I recently broke up with my dentist.  I had been seeing him regularly since childhood and he was the only dentist I had ever known.  I was faithful.  Even when I went back east to college, I’d schedule my appointments around the summer and Christmas holidays when I was sure to be home.  And after college, when I returned to California and moved to the city, 50 miles away from my dentist, I still made the hour-long trek (oftentimes longer with traffic) twice a year to see my dentist.  But after 7 years of making the commute, the long-distance relationship finally got the better of me.  So I had to move on.  It wasn’t him; it was me. And boy are they right when they say that breakin’ up is hard to do!  So I decided to poll some friends on the westside to get some recommendations.  I finally decided to give Dr. Stern a try and I am so glad that I did.  It was a seamless and beautiful transition.  He is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly.  You really get the feeling that you’re in great hands and getting top-notch dental care.  He staff is all super-friendly and the hygienist that I’ve had (Judy) is lovely!  She is so meticulous and will make your teeth sparkle!  It’s a pleasure being in her chair.   I look back fondly on the many good years that I shared with my old dentist, filled with with cleanings, drillings, flossing and fillings, but I’m glad I finally moved on!  Dr. Stern and his staff have not only lived up to the standards of my old dentist, but they have far surpassed them.  He and his staff continue to to make going to the dentist a pleasure.

I have visited Dr. Stern around 4-5 times.  I know nothing about dentistry, but the most important thing is feeling like: 1) I receive quality care 2) I am not being over diagnosed or given too much treatment that is unnecessary. Dr. Stern’s office checks the box on both of these.  In fact, I moved to NYC 18 months ago and decided that I go back to LA enough that I will do my checkups during those visits at his office. If you work in the area, the convenience is off the charts, too.  Water Garden, Yahoo! Center, Universal Building…just float on over.

I agree with puja 100%. Dr Stern takes a lot of pride in his work. He works very hard to make sure everything comes out right. He will take the time to rationally explain what is going on with my teeth in a way that makes perfect sense to me. He has proactively called me at home, after a procedure, to make sure I was ok which is something that no other dentist has ever done. Best dentist and best dental office I have ever been to. Well worth the drive.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say not only about Dr. Stern but his whole staff as well. Dr. Stern is everything you’re looking for in a dentist. He is on time, genuine, honest, kind, gentle & down to earth. He takes the time to thoroughly explain any procedure and never recommends unnecessary work. I hope I never have to move out of Santa Monica because he’s the best!

Truly as good as it gets, what an amazing, kind, generous, thorough, thoughtful & great,  great dentist, I cannot express how brillant Dr. Gregory Stern’s work  is, he is committed  & has such pride in his work. You can totally trust this dentist, & his team is just as thorough & caring, your in the very best of hands. Talk about never fearing a dentist, this is how I feel every time I go to  this office.
