In Oct, I took my Chinese family here for cleaning (parents) and wisdom teeth extractions (sister). The office staff was totally friendly and patient with my family who speaks little English. We sat down to fill out forms and were taken inside right away! Once seated, Dr Kong and Dr Schrotenboer greeted us and explained to my family the condition of their oral health and what needed to be done. They’re both detailed and patient when answering questions even with my translation every now and then. My family all seemed at ease even with the language barrier. My sister’s wisdom teeth extraction took just minutes. My mom who is afraid of pain didn’t feel a pinch during her deep cleaning. My dad was scheduled for a cleaning but Dr Kong recommended to extract his two wisdom teeth in order to be able to clean and save the teeth next to them. It was so convenient that Dr Schrotenboer was in the office and was able to take out his wisdom teeth as well. They all took one dose of Advil right after and didn’t complain about any pain. I told them I could take them home if they’re in pain or Fashion Outlets. They chose shopping unanimously. LOL. At night, we all had pho and they devoured everything. The next day my family didn’t ask for any more painkillers than just the one dose they took. My sister (typical millennials) who is very obsessed with the way she looks didn’t say a word about looking puffy or swelling. It was a huge relief for me. They got on a plane to Hong Kong five days later and 5 pounds heavier than when they arrived! LOL. Kudos to everyone to High Point for your care and making my family feel at ease 🙂

I can’t even begin to explain how great of a dentist office this is. Dr. Kong is a magician or something because he’s extremely skilled and does phenomenal work. I’ve been going to this office for almost 3 years now and every visit has been extremely accommodating. Everyone has such a great and positive attitude and, unlike other dental offices I’ve been to, not once did I ever feel ashamed or embarrassed over how bad my teeth looked. The ladies at the front desk are so nice and work with you and your schedule in such an understanding way and always have an answer for any questions you may have. The dental assistants are also very kind and always seem excited for you after you’ve finished your appointment, just don’t forget your toothbrush! Ha! The hygienists are awesome as well and are great at explaining the correct way to take care of your teeth, again, without making you feel bad for yourself. Which leads me back to the magical unicorn that is the illustrious, Dr. Kong. He helped me develop a plan to get my entire mouth cleaned, capped, filled and ready to deliver a smile. I’ll spare the details on just HOW bad my teeth were, because it was pretty bad, but Dr. Kong was as supportive of me accomplishing this feat as he was excited to see it all come to fruition. Eventually, I received the Six Month Smiles treatment for orthodontics and now I’ve successfully completed all that I’ve been wanting to accomplish, for myself, for YEARS but just felt so embarrassed. This is by far the best dental establishment I’ve ever been to. I’m so appreciative and thankful of the entire staff for being so friendly, thoughtful and supportive of myself as well as other patients. You really don’t see that a lot these days. Honestly, if I was famous and lived in Hollywood or something, I would personally fly out to Elgin, IL just to have Dr. Kong look at my teeth. Ha! That may sound wild dramatic but it’s true and I’d highly recommend this office to anyone looking for an accommodating, comfortable & great experience with a new dentist. – Dave S.

I’ve been coming in for a couple of years and am very pleased! Needed an emergency visit the other day and they were most accommodating. The office staff is very professional and friendly. I honestly cannot rave enough about High Point and their team! They treat you like family. They don’t treat you like strangers. Dr. Kong is very soothing and does a great job. I’ve been to a couple other dentist offices in my life and never have I been to one as great as High Point. I’ve been a customer for many years now and can’t stress enough how amazing this staff is. They’re extremely friendly and explain everything to you in detail. They offer great amenities and it’s very accommodating when it comes to scheduling visits. Felicia has been cleaning my teeth for some time and does such a through job and gets me in and out without a hitch (bonus: she also looks good when she brushes her hair). If you need to go to a dentist and feel at home, then this is the place for you. The staff is made out of courteous and professional people. Dr. Kong is very experienced and if you are very anxious when it comes to visiting the dentist, (like myself), then worry no more. Dr. Kong really cares for his patients and is thorough with the treatment you will need, he is also a funny and down to earth person. I know this because I just got my root canal and crown done in one day! I was there probably about 4 – 6 hours and never felt more comfortable at a dentist like I felt at High Point Family Dentistry. Jessica and Yelenia did an amazing job watching out for me during my stay there, I would definitely ask to have the same dental assistants on my next visits. Lastly, I would like to thank Diana and Felicia for helping me set up my first appointment and to the receptionists for making me feel so welcomed from the moment I step into the dental office.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in 17 years, and I’m glad I wound up here when I decided to go. Everyone is very friendly and professional up to and including the dentist. The facility is very formal and upscale, but the staff is very friendly and casual. I think that’s what most people want whether they know it or not. Based on my visits and procedures and the research I’ve done their pricing is at the low end of the market. They have an in house membership and discount plan as well as financing, so you can skip dental insurance. I’ll spare you the details, but they passed on the opportunity to talk me into things I didn’t need–even after 17 years of neglect. If you want a contemporary first class experience and an old fashioned square deal this is the place. It’s worth the trip.

