Happy to say I chose HVO for my orthodontic treatment. I just got my braces off in October :D!!! The entire staff is so kind, and they work to be as efficient as possible. I spent hardly any time at all in the waiting room. But even if you do, they have a little game room for the kids, some computers for the tweens, coffee for the parents, and a brushing/flossing station just in case you didn’t have time to do so before coming in. The whole place is really nice, the patient chairs are super comfy. The patient area is open- no separate rooms for each patient- which I found a lot less intimidating. There’s also a movie playing on tv screens above the patient seat. They have contests, drawings, and rewards for showing up to appts on time and stuff like that. They usually keep appointments as short as possible, whereas Western Dental, for example, would have you wait an hour or 2 in the waiting room, and then another hour in the seat just waiting for the doctor to come in and do a procedure that takes half an hour at most -_- HVO seemed too good to be true. You check in, sit and wait a little, they call you in, do what they need to do, and you’re off. (Except very busy days/times, which are usually later in the afternoon, but even then, they never beat Western Dental’s inefficiency). On your way out of an appt. you go to the front desk to schedule the next one. they give you a print out reminder that includes the approximate length for your next visit- they’re usually pretty accurate. I felt welcomed from the first day consultation, and I really got the feeling that they love what they do and that they’re honest about any costs & needed treatment. Before I got my braces my teeth were extremely crowded, and sometimes my jaw would lock and I couldn’t close it. Ever since I started treatment with them, that hasn’t been a problem at all. I can smile confidently and I’m not afraid of my jaw locking anymore. I have a few friends who have gotten their braces elsewhere and their orthodontists have proven inefficient and costly. The time estimate for my treatment was 24 months. It ended up taking a couple months longer, but my friends, who got their braces elsewhere long before I did, are still wearing theirs 😮 In short, Dr. Fortney and the entire staff know what they’re doing!!

We have patients at HVO for 4 years.  With 6 children we will be patients for years to come!  The best thing about HVO isn’t the fun staff, upbeat office or coffee bar…its that you can be confident you are only getting the care you need.  I have had Dr. Fortney tell us to wait on treatment for some of our kids and let nature take it’s course. I can trust that at this office my kids will get great smiles with first class treatment. Thank you

Not only is the facility extremely impressive, there seems to be great care taken in all areas of Hidden Valley Orthodontics which we appreciate greatly. We have been very happy with the treatment given to each of our three children. Our oldest, has completed Invisalign with beautiful results. Our second is between treatments and now our youngest has just begun her orthodontic care. In addition, we have been pleasantly surprised at the effort Dr. Fortney and staff make to be involved in the activities or things that mean a lot to their patients.

Best technology and Dr. Fortney knows her stuff! Super clean and fun environment. They have video games, contests, member parties, etc. Everyone is nice and I’ve never had an issue. Best ran medical office I’ve ever seen. We had our daughter starting visits when she was young so the doctor could keep an eye on her development and catch issues early. I feel like my daughter received an individualized treatment plan based on her needs. So, we did the same for our younger son. Turned out he had an extra tooth and needed it removed in order to help his adult teeth come in properly. HVO comes highly recommended in the Escondido community, but I still did my own research and Dr. Fortney stands above her peers in education and performance. Don’t hesitate to see her for a free consultation.

My family loves Dr. Fortney and Hidden Valley Orthodontics. I am so excited because I had a special reason for asking to get my braces off quickly and they are doing their very best. Also, when i first got my braces on, I crashed while doing a new skill at gymnastics and knocked my brackets off. They were so nice to meet me at the office after hours and put me back together. They didn’t even make me feel bad and I really appreciate that. HVO treats me really well and they are honest about how long or how uncomfortable each appointment will be, but they are really gentle. If I have to have braces, I’m glad that I get to go to Hidden Valley. Parent note: Mom likes the fact that the office is very organized, clean, and punctual.

Hidden valley orthodontics has been great!  I’m thirteen and all the people there are so friendly and gentle when they work on me.  They do their best to make you as comfortable as possible.  My 18 year old brother got his braces from them and now is teeth are as beautiful as can be!  It makes me excited to get mine off so I could have just as a beautiful smile as his.  I would recommend HVO to people of all ages.

I am so happy with my experience at HVO so far. Every single one of the staff here are amazing. The office itself is clean and high tech with top of the line equipment. Teeth are permanent and I don’t want to mess around with cheap equipment and doctors who won’t invest in their own practice, I want them to be amazing so I expect amazing technology and HVO delivers! I am just wrapping up my first round of Invisalign trays. I went today to have a new scan and hopefully my final trays ordered to fine tune the movement of my teeth. Dr. Fortney is so patient and has no problem taking the time to answer any questions I have. She’s open and honest about treatment, what I can expect and is completely comfortable hearing what I want and expect. I’ve had multiple appointments here and every time every person I encounter is kind. From the front desk to the financial people, the marketing people, the treatment people, literally everyone! Shout out to Linda & Donna who are both incredible! If you have the chance to work with either of them one on one do so! They really help make the process so much easier. I’ll update when I am completely finished with my treatment. So far it’s been excellent and I would highly recommend HVO to anyone!

I’ve been a patient here and both my kids had treatment here as well. I highly recommend Dr. Fortney and her team. My smile is beautiful, they really listen, and are very professional and legitimately love what they do. I worked with Cassandra today and she was so patient and kind. They are wonderful ❤️

I just got my braces at Hidden Valley Orthodontics one month ago. My family has had orthodontic treatment in the recent past with different orthodontists in the north county area. So, I did not blindly pick them. However, it was the treatment from the staff that what made up my mind. Yet, the reason I write this review is that I have an example of the great service they provide. I was out of town on business during the second week I had my braces. I returned home briefly on at 4 pm on a Sunday and had to turn and go back out if town the next morning. I had a wire poking me in the back of my mouth and remembered the said there was someone on-call if I was I extreme discomfort, and I was! I called their number and the message gave me another number to call for the on-call assistant. I told the assistant my situation and she met me at the office at 5 pm, an hour later on a Sunday, and fixed my wire. What a relief! What Service! I’ve popped back in three more times due in the past two weeks for other little issues and had such a great experience. We never received that type of service with my husband’s braces or my sister’s braces, who both had them as adults a few years back. My 8 year old son is next for braces, and we are defiantly going to Hidden Valley Orthodontics.
