Healthy Start Dentistry is a fine example of what every business ought to be. 1) Friendly & knowledgeable staff 2) Fair pricing (competitive is even better) 3) Professional and ethical approach 4) Quality-over-Profit-focused service 5) A “connected” and forward-thinking business owner My first visit with Dr. Julie was an ABSOLUTE revelation. I’m so happy the missus found and recommended her office. I, actually, look forward to visiting my dentist now.

I’d give Dr. Julie a 10 if I could. She is an amazing dentist – all the latest technology for laser cleaning, digital x-rays and the like as everyone here has mentioned. She goes over everything. Explains everything she sees. She does the cleaning herself. Lots of parking in back although I chose her specifically because I wanted a dentist within walking distance. Receptionist (Tina) was amazingly helpful and friendly. The view from all exam rooms is looking west past the river and I’ll bet it will be awesome come fall. THE DENTIST OF MY DREAMS. Get this – she even gives you sunglasses to wear during your cleaning so that her bright light scope doesn’t “blind” you!

I was referred to Dr. Julie by a coworker of mine when our dental insured changed, and I’m so happy that I ended up visiting her. I’ve been seeing Dr. Julie for a couple of years now, and she’s the most non-pretentious dentist I’ve ever had. I think most can agree, the typical appointment goes something like this: Wait, wait, wait (read 2 magazines front to back)… get called in by a hygienist… wait wait wait (with a bib on this time)… scrape, scrape, OUCH… 2 seconds with the doctor… hygienist comes back in, tells you to floss more… six months later, repeat. That’s simply not the case at Health Start Dentistry. I’ve literally never waited at Dr. Wills office, I’m typically called in by Dr. Wills personally, and SHE does the actual cleaning! She’s completely forthcoming about your health, and goes above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. This week she was actually able to schedule an appointment to have a slightly-chipped tooth smoothed out on super short notice. The best part? Everyone at the office remembers your name and the last think you talked about. I actually saw her at the grocery store once (I think this was after my second time seeing her maybe), and she remember my name before I could think of hers! It’s truly ridiculous. It would take you several years to rack up the time spent with any other dentist than you get with Dr. Julie after just one visit. Don’t believe the skepticism, Dr. Julie and her practice deserve every 5 star rating they get. Keep it up!

Dr. Julie Wills is truly amazing. I hadn’t been to a dentist in several years so just making the call to schedule the appointment took some courage but I am so glad I did. Dr. Wills uses the latest technology and it is quite amazing to be able to see your photos of your teeth right up on a flat screen. She explained everything and I felt like I was in very good hands. Thank you Dr. Wills!!! I can’t wait for my 6 month check up AND I will be telling all my friends about Healthy Start Dentistry.

Dr Julie is the best dentist I’ve ever seen.  She’s very personable, explains everything in advance, and is quite gentle.  She also does a great job with our kids.  The staff at Healthy Start is consistently friendly and warm.  This is a top notch practice!  I would highly recommend it to anyone.

More than a year later, and I still love this office! Julie and Lindsey are great, I literally look forward to catching up with them every time I come. I was/am between insurances for a bit, so I was paying out of pocket for my work. They don’t have a payment plan, so be warned if you don’t have insurance. I’m waiting for my new insurance to start, and am not sure how much will actually be covered with the new coverage. But I still plan to continue going here, even if my insurance doesn’t cover everything. To me, it’s worth paying more if it means less stress. Before, I literally would feel anxiety the days leading up to appointments. That thought makes me laugh now because I literally look forward to it. I feel like Bill Murray in The Little Shop of Horrors! Except Julie is NOT Steve Martin haha. I recommend this office to all my dentist fearing friends.

Dr. Julie was impressive, likely the most educated and friendliest dentist I’ve ever visited. She did a full bite wing analysis on my mouth and explained what dentists look for on the digital x rays. Not only was she super friendly, but she had no dental hygienists – taking care of everything herself. She taught me a lot about why soft bristle toothbrushes are recommended (enamel protection) and had a bomb mint-chocolate flavored tooth polish. She uses sonicwave cleaning, which is the latest technology in dentistry. I didn’t like the noise associated with the high pitched sonicwave (earplugs lol) but it cleaned my mouth very well. She conducted a very thorough analysis on my mouth and actually taught me a lot about what dentists look for in regards to enamel, nerves, mineral spots, premorbid cancer, etc. I really cannot recommend this woman enough. Highly personalized, friendly care, extremely educated with the latest dental technology. If you want an elite dentist, hit up Julie.

I grew up with my hometown dentist that I knew and trusted, and since moving away from home 13 years ago I have jumped from dentist to dentist as I moved to Madison, and then to Milwaukee, and really never had a good experience.  I decided to sit down and really spend a lot of time doing my research before trying another dentist, and I ultimately came across Dr. Julie’s website and her reviews.  I figured that if this many people had a good experience she had to be good, and it turns out she was great!  I even had a little cosmetic issue with discoloration caused by fluorosis I never trusted anyone to fix and I gave her a shot and she did a fantastic job with that as well.  She will be my dentist as long as I live in Milwaukee
