I went to a dentist that indicated I needed a root canal and had 8 cavities. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Holt Family Dentistry. Dr. Holt completed a thorough examination at which time she advised that I had 9 cavities. Dr. Holt also referred me to an Endodontist which advised that I did not need a root canal. Dr. Holt and her staff were very professional, pleasant and helpful. Dr. Holt is a great dentist, please check her out. PAH

Dr. Holt and her staff are amazing! Making the appointment was easy, filling out forms before your appointment was easy, and everyone in the office is nice greeting you with a smile. Dr. Holt explained everything regarding my treatment plan, asked several times if I had questions, and ensured I was comfortable with moving forward. She definitely addressed everything in my visit. Their COVID protocols are definitely on point, office is immaculately clean, and I felt incredibly safe and protected. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a dentist!

My daughter has always been scared to go to the dentist since she had a bad experience as a toddler. Since being seen by Dr. Holt and her staff, my daughter has enjoyed her visits and her worries have subsided. Dr. Holt and her team have created a trusting and safe environment for my daughter. Our dental visits are now something she looks forward too!!! What a difference a caring team can make! #forevergrateful

I’ve been going here ever since I’ve lived in Charlotte. It’s close by and it’s “updated”. The office itself is nice and refreshing and it’s very obvious that it’s run by women. The decor is nice and it’s just very clean. The staff is super friendly like always and I’ve never had issues with insurance. I’ve always felt safe coming here during covid. They take all the precautions. I see Misti as my hygienist and she’s always super nice and personable. Dr. Holt is also very friendly and courteous and I feel like she checks every little thing. She noticed a mark on my lip and thought maybe I should get checked out which I did appreciate because I feel like most dentists wouldn’t go out of the way for that. My husband sees her also and loves going here. This place is great and high end in my opinion and in a great location!

Very kind and friendly people who do great work. I am a newer patient and have been very satisfied. They have very good COVID protocols and are extremely clean. Also very convenient process of completely paperwork and paying online ahead of time, making it an easy in and out process upon arrival for your appointment. I definitely recommend.

Did I walk into a spa? OMG! The remodeling that Dr. Holt has done will leave you confused. Stunning tile work and gorgeous contemporary features, the new “digs” rival a resort. Dr. Holt and her staff are absolutely amazing. Dr. Holt is extremely kind, knowledgeable, professional and personable. She has also surrounded herself with top-notch staff. Chris, who checks you in, is like a girlfriend you’ve had for years. She’s bubbly, warm and helpful. But it doesn’t stop there. Two visits ago, I, the therapist, had an emotional meltdown at the dentist office. Who does that? I had to explain that my husband had been out of work to the young lady who does claims. I burst into tears. You would have thought she was trained in Counseling. She was so comforting and took considerable time to make sure I was “ok”. I am one who doesn’t floss so I DETEST going to the dentist. But I seriously have struck gold with Dr. Holt and her staff. If I must go to the dentist, this is the only place I will go! Lobby

Dr. Holt and her staff are amazing!!! We have been going to her for years. She and her staff make you feel more like family than a number as most doctor offices do these days. I especially want to thank Margarita as she is by far the best dental hygienist I have been to. She is caring, gentle, and compassionate!!! When Dr. Holt treats you, she is caring, concerned and takes the time to address any and all concerns you may have. We need more doctors and staff like hers!!!! Thank you Dr. Holt for the many years of great service you have provided. I HIGHLY recommend her practice!!!!!!

Dr Holt and her staff are awesome. I moved here 1 yr ago and I’m so happy I found her. She is very thorough and has the latest state-of-the-art equipment in her office. The office is also very clean and comfortable to give you the best overall experience. I would definitely recommend Holt Family Dentistry.

Dr. Holt and her staff are my absolute favorite! As a lifelong nervous dentist patient, they put me at ease and take such great care of all my dental needs. I just had a regular check in and am so impressed by the extra measures the office has put in place for Covid-19 precautions. I felt safe and that everything was clean. I’ll continue to rave about Dr. Holt to all!!

