I don’t know about your dentist, but MY dentist Dr. Barzivand is so kind and an absolutely FANTASTIC master of dentistry!!!!! My shirt says it all…”Kind people are my kind of people”. I’ve been going to Dr. B for 3 almost 4 years now and every experience has truly been the best experience one could possibly have going to the dentist. I needed a root canal on a tooth that has a crown . Dr. Barzivand and his assistant Junior (who by the way is also AMAZING) were able to do the root canal THROUGH THE CROWN!!! Some people hate to go to the Dentist but Not Me Because of the treatment I receive from Hancock Park Dental. When I first walk in I receive a warm Greeting from Vivienne who makes me feel so comfortable right away. Then it’s off to the Dentist chair. I have Vertigo so They accommodate me by adjusting the chair so I won’t get dizzy which I’m sure makes it a little more difficult for Doctor Barzivand to work on me. Doctor Barzivand and his assistant wear full protection so I feel safe from Covid. They work on my Crown and before you know it they are done and I had No Pain. My next visit is with Sheila the Hygienist who is also Very gentle , Very friendly, and when she was finished Cleaning my Teeth my mouth felt refreshed and my Teeth looked Whiter. As I described my Visit I Hope you see why I gave Hancock Park Dental a 5 Plus review

I had about 6 services done by Dr. Ben and they were all great quality and the costs were affordable! Dr. Wendt IS the best you can ever have protecting your oral health. His sunny personality and skilled easy hands will make your experience easy. His assistants are equally nice and professional. Dr. Wendt will always apply the best lont term approach for you. My mom had emergencies, and difficult situations with crowns and bridges. Dr. Wendt went out of his way to save her teeth, instead of an “easy-for-the-dentist” approach. I just got two wisdom tooth extracted and trust me when I say that coming here was the best medical decision I made. Dr. B was/is super friendly and knowledgeable of his profession! He made me feel very very comfortable before, during and after the procedure. Even when I had questions, concerns and the usual nervous clarifications that comes with being at the dentist office, he never complained and was very detailed in answers. And his team! Kudos to this young team that made the atmosphere very refreshing! (Who would think that a Dental office could be?) Jackie (always had a smile), to Jonathan (very calm, professional, nice, and patient), to Jen (the lovely and cheerful assistant) to Gustavo (another assistant, such a sweet guy!) and the last assistant (never got her name. She was very kind and courteous)! They all say goodbye when they are leaving and ask the right questions just to ensure that they have all information needed for a smooth consultation and/procedure. Here’s a Tip! Call ahead to confirm an appointment because Dr. B is “in demand” so to speak. He always has clients. I’m not surprised because he is THAT good! I hardly leave reviews but I had to because this dentistry is the place to go for your dental needs (not that I wish anyone pain because we all know tooth ache is the absolute worst!).

This was a GREAT experience! I initially chose Affordable Dental because of the great reviews on Yelp and I have to say the experience surpassed all the positive reviews including being affordable. From the brand new office, which was spotless, to front desk check-in, to all of the assistants who were professional, friendly and polite. Here is my longish in-depth review. I will start by telling you that I’ve been in excruciating pain for some weeks and found Affordable through yelp. As anyone is, you hesitate with reviews at first, but after reading the many reviews, I sent a message. They had me in right away. As a medical professional myself, I hold others to a high standard. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly, attentive and gracious. Now to the meat and potatoes, Dr. B is simply amazing. He is very thorough and detailed. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He made me feel comfortable. I, honestly felt at peace in that chair( yes, at peace in a dental office) and that’s not easy, as have an allergy to the common numbing medication. My tooth causing the severe and excruciating pain was broken, had an infection and in need of a root canal, build up and crown. Dr. B took his time with me, even though he had his other patients scheduled too. I NEVER FELT RUSHED. It’s approx 4 hours later and I’m not in pain, I can’t believe that. I have a little discomfort but when you have that severe of an infection it’s normal. Please, be your own judge, don’t be afraid, walk, run, take a bus, drive your car BUT don’t stay in pain. They are really a 5 Star dental practice. Thank you Dr. B and staff.

