chan and his amazing staff turns an ordinary dental visit into a very pleasant experience.  Today was my fourth visit and Dr. Chan replaced my old crowns very quickly in office.  Dr. Chan’s state of the art dental equipment lets him fit the crown and then make it so there’s no waiting.  I can’t say enough good things about this dentist. I’m so happy I found him.

I have been a patient at this office for a long time under Dr. Yoshioka. The transition to Dr. Chan was smooth without skipping a beat. I feel as though Dr. Chan is always up-to-date on current dental trends. All the hygienist’s and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Common conversations can flow easily making the visit feel less intrusive. I am always learning something new with each visit like new or better techniques with taking care of my teeth in between checkups. I get options on how to handle the next round of “major” dental work or ways to try to prevent the work altogether which is important to me. In the past, I have stopped seeing Doctors in any field because they wanted to push through with certain procedures without any options. At this office, Dr. Chan tries preventative maintenance before going in to fix the issue himself. I don’t get the feeling that it’s “$$$’s per tooth” here, and that’s really comforting.

I’ve been going to this dentist office for at least two decades. In the old days, the dentist was Dr Larry Yoshioka. He was a great dentist who taught dentistry at USC. One of Dr Y’s best students at USC was Dr Gregg Chan. Before he retired and sold his practice, he chose Dr. Chan to take over. In my experience with Dr. Chan, he is an excellent dentist who carries the torch of Dr Y remarkably well. Dr Chan has introduced new ‘upgrades’ to his practice. He has the CEREC computerized 100% porcelain crown system which produces on the site crowns in under an hour. I have several of these crowns and they are all very comfortable, look great, and are transparent to x-rays like real teeth. I just started Invisalign with Dr Chan. The price is very reasonable and I’m expecting to be very pleased with the final result. My favorite hygienist is Elyssa. She is fun to listen to as she cleans the teeth. She’s very thorough using both a water-jet piezo-electric wand followed up by conventional pick scraping. She succeeded in eventually teaching me how to floss properly so I no longer have mild gingivitis. All of the patient rooms at this office are gorgeous with floor-to-ceiling / wall-to-wall windows giving great views of the outdoor well manicured landscaping. The receptionist / business manager Katie is always friendly and very helpful with billing explanations. This is a great dentist office. Give it a try, if you haven”t already. I have no desire to go anywhere else.

I started going to Dr. Chan a few months back when I had a broken tooth and I’ve loved the office ever since.  Great staff, great front desk and always friendly!  I appreciate Dr. Chan’s attention to detail and how I’m always in ahead of my appointment time and out in a timely manner.  Great confirmation system through text is an added benefit!  Since then, I’ve had a teeth cleaning, filling and crown.  I’d highly recommend giving them a shot!

I visited Dr. Chan’s office after my tooth filling had come out the day before. I happened to be visiting my family in Torrance from the Bay Area and luckily he was able to see me that Friday morning!! I was so relieved to get an appointment on such short notice. When I came in that morning, his office was very nice and relaxing. His staff and the front desk girl were friendly and welcoming. Dr. Chan did an amazing job on my filling! I really appreciate his attention to detail and professional work. I was able to get my teeth cleaned and my filling fixed that morning to enjoy the rest of Labor Day weekend! I am very happy I found Dr. Chan and would recommend him to everyone!

Friendly and informative office staff. Dr. Chan is very pleasant and takes the time to explain procedures, causes and recommendations. He listens attentively to my concerns and questions and addresses each one. I will recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

Everyone in the office is friendly and vibrant! Elissa – my hygienist has taught me so much about the science behind taking care of my teeth. So, now I know what is good and what is bad. This has helped my tremendously to improve my overall habits and it is paying off with my teeth!! This kind of interaction makes me appreciate their services and keeps me coming back for more. Elyssa is the best Dental Hygienist. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything she is going to do and she teaches you how to take better care of your teeth and gums. Dr Chan has the latest technology in his office and I like that he doesn’t push. He’s very calm and easy to talk to. The girls in the front office are very friendly and you don’t really have to wait long to be seen.

I am usually afraid of the dentist, they are my worst enemies. HOWEVER, Dr. Chan and his staff changed that for me. This is the FIRST time I’ve felt comfortable in a dental office before. Not only were they responsive to my sensitive gums during my cleaning, but were friendly and cleaned my teeth very well. My mom is a Dental Assistant (R.D.A.E.F.) and was also impressed by their work. Dr. Chan himself is the best dentist I’ve ever worked with. He explained everything to me before, during, and after my procedure. He was gentle and knowledgeable. Friendly, like his staff. This is the first and only positive Yelp Review I’ve ever taken the time to write, and it’s for a reason. Can’t say enough good things about this office. I drive from Santa Monica (Brentwood area) all the way to Torrance just to see Dr. Chan after he was first referred to me by other friends in the area. It’s worth the trip!

The Chan dental squad is the best! The front desk girl, Katie, is always smiling when I walk in and has a way about her that makes everyone who walks in smile too! Not to mention, she knows the office like the back of her hand and is incredibly thorough with the financial side of things. Victor is a great guy and is also always laughing and genuinely seems to be having a good time at work. Lynette and Elissa are amazing too; very thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. And last but not least, Dr Chan is the man! I really hate going to the dentist but this dude makes me feel right at home. He turns on the TV, leans me back and busts a couple jokes before going to work and is always willing to explain to me what’s going on. I really feel like I’m taken care of when I have to come in here and I actually don’t like leaving because it’s such a friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking the office out at least and I’ll be referring all my friends and family to them!