Dr. Holt and her staff are truly gems. I have high (*HIGH*) anxiety when visiting any sort of dental office. I’ve been to many. And it’s common to be brushed off as just not “strong enough” or worse treated like a child. I am, I assure you, both strong and mature. But the thought of going to the dentist makes me weak in the knees. Dr. Holt and her staff treat me with great compassion and appropriate respect. From the moment I enter her office to the moment I leave, I feel like they care that it is hard for me to go and applaud my efforts to be healthy. Their receptionist is kind and friendly. I feel like I’m walking into a friend’s home when I enter. Somehow, she is able to exude a calm, welcoming presence. Hard to do in a dentist office! I always go to Kim to have my teeth cleaned. She has a wonderful, relaxed manner about her. I expect my hygienist to be well-trained, but she is remarkably knowledgeable about all things teeth. I have yet to find a question she can’t answer using clear, non-medical terminology that my very non-medical (and did I mention highly anxious?) brain can understand.She is also incredibly well-trained or just naturally adept at handing a high-anxiety patient and all my “special” quirks. She has a remarkably level of sensitivity to my emotional and physical needs. Did I mention that she also has the gentlest hand I’ve ever encountered with a hygienist? I honestly don’t know if I’d be able to handle having my teeth cleaned right now if it weren’t for her. And then there’s Dr. Holt herself, who is hands down the least intimidating dentist I’ve ever met. It is clear that her own compassion and desire to help her patients is what flows over into her staff choices. She is swift, but gentle. She doesn’t mumble dentistry nonsense while poking around in your mouth, and when dentistry jargon is needed, she willingly translates the somewhat terrifying words into clear, easy to understand English if you ask. I get the distinct impression that she strives to equip her patients with the knowledge and power to make decisions that will positively affect their health rather than just dictating a course that you can take or leave. I know reviews without negative comments are often hard to believe, but I honestly don’t have any complaints about this office. Need more proof? I continue to visit her office for regular cleanings even without dental insurance! I pay 100% out of pocket. I highly recommend her to my family, friends, co-workers, and even you, my fellow Yelpers.

I absolutely adore Dr. Holt and her team! They are always happy to see you, are interested in what’s going on in your personal life, as well as your dental hygiene life, and I have never met one person there that I had an issue with or didn’t like. I am so thankful that I found them as my dentist after moving to the Charlotte area.

Dr. Holt and hygienist Misti are kind, professional, and efficient. I always feel welcomed when I walk in the office and never have to deal with long wait times or visits like I did at my old practice. Misti is very attentive and sweet. I feel comfortable during my cleanings even though I normally dislike dental work. Will miss Holt Family Dentistry when I move.

I recently went to Holt Family Dentistry for a routine cleaning and assessment. I have lived in several states and really didn’t know what to expect because I discovered this office through a mass marketing mailing…which I never read! Dr. Holt was AMAZING and extremely thorough. I would recommend her to the most selective clientele. Her team was gracious, as well. In life, when you pay your money–all you want is fair and consistent customer service and this office is WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND. Dont’ ever change, Dr. Holt and Team!!!

Thank you Dr. Holt! Your staff estimated the price for regluing a tooth. You saw us same day, although she wasn’t a patient. You were patient in explaining each step of the examination and procedure. You worked with the crown we brought i, and expertly placed and cemented it, taking special care to ensure it felt right. You didn’t hesitate to trim the crown to ensure a comfortable bite. When we called back with a report of inflammation, your office calmly and reassuringly offered advice. Most impressive of all, the whole procedure was under the office estimate! Thank you Dr. Holt!

I have been going here for over 10 years. My whole family goes to Dr. Holt. They are by far the best! They are so professional, thorough and knowledgeable. The place is spotless and I feel perfectly safe getting my teeth cleaned there during the pandemic. They go to great lengths to ensure safety for all patients.

I was actually referred to Dr. Holt by my husband and we have been pleased with all the services provided. Dr. Holt and her entire staff are so friendly and professional. The office is always so clean and well maintained. Dr. Holt has always taken the time to listen and carefully assess my dental needs over the years. Margarita has been cleaning my teeth for the past couple of years and she is so thorough and such a joy to talk to every visit. You honestly can’t go wrong with this office.

