I believe High Park Dental Group is a health-centered dental practice, as opposed to an insurance-driven practice. I believe their recommendations for treatment are based on sound judgment, not on what dental plans may “allow”.

Our initial appointment was devoted to reviewing medical and dental histories and conducting a thorough clinical examination. Diagnostic films, models and photos are updated as necessary.

Dr. Cruz is very thorough and explains everything as she does the exam.  To me the most important thing is that I feel safe and know I will not suffer any pain whatsoever.  

I have had a root canal and also surgery to have implants put in and there was never any pain at all.  During both procedures I did not even feel that first shot only the feeling of the  medicine going into my gum.  Today I get the implants, my gums have healed with the surgery needed to install the implants.  

Treatment options are thoroughly explained at the subsequent appointment.  The Office is clean and beautiful, the staff – so friendly and accommodating.  They also have the latest equipment and technology and the knowledge is nothing but FIRST CLASS!

I could go on and on how great my Dentist is but I think the best thing is to just experience it for yourself.  Find the comfort, the freedom of being nervous, scared and all the emotions that it you when you have to go to the dentist.

I was awoken with the worse tooth ache, and in the morning searched for the dentist that opened the earliest. Probably not the best way to find a dentist, but I am so grateful to have found them. They were able to fit me in right away, and I am now pain free. Everyone in the office was very professional and made sure I was comfortable at all times.

Dr. Cruz and her staff are the best. Like many others, going to the dentist was not one of my favorite things. That has all changed. You are relaxed from the moment you enter. I now actually look forward to my cleaning every four months.

I’ve been coming to High Park Dental group for several years and it has to be the best dentist office in OC.
1. The office itself is very well decorated and has a relaxing, homey ambiance and things always seem new and up to date.
2. All of the office staff – from the receptionist to the dental hygienist- are amazing. Everyone is so nice and calm and helpful.
3. I normally see Dr. Cruze but I’ve also seen (partner dentist) and they are incredible! They always remember me and my the rest of my family that sees them and they’re both so kind and friendly and MOST importantly they are QUICK and GENTLE and get the job done right.

I, like most people, get some pretty serious anxiety over going to the dentist but High Park Dental Group really makes it much easier. Thank you to everyone who has helped me over the years!

So I’ve been coming to High Park Dental for a little over a year now. I have to say right off the bat that I’m absolutely satisfied with the work I’ve had done here.

All the staff, hygienists, and doctors have been nothing short of excellent, professional and kind. As a child my mom had neglected my dental care and needless to say I had to have some deep cleanings done. I worked most of my adult life to fix it, but the hygienist and dentist both made sure I was taken care of. They weren’t pushy with services and didn’t try to make me feel bad rather they continued to encourage my upkeep and cleanings, hence why I’ve continued to come back to them.

I wanted to personally thank Monica, Sabrina, Jenny, Sean, and (partner dentist) and Dr. Cruz for the kindness, their awesomeness, and professionalism and making me feel taken care of and getting my dental work back on track.

I was very lucky to find this place after breaking a tooth.  The staff is super friendly and amazing.  Dr Cruz was awesome, going to the dentist can be scary, especially when they tell you you’ll be needing a root canal.  Dr Cruz made me feel safe and kept me informed of what was going on which made my experience incredibly comfortable and practically painless.  Yep, comfortable root canal, I was shocked.  I can’t thank you guys enough, no more dental anxiety!

Been going to high park dental for about ten years now. (Partner dentist) and Dr. Cruz are very busy people but I’m glad they still take time to know you personally. I would highly suggest them to anyone. They’re very friendly and very professional!

Dr. Vanessa Cruz is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She is the best, you will be happy about having a dentist appointment after meeting her.  She does use some high tech instruments which is pretty cool. She has also filled a cavity for me, and I love how they have headphones to accommodate us during these noisy session. I am really happy I chose Dr. Vanessa Cruz as my dentist.

I’ve been coming here since before I could drive and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Prior to seeing Dr. Cruz, I would need to take a Valium to go to any dentist appointments. Unfortunately a long trial and error of other dentists in the area left me absolutely terrified of even a cleaning.

From the first time I saw Dr.Cruz she was so kind and genuinely interested in the health of my teeth as well as my life. She has the MOST calming presence and always makes me feel at ease. The one time I had a cavity filled by her, it felt like it was over before it began. She works quickly yet always produces quality work. My entire family and boyfriend now see her.

I saw Dr. Hoppe for the first time yesterday during a cleaning. It was the same experience. He made sure to do a thorough review of my file since I’m not typically his patient. And took the time to take pictures and walked me through everything he was doing and thinking.

I’m not sure why it’s so difficult to find a good quality compassionate dentist. But Dr. Cruz and Dr. Hoppe have built a practice I’d be happy to recommend to anyone!

I use to be terrified of the dentist. That statement no longer rings true do to the doctors, hygienists, and staff at Highpark Dental. I was referred to Highpark by a friend and have since referred two people myself.