I’m happy to say that I’ve found my permanent dentist. All of the staff here are super nice and make you feel comfortable. I came in needing a root canal that a previous dentist started but was overcharging me to complete. I looked up a dentist that was both near my work and home, and closed a little later. Affordable Dental fit the bill. They had great reviews so I thought I would give them a shot. Best decision I could have made. I’ve always been terrified of dentists until I found Affordable Dental. They helped me out when my temporary filling was beginning to fall out and I came very close to their closing hours. Once in, they finished my root canal and got me a gorgeous crown for my tooth – goodbye pain! I must say that out of all the dentists I have been to, Dr Payam Barzivand is the best. His office staff was so friendly and professional. They didn’t keep me waiting at all which other dentists and drs offices I always end up waiting a long time. Dr PB was so kind and friendly. I was referred by one of my coworkers to this clinic so I made and appointment, I was amazed on how my first appointment went on how friendly the front staff are and how comfortable the dr makes you feel. If you schedule a deep cleaning or a regular cleaning, you will never experience any kind of pain. Instead, you will have the experience of clean and healthy teeth and gums! Sheila the hygienist, is a meticulous, thorough and gentle woman. I enjoy the experience so much, with Sheila, I go back every three months! Jessica, who is Dr Barzivand’s assistant, is a joy. She makes you feel at ease…She has a calming and reassuring voice with a gentle manner. And now onto Dr. Barzivand… Wow… Now here is a highly trained man who is razor sharp. He listens to your needs and concerns… His exam is meticulous and precise. He explains each necessary step for your procedure. He is gentle, kind, compassionate and relaxed. I have had quite a bit of complicated work done with Dr. Barzivand and the results have been absolutely flawless! And now on the subject of the entire Covid experience… Let me tell you, this office is so clean you will feel safer than most doctors offices! Everything from the proper County guidelines and procedures for the Covid virus are adhered to… Temperature reading, mask wearing by the patients, the staff is equipped with their gloves, masks, shields, gowns etc are all in place… But the staff goes even beyond those measures. There are air purifiers in each room and they do not have a roomful of patients in the waiting room. In fact, I have only seen one other patient in the office besides myself. And I have been in that office a good 5 or 6 times since the pandemic hit. I loved Affordable Dental. I spent a good amount of time on Yelp looking up dentists where their reviews specifically said they didn’t feel like their dentist took advantage of them. I have insurance and though my insurance covers 60% of the costs I didn’t want to pay a small fortune to have work done. Every other dentist experience I have had I have felt that the dentist has tried to upsell me and the estimates for the work are exorbitant. I did not have that experience at affordable dental. They sat me down to explain the cost and it was the first time I wasn’t blow away by some absurd amount. The amount seemed fair and reasonable and I had my treatment. The offices look brand new. Parking was tough but if you get there early you should be fine. There is a lot behind the office but it fills up early due to the court house being across the street. As far as the procedure Dr. B did a good job of being friendly, explaining what he would do, and what pain I could expect. I had a tooth extraction and felt little to no pain. Dr. B did a great job. I would definitely go back because I feel they are honest and not trying to milk me for every dollar I have. I have joked with my wife that other dentist offices I felt like they were overcharging me so that dentist could buy their 17 year old an AMG G-Wagon to drive to Harvard-Westlake.

Dr. Barzivand is a wonderful dentist. I didn’t have an appointment, but I was in a lot of pain and he was able to fit me in. I had a DOUBLE EXTRACTION, which was quite pleasant because he’s actually the most gentle dentist I’ve ever had. And I’ve had multiple extractions and root canals. He actually took out both my top wisdom teeth a few years ago; also really comfortably. So there was no doubt where I was going this time. I knew I would have to get my lower right wisdom tooth extracted, but I had to get my broken tooth two spots in front of it removed too; no surprise. He was very quick and I felt no pain at all. I actually thought he’d only pulled the wisdom tooth out, when he said I was all done. He pulled the broken tooth without me even noticing; NOW THAT’S GENTLE!!! I will definitely be coming back for all my fillings bags and cleanings. Glad I found my new dentist!

I visited affordable dental because I had some work done at a different dentist office earlier this year, where I didn’t feel comfortable or as if I can trust the dr. After reading many reviews from different places this place was the best. Since the moment I walked in I felt welcomed, everyone works as a team to make you feel comfortable. After meeting Dr Barzivand I was happy to know he would be doing my root canal. He explained and made sure I understood everything from the X-ray. We agreed that my root canal had to be done ASAP but also had to be prescribed some medication for my infection. I was scheduled for my root canal for the following week. I didn’t feel nervous about this because he answers all your questions and you feel safe. I would also like to mention that dr barziband is constantly checking in to make sure you’re doing okay as he is working with you, he really wants to make sure you’re not in any pain or just scared. Dr Barzivand is absolutely incredible. I honestly went in not knowing what to expect, but when my procedure was completed, it exceeded all my expectations. I had a chipped tooth for quite a while, it chipped when I was skateboarding about five years ago, and I actually never thought about fixing it until my girlfriend told me how funny it looks. Dr. Barzivam and his team of professionals have been providing my dental needs for the past two plus years since I moved to California. I have had procedures ranging from standard cleaning’s, multiple root canals to a complete set of crowns for all my upper teeth. I am amazed at the quality of the work done for me, while the cost has always been on the lower end of the spectrum. I can attest to this statement for when I was considering replacing ALL my upper teeth with crowns, (a fairly expensive procedure), I shopped around extensively. Dr. Barzivam came in being one of the cheapest in the LA area. The quality of his work however (both the labor and product), was what I would’ve expected from the most expensive Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentist. I would highly recommend Dr. Barzivam and Affordable Dental to anyone and everyone based on my own personal, first-hand experiences. Dr Barzivand has been my DDS for 3 years now. Not only are his prices significantly lower than his competitors, he is the kindest, most gentle dentist one could find. I have been suffering from dental phobia my entire life, usually requiring a sedative before going in for any dental work, but with the care of Dr Barzivand I have gradually started to not need it so much anymore. When I moved to LA I needed dental surgery (bone graft and implant of a front tooth), needless to say I was very scared and anxious. His team is always nice and personable, helping to put patients like me at ease. I highly recommend you visit him. Dr. Barzivand is really honest and explains every procedure being done and after care, and that is why I chose his opinion over everyone else’s. Dr. Barzivand was raised in the San Fernando Valley. Aspiring to be a dentist, he graduated a year early from high school, and attended University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He continued his education at the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry, and graduated with honors in 2006. After graduating, Dr. Barzivand remained at USC as a part time associate clinical professor. Dr. Barzivand continued his education in all facets of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry and Invisalign. Currently, Dr. Barzivand specializes in the highest quality Cosmetic and General Dentistry in Los Angeles. He has a patient-centric approach and is focused on calming all of his patient’s fears while working with a gentle touch. Dr Barzivand specializes in the placement of high quality porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns all while ensuring each and every one of his patient's concerns are thoroughly addressed to get the final results desired.
