So far so good. Early in the treatment process for Phase II, but through this point, this has been a positive experience with Dr. Desh and her team. They approach their work thoroughly and professionally. The staff are all extremely caring and friendly and approach my middle-school aged son in a way that he responds. There is a good amount of humor and understanding, while also holding him accountable. Someone commented about the cost. Because this is Phase II, we had several consultations with other orthodontists in the area. Her fees and treatment plan were in line with any other practitioners in the area. Some less expensive orthodontists we met with did not use more contemporary treatment or had “hidden” costs (e.g., labs, x-rays) that came with treatment, but they did not provide in their office. We had worked with another practitioner for Phase I. My son was particularly invested in working with Dr. Desh because of the multitude of treatment options she provided, which fit with his lifestyle better than his Phase I orthodontist. The office is refreshing and new, and he particularly likes the opportunity to play on electronic devices while he waits (which is not long; we arrive early).

This by far was one of the very best medical experiences I have had. I went in for a consult for my 11 year old son. I was worried that an orthodontist would just be quick to put braces on and told myself I would get two opinions before I made a decision. However Dr. Desh was so incredibly thorough. The images of my son’s teeth were so fantastic, and she explained EVERYTHING so completely I know I do not need a second opinion. My son got all of his questions answered and while he does not want braces understands completely what is going on. The office is beautiful and impeccably clean. Both Dr Desh and Daphne the receptionist were not only exceptionally professional but extremely kind and welcoming!!! Will be using Dr. Desh for my son’s orthodontic work and will always refer friends here!!!

Dr. Desh is the best! I just finished my Invisalign treatment today, after having braces twice, and this was a breeze in comparison to my previous experiences. Dr. Desh is very attentive, and her staff are very friendly, and she makes sure you’re comfortable and fully understand the process. She’s very accommodating, and even offered to remove all my attachments for my wedding, which I ended up changing due to covid so we didn’t have to do. She doesn’t try to prolong your treatment to get more money, and offers very flexible payment options, which was great for me as I’m a full time student. I definitely recommend her, and will be back if I need any other orthodontic treatment. I chose her after doing 5 other consultations with other offices in the area, and I’m so glad I did!

So, a little about me, I’m picky, I expect excellent service in a beautiful environment, this combination tends to bring with it quality care, and treatment, once again my assumption played out to be correct. I am fairly new to Long Beach and didn’t know anyone to give me a referral to an Orthodontist so I Googled Orthodontist near my area and when the pictures of Dr. Desh’s office popped up I thought, I may have found my place. I had braces once before and i wasnt thrilled about the idea of having to do it all over again a second time. But i decided to at least get a consultation and find out what to expect. I scheduled my consult with HD Orthodontics and i gotta say that from the very first phone call i knew i had chosen the right place. If I could give Dr. Desh more than 5 stars I would. Dr. Desh and Staff (Daphne) blew away my expectations. I haven’t been to an Ortho in quite some time and needed an emergency fix right before having to be in a wedding. I was in a panic and called her offices and spoke with Daphne, who put me completely at ease and was able to get me an appointment first thing that next morning. When I arrived I was greeted by the same kindness that I had received on the phone call the night before. To top it off, the office is immaculate with modern technology and cleanliness. About 4 minutes after walking through the doors I met Dr. Desh. She was was personable, welcoming, kind, and I definitely knew I was in good hands. She listened, assessed, and even gave me more insight into my issues that no doctor had shared with me before. I feel grateful to have found such a fantastic and professional Orthodontist in my area. This is the BEST ortho I’ve ever been to (and this was my third time getting braces!) My teeth have never looked better. Dr. Desh and team were amazing! They were super friendly, fun and professional! They take the time to get to know you. During my (free) consultation, they explained all the treatment options and I never felt pressured to sign a contract. The office is beautiful and clean. I highly recommend them. I was excited to get my braces off but now I feel sad that my visits there are almost over (I still have retainer check-ups) because going to my appointments was always fun. I am going to miss them. I wish I could give Dr. Heather Desh more stars. Her office is so clean and has all the modern technology. My daughter just got her braces on and she could not be any happier. The process was so easy. I had shopped around to get an idea of prices. We went to many places but we decide Dr. Heather had the best approach for my daughters situation. Other offices did an oral exam but didn’t take xrays to make sure what they were dealing with and Dr. Heather did. Price is great and I am sure the outcome will be amazing. I am currently seeing Dr. Desh for my pre-maxillofacial surgery braces. As this is a serious surgical procedure, I was looking for an orthodontist with impressive credentials and experience. Dr. Desh has turned out to be the perfect fit! I was really impressed with the entire experience during our first consultation and feel lucky to have found a great ortho so close to home. She had severe overcrowding and the x-ray showed her adult teeth were coming in all over the place — and not where they were supposed to. In a few months, she will be getting her braces off and I can see that she will have an awesome smile. I am nine months into my braces and I still love Dr. Desh and the whole HD Ortho staff. They are always available for any questions, seriously! Dafne, the coordinator answers the phone anytime, she must get it forwarded to her cell, because day or night she always picks up. I also love how accommodating they are, one day I totally spaced on my Appt and they called me and I ran in and thy still made time for me even though I was 45 minutes late. Lastly, they really listen to their patients. I genuinely feel like they care and take everything you say into consideration. Having braces as an adult, or at any age, can be a real pain; I am so glad to have found HD Orthodontics, they make everything simple and enjoyable.