This office is excellent from start to finish. First of all, the appointment process can be done online or by phone. Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly and concerned. Dr. Cruz was very thorough as was the hygienist. To top it all off their prices are very good, and our insurance covers almost all of the bill. One member of our family had a filling done and he sailed through it with headphones of his favorite music. They try to make you feel as comfortable as they possibly can while you’re there. Both (partner dentist) and Cruz are highly recommended.

Dr. Cruz and staff continue to provide excellent dental care. I have been a patient for several years now and every visit reinforces my confidence in them. Five stars!

It had been 6 years since I saw a dentist. I was so afraid to be judged and scolded. My in-laws recommended that I go to High Park and it was a Fantastic experience from day one. The office is reminiscent of spa and makes you feel at ease. Everyone I met there was very kind and helpful. Especially Dr. Cruz! She was very understanding, and wanted to help me develop a plan to take care of my teeth. They did a thorough cleaning and x-rays. Then I went back to get some old filling replaced. It was not painful at all. She took care of 2 fillings in less than an hour! It was the Best experience I have ever had at a Dentist! A Big Thank You to Dr. Cruz and the staff at High Park Dental. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist!!

Without exception, this is the best, most professional, up-to-date and friendly dental office we have ever experienced. My husband and I are senior citizens so we have been to many dentists over the years but finding Dr. Cruz and (partner dentist) was an answer to prayer. They are knowledgeable and professional and have seen us through some very difficult dental situations. Whether it is an emergency or just a scheduled visit, they are there to help. We never have to wait, their office is immaculate and technically very up-to-date and they have the best dental hygienist, Rae, who has dealt with my worries and phobias with her calm and gentle assurances and touch. We have been patients of High Park Dental for over 10 years and have never regretted going to them, they are the best!

These aren’t just dentists, they treat you as family which is a very comforting thing when someone is drilling holes in your teeth. I have been going to High Park Dental for years and  their skills, commitment and empathy are outstanding. The results are is the highest dental care with the lowest level of pain. Like, what pain? When I recently had to change health insurance providers, I made darn sure to sign up for a plan that included High Park Dental. Best of the best!

I am (was) deathly afraid of the dentist due to a death dentist from childhood. My wife found Dr. Cruz and set up an appointment for me. It was a great choice. She is highly competent and painless. She has great chair side manners and lets you know what to expect.

I like the fact that they try to get you in ASAP and fix what is wrong. They also let you know your options without pressuring you to spend thousands of $$$$..

I’ve had trust issues with dentists for awhile now. Honestly i haven’t really trusted anyone since my
pediatric dentist! I’ve been lied to, charged extra and have done unnecessary dental work. One dentist said I had TWELVE cavities, TWELVE!! I had no insurance and was in college. How would i pay for that?! Thankfully i got a 2nd opinion. I had no cavities, zero! So that pretty much started my trust issues!  Once again, I felt i was lied to and needed to find another dentist after I was told i needed to come back in 4 months instead of 6. Red flag. Never had many issues and now all of a sudden i need to come back sooner?! Of course insurance doesn’t pay for that but they’d give me a “special deal.” Time for a new dentist, again!

I did a lot of research and stumbled upon High Park Dental. My husband was the guinea pig  this time and went first. He was very impressed with the office staff and Dr Cruz. He hadn’t been in awhile so he did need some extra work. But he said he really liked how Dr Cruz explained everything in detail and was very gentle. I finally had my appointment and i agree! It felt like I’ve known her for ages. It definitely felt like she genuinely cared and listened to my previous dental anxieties! Ricci was my hygienist and she was so sweet. She even gave me some pointers that actually no one has told me before. She was thorough and gentle! I had no cavities and definitely don’t have to go back in 4 months like our other dentist suggested! Thank you Dr Cruz and staff! We finally found our forever dentist!

Drs Cruz and (partner dentist) are amazing!! Not only are they the VERY BEST DENTISTS in the whole OC, but they are so very kind and caring!! I have a chronic pain condition, they take extra time with me and understand I am a big baby!! The Doctors command the highest professionalism from all the staff in the office, my boys and husband are also patients! I am grateful to have such exceptional dentists taking care of me and my family!

Dr. Vanessa Cruz is my dentist and I have been entrusting her with my teeth for several years now. She is wonderful. Caring, friendly, well educated, patient, and thorough. I told her she reminds me of an A+ student – always double checking her work. I respect that. She is also very nice and listens exceptionally well to any concerns or uneasiness I might have. Phone calls are promptly returned as well. I have tried other dentists, and like I told her, she’s the best. Highly qualified, experienced doctor with modern equipment in a lovely office, staffed by friendly people. Must try Dr. Cruz!

(Partner dentist) and Dr. Cruz have been taking care of my husband and I for more than a decade! By far my favorite dentists! Today, when my sons pediatric dentists could not see my son Dr. Cruz made time for him! Unless than 2 minutes she had his stubborn wiggly tooth out and he was finally out of pain! Thank you so much for always taking time for our family!

It’s rare that a dentist can make going to see them a painless, perhaps even approaching an enjoyable experience.  High Park Dental have succeeded in this.

The staff is professional, courteous and friendly. Both (partner dentist) and Dr. Cruz are excellent dentists who really care about their patients.  

I also love the fact that they don’t attempt to push a lot of unnecessary work or services and just take care of what’s really needed.