Can’t say enough about this place. My family and I have been coming here for about three years now, and every time we have had an amazing experience. So, allow me to do my first review ever. I’m real sketchy on trying out new dentists just cause not every dentist does what’s best for you. First day there, I already liked their work a trillion times better than my old teeth scrapers and felt as if I’ve been going there for years! I mean sh*t, they were cleaning my teeth and telling me things that I never knew, that my old dentist never did or told me (see what I did right there, I said a swear word just so you know I wrote this). Anywho, like I was saying. They are very professional, extremely friendly and social with you, and make you feel right at home every time you step foot in the door. And that my friends, is the way it should be. Plus I was always in the beach room! How many of you have ever been that close to the beach while getting those choppers cleaned?!! Dr. Kong and his team are amazing! I started the invisiline process in May. When I first had the invisiline placed I had a mini freak out about the buttons being on my front 4 teeth. I explained my concern to Dr. Kong and his dental hygienist, Nicole. They were completely understanding and able to get me in the next couple weeks to have the front buttons removed then placed on different teeth a couple weeks after that. I would definitely recommend them to any friend or family member. I have complete trust that they will help me with any teeth concerns I have in the future. We moved out of the Elgin area where High Point is located to a town in Lake County. My wife and I still go there because of the friendly, quality care they provide. They are always in a good mood. And it helps the atmosphere of a type of place that, we can all agree, rather avoid if we could. From a friendly reception to a friendly hygienist, to a friendly dentist, it’s the whole friendly customer service package. And as far as quality, I’ve had crowns and fillings and the like from other dentists in the past, but the teeth that have been fixed would have the fix wear out prematurely. So far in the 7 years we’ve been going there, I haven’t had any problems with their work. They have refilled and recrowned some of those teeth along with some new work and no problems so far. Dr. Kong has been my main dentist, but I’ve also been taken care of by Dr. Albert so it shows the kind of high quality practice they are running over there with there great staff. For as long as we are in the Chicago land area, we’ll be going there.

Im happy that I found High Point Dentistry, my implant was perfect, looks natural, now I can smile with confident. Although my treatment was extended due to pandemic, but then it ended perfectly well. This was my first change in densistry They have complementary blankets, headphones, neck pillows, aromatherapy scents, etc. The staff here were absolutely phenomenal. Anum, Jessica and doctor Erickson were the ladies who helped me out, and I cannot Emphasis how well they explained everything to me to better the caring of my teeth. This business really goes the extra mile for its patients. A few weeks ago, I had an unexpected dental emergency and didn’t have a dentist in the area. A doctor from High Point returned my call on a Sunday (!) even though I wasn’t a patient and got me in early Monday morning. The follow through, caring and staff have all been excellent. There are many ‘extras’ which make the visits more enjoyable – TVs on the ceiling, neck pillows, bottled water, and so on. We have definitely found our new dentist!

Had an appointment the other day for X-rays and cleaning and I happen to miss it. They called me right at the time of my appointment to reschedule. Unfortunately I wasn’t able too and had to call to reschedule. I then received a 2nd call about 3 min after to ask if I was still interested to come in and complete the X-rays, I accepted. I can in and after they took the X-rays they informed me that they were able to fit me in for my cleaning. I was very happy and excited and wasn’t charged for the missed appointment Thank you! I have been going to High point family dentistry for the past few months. I had gone to a dentist maybe twice in my childhood and at the age of 25 found myself needing to catch up on it all, finally. I am not at all okay with needles and I knew that pretty much everything I had to have done required them. I was open and honest about my fear and not once did anyone in the office make me feel silly or ashamed over it. Dr. Kong is extremely professional and friendly. Every interaction I have had with an employee has been great. I will no longer dread going to the dentist. It has been a pleasant surprise to find that I went form being nervous the second I thought about going to the dentist to now not minding the experience at all. If you are someone that is terrified of needles or just a little scared of dental procedures I highly suggest High point family dentistry. They were great at working within my insurance constraints and I enjoy that they have a TV in the exam room so you aren’t bored if you forget your phone. They even have headphones!

I’ve hopped around to a few dentists in the Elgin area, but stopped once I found High Point. I have a lot of dental issues due to having porous teeth and therefore spend a lot of time at the dentist. I was thrilled to find somewhere so professional (and SO CLEAN). The three dentists I’ve seen have all been great, and the hygienists are very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes once I arrive, and I also appreciate being able to watch Netflix while my teeth are worked on (some rooms even have TVs on the ceiling). Also, they are very up front about the cost of procedures and will provide you with a print out of everything in advance so you won’t be surprised when the bill comes at the end of the appointment. I opted to go through High Point for Invisalign right before COVID hit, and they were very accommodating in getting me new trays even when they had to temporarily close during the initial shelter in place. Now that they are open again, they go above and beyond to take precautions to protect the staff and patients.

i LOVE coming to the dentist. The staff is PHENOMENAL and i always feel at-ease and at home here. They are so attentive and are always willing to make everyone personable. Nicole is absolutely the best and so are all of the employees, from the receptionists to the doctors. Dr. Kong is such a great guy, and knows exactly what he is doing when he is working on you. I’ve always had this weird love hate relationships with any kind of medical/ clinic facility. Idk if it whole sterilized smell or because I just don’t like doctors! But anyways. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the dentist, I know I know crazy! I decided to come to this place because it’s at a perfect distance from home, walking in I was already satisfied. The was small and cossy. I was immediacy greeted by a friendly receptionist. Felicia was the one that did my teeth cleaning and I have to say I will no longer be scared of the dentist. Lol. She was very friendly, caring, and above all patient with every little freak out I would get.