We chose Holt Family Dentistry for the convenience; it was close to home and always easy to schedule our appointments. We have stayed with Dr. Holt because she and her staff are amazing. We moved 20 minutes outside the city, and will continue to see Dr Holt because of the way we are treated. She and her staff are genuinely concerned about their patients. I have a three year old who hates to brush her teeth at home. Dr. Holts office is a judgement free zone! She encourages me and gives me suggestions about how to deal with my daughter’s (lack of) tooth brushing at home. The best part, though, is that my daughter is actually cooperative with Dr. Holt and her staff at the office! Dr. Holt and her entire staff are professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Where do I begin to sing the praises of Holt Family Dentistry? I went to my last dentist for ooohh….20 years back home in Michigan. Seriously. Every member of my family went there. It was one of the ways I would see my dad when I got older, he was always there getting his teeth cleaned or some other dental procedure he felt was urgently necessary. The dentist came to my sister’s wedding. So needless to say, I was used to a VERY friendly and family like atmosphere. That left big shoes to fill when I moved to Charlotte two years ago. I had been to the chain dentists where I felt like a number and couldn’t get a callback. Not for me. To my utmost shame…I neglected going to the dentist for a few years, my poor teeth. Flying home to see Dr. Dave was just out of the question, my private plane was in the shop. Then lo and behold…a golden letter in the mail from Holt Family Dentistry. It was warm and inviting and suggested I make a dental appt. “Aw what the hell..” I thought. It was time and she went to U of M (Go Blue!). I called a left a message….ball is in their court now. Maybe i’ll just never have to get my teeth cleaned again (Hehe). Cut to the next day when Chris called me to set up an appointment. From the moment I spoke with her, she made me feel warm and invited and even excited *GASP* to come in. They offered early and flexible hours, which was great. The office is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, they offer lemon and cucumber water in the front as well. That just screams classy AF. Julie and Temaria (Sorry if I misspelled your name girl, you’re the BEST!) Dr. Holt’s assistants are fantastic. Everyone here is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Holt has a great bedside (or is it chairside?) manner. She made me feel at ease, but also didn’t make me feel like she was suggesting things that were not necessary to my dental health. Now Yelpers, I have clout on this review because I had to go to Dr. Holt’s not once, not twice, BUT THREE DAYS in a row. The first visit I had some bad news, what a shocker, not going to the dentist for over two years and I had some cavities (those caramel frappuccinos did me wrong). Dr. Holt not only stayed late to knock a few of them out that first day, but then made another appointment the following day to finish the job and for a deep cleaning. Obviously, getting fillings is not a walk in the park, but the team and Dr. Holt made it as pleasant as it could be. They even have TV’s, Netflix, headphones and soft music playing. So I drowned out to NPR and then HGTV to make the drilling noises oh so faint. Dr. Holt was almost a perfectionist with my fillings, going over and over my bite and making sure the fillings fit perfect with no issues. I mean really com’n…who spends that much time on TEETH. They’re hardly used! Right? Haha. Obviously, i’m thankful. I was eating cheese puffs that night and completely forgot I even HAD fillings done that day. Talk about amazing! Modern Medicine right?? Anyways, after all that fun I had getting my teeth drilled out I saw a flyer in the office for ZOOM teeth whitening. I figured if I was doing all that work on my mouth I might as well have it look a little better too so I booked an appointment for the next morning. The ladies laughed when they saw me walk in again. I was like Norm from Cheers at this point. Temaria was so knowledge and friendly about the procedure she put me at ease. Three 15 minute light and bleach treatments. I had ZERO sensitivity at all. Very comfortable and they check in on you to make sure you’re OK. It was relaxing! After all that, it was time for the BIG reveal. I COULDN’T BELIEVE MY TEETH! People….I look like a movie star. Well, my teeth could be in a movie at least. My face would be an extra or an understudy for my teeth. All the ladies were happy for me and even Dr. Holt came in to take a look and compliment me. It was so exciting and a great start to my day. We even all took a selfie together after to show off! By the way ladies, I want that picture! In addition, their SWAG game is tiiiiight. I got two tote bags, color photos of my teeth and gums (i’ll be framing those to hang in my family room) a coffee mug, pens and a chapstick. Com’n guys, we all love swag and i’ll be lookin’ realll good driving around town with my white teeth and my HFD coffee cup. Queue “Who’s that lady?” playing in the background. All said and done I could probably even go on MORE about how great Holt Family Dentistry is but stop reading this review and give them call. Seriously. They are the best. I found my new dental family in Charlotte 🙂 Now they just won’t be able to get rid of me for the next 20 years. THANK YOU DR. HOLT AND ALL YOU FABULOUS LADIES! 🙂
