I’m a young student living in Pittsburgh, and I have had the pleasure of getting to know Dr. Werrin and Dr. Gruendel. They offer the finest work available in Pittsburgh and from what I can see whenever I walk in the office, all of their patients are always extremely happy to be there and swear by the practice. The front desk and all of the assistants are always very courteous and friendly. Not only do they offer the best, but all of the doctors there are all extremely personable and welcoming. This is my “go to” place for dental work. FYI, my mother in law has a gold crown that has been in her mouth for 35+ years by Dr. Gruendel . . . and it is still perfect as the day it was put in!

The front office staff are friendly and receptive.The environment is pleasant without any dental smells. All of the equipment is state of the art. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very thorough and accommodating. I had a cavity filled by Dr. Gruendel. It was quick, easy, painless and this is coming from someone who has not always had pleasant dental experiences in the past. Dr. Gruendel was supportive and kind. I had a parking spot behind the building and it was free!! How many offices in Oakland give you that!!! I’ll return in a heartbeat.

This dental office is the best anywhere, whether for routine cleaning, fillings, or prosthetics. They are professional, get you in quickly when you have a dental emergency, are always there to answer dental or billing questions, call after procedures to make sure you are comfortable… I can’t say enough good about them. I have gone there for years, and would recommend them for anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Gruendel for over 20 years and now my husband goes to him as well. I have had major dental issues and was very afraid of the dentist until I met Dr. G. He is obviously committed to his craft. He is gentle and mindful of where the patient is coming from. He always preserves as much of the tooth as possible. I can’t imagine going to anyone else. Oh, and we love Evelyn for our cleanings as well!

I was a first time patient, who was referred by P.I. Dental in Fort Washington, Pa. My experience I found to be most pleasant. We arrived early and Tina made sure that she had all the paperwork in place. I was then greeted by Jana, the hygienist who did a great job of cleaning and explaining to me everything she was doing. Afterwards, I met Dr. Gruendel who made me feel confident and quite comfortable that he could handle any of my dental needs. Thanks to Dr. Wolfinger at P.I.for the referral and I look forward to my next visit.

What kind of nut looks forward to their next dental appointment? As a young man, I had a mouth full of dental problems and dreaded any dentist. I’ve told Dr. Gruendel and hygienist, Jana, that I actually look forward to seeing them again every six months. I’ve learned a few things through the decades about dentists. This is the most professional and uptodate dental practice you can find; in Pittsburgh or anywhere. That’s a fact. (I’m not reluctant to open my mouth and say that.)

I love this office. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. They start the day at early hours which works well with a lot of schedules for medical professionals. They also work with you and your insurance to try and get all procedures and exams covered. The hygienists are all so knowledgeable about oral hygiene and care. They do a full clinical examination including screening for head and neck cancer which is sadly something I haven’t experienced at most other dental offices before. The dentists are all professional and give you their honest recommendation rather than try to do unnecessary procedures. I feel like this truly is an academic practice and have only had great experiences here. They also are taking COVID precautions seriously and the facility is clean and updated. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gruendel’s since 1980. He is the best. I would refer anyone who needed a prosthodontist to go to him. He has helped me thru 8 jaw surgeries. He has been able to splint my lower denture for the jaw bone I am missing, also the condyle on the left side. These Dr.’s and the laboratory are amazing. It really helps when dentures, dental implants are made in house and not sent out to a stranger. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I drive a little farther than I would for a dentist appointment. Dr. Gruendel, my dentist and Jana my hygienist are the best! I have a fear of dentistry due to childhood experiences. I’m not proud of that but this team I love. They’re the best you’ll find for every dental procedure. My fear turns to a smile(and a nice one at that!)

I have been seeing Dr. Gruendel since 2014. I have Sgrens Disease which left my mouth full of decay. The only route we could take was extraction of all teeth except my top front teeth. It has been a very traumatic thing to go through to say the least. Dr. Gruendel & Amy are truly the best there is. They are truly concerned about the correct path and an awesome turnout when everything is done. Evelyn is so understanding and patient with my cleanings..she makes me feel much less stressed while I am with her. The office staff is quite simply amazing. Everyone speaks to me by name when I walk in & are just as pleasant when I am leaving. They truly have a well oiled machine running and that is to everyone’s benefit. Been going here for years. The entire staff is fantastic. I’ve never had anything less than a remarkably easy and pleasant visit. It’s kind of amazing how they take an experience as conventionally horrifying and alienating as going to the dentist’s and make it sweet, simple maybe even fun. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!