Dr. Desh has created a point system so that the kids can earn points for taking care of their teeth, wearing their HD Orthodontics shirt, and coming to appointments. It’s an excellent motivator for all kids. Her staff is extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that they all love their job and their patients. Her facility is clean and welcoming. On top of that, Dr. Desh is very thorough on explaining what her plans are for treatments and also has an easy payment program available. I compared her to other orthodontists in the area and she definitely stood out amongst the others. She took pictures and xrays during our initial complimentary consultation. We were welcomed as soon as we entered. We were offered a drink. Coffee machine, water, juice and more in the refrigerator. Super, super clean! Nicely decorated. Extra fun decor for Halloween. I started my braces journey March of 2017. At 26, the thought of getting braces was embarrassing. But, I have always wanted that perfect smile and was at a place in my life where I could finally afford too. So I googled orthodontist in Long Beach. I came across HD Orthodontist. I loved this Orthodontics office! This will be my second time getting braces because sadly I lost my retainer. I did not come here my first time (2013), if I could go back in time I definitely would of come here to get them done. I had an amazing experience, the office is so clean and everyone was so sweet. They offer you water, tea or coffee when you just enter they really make you feel at home. I went for a free consultation to get an estimate and I felt so comfortable and it was the best experience. Dr. Desh is so knowledge and really friendly. She answered all my questions and when explaining my diagnosis and treatment plan options it was very organized and well presented. First she took pictures of my teeth then displayed them on a big screen and took her time explaining everything. Dr. Desh even typed a letter for me to take home ! All FREE! I couldn’t believe it ! It was not the cheapest plan but worth every penny for the quality service. In my opinion, when choosing a dentist or orthodontist, there are many factors to consider and price comes after competency and professionalism. We have been in treatment a year now. Long over due for this review but I found Dr Dash on Yelp about two years ago. I was in search of a New orthodontist after having a few year bck brace and Invisalign with another orthodontist. I was so unhappy about how my teeth looked. That reconsider getting them again. After consultation I had with her she listen to all my concern and she addressed them that I went with metal brace againI was very worry about take them off that I was postponing my appt to take them for another 6months lol because I was I was so worry they were not going to come out as I picture in my head. BUT LET ME JUST SAY WOW i am so happy with the outcome! My Teeth looks amazing . She definitely took good care and listen to my concern about my teeth and was not pushy about me taking them them when I wasn’t ready. So she’s a wonderful Dr I recommend her.

I can’t believe it’s has taken be so long to review this amazing place! At 26 years old, the last thing I wanted on my face was braces, not to mention my wedding was a year away so I opted for Invisalign. I have gone back every 6-8 weeks since 06/2017 for check ups and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen (even when I come in earlier than scheduled!) As soon as they see me, all of the wonderful ladies know me by name and ask me about the wedding plans and I am always so happy that they remember! Working in customer service, I always strive to makes our clients feel welcomed and build a relationship and Dr. Desh and team have excelled far beyond any of the other offices I met with. Dafne is very welcoming with her sweet self and Elia is so bubbly and makes you feel like her friend almost instantly! Teresa is fairly new to the team but a great addition as she is so so nice and always smiling. Of course Dr. Desh is really nice and really cares about your teeth. Many mentioned the cost but honestly how can you put a price on your smile? It’s a small price to pay to have your perfect smile the rest of your life. I sure will love my wedding pictures that much more as I smile my perfect smile at my new husband! I may have another 6-8 months left and I will be really sad when I don’t see them anymore but they sure will be top of mind if any of my friends and family members need a recommendation!

I have to start by saying I genuinely dislike going to dentists, orthodontist, or any place that involves messing with my teeth. After a couple of years of contemplating the idea of getting braces, I figured I’d start looking into options. I visited multiple offices to get quotes and general information. In every office that I visited, I still got that funny feeling of uncertainty as if I was just another transaction. There wasn’t really anything personable about the places I checked out. When I visited HD Orthodontics after someone had recommended them, the experience was completely different as soon as I stepped in. Not only was the decor amazing with a soothing ocean theme, but it gets complimented by the great team that works there. On my first visit, I was greeted by Dafne, a very presentable and beautiful girl. I explained my situation and she almost immediately made me feel comfortable. Elia, another girl that works there, also came out and said Hi as if I was an old friend. She’s probably the happiest girl I’ve seen in a long time. It was great 🙂 Dr. Heather proceeded to introduce herself and walked me very throughly through the process, answered all of my questions, and suggested a couple different options in my situation. Her office is sparkling new, always has something to drink, and most importantly has something to entertain my daughter when shes waiting for her older sister (three ipads on the counter). We provide state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment with esthetic treatment options for adults, adolescents and children. These treatment options include Invisalign, Invisalign teen, Clear braces and hidden braces (Lingual braces). HD Orthodontics opened in September 2015, but has been a concept for many years prior. Dr. Desh has always wanted to own an office where she could provide orthodontic treatment in a comfortable, caring and relaxed environment while putting the patient's needs first and foremost. Dr. Desh is a board certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, a prestige only 1 in 3 orthodontists obtain. Raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Desh completed her undergraduate studies at Lehigh University. She graduated after three years Summa Cum Laude with a BA in pre-dental medicine and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Desh continued her studies at one of only two Ivy League Dental schools, the University of Pennsylvania. During dental school, she was very involved in research and received several awards at various dental conferences for her work evaluating the role of masseter muscle metabolism in temporomandibular joint disorders. Dr. Desh graduated Penn Dental in the top 5% of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Desh matriculated into the orthodontics program at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. The concept of HD Orthodontics originated when Dr. Desh sat as a patient in her orthodontist's office. Having always been self-concscious about her own smile, she watched it transform throughout orthodontic treatment, subsequently boosting her self-image and confidence. She realized what a positive impact orthodontic treatment can have on someone's life and decided she wanted to share that experience with others. 20 years later, Dr. Desh has finally seen her dreams come to fruition.
