I have been seeing Dr. Vu for about 6 years since 2008. I really love Dr. Vu and her staff. They are all very nice and funny. Dr. Vu explains everything to you completely so I know exactly what is going on prior to the procedure. I used to fear the dentist as a child and I don’t feel comfortable walking into a dental office and everyone is so serious it feels both cold and scary. Dr. Vu is so friendly and even has had me laughing while she works on my teeth. I am so blessed to find a dentist who keeps it simple and is very caring. What’s better than a dentist who has everyone laughing and smiling. Dr. Vu has cosmetically repaired my teeth today due to a fall. My tooth was like new within an hour. I highly recommend Dr. Vu. Thank You so much Dr. Vu.

Dr Vu’s office and her staff always provide a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Honestly, I have feared the dentist since I was a child. So for me to feel relaxed with a dentist is not easy for me. However, I can honestly say with Dr. Vu I am no longer afraid of the dentist anymore.I have been visiting her office since 2008. I have had extensive work done fillings,extraction, bridges replaced,bonding, and now I’ve had a broken cosmetically repaired. Dr. Vu always explains everything to me so I know just what to expect.I no longer dread going to the dentist but not anymore Dr. Vu is the BEST and always makes a visit to the dentist a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this dentist.

I have not been to the dentist in a really really long time and chose Dr. Vu because of the great reviews on yelp. I was so nervous and shaking and Dr. Vu and her staff made me feel so comfortable! As far as “gossiping”, I am glad Dr. Vu was talking to her assistant during my cleaning! Before that, I was really tense and was holding on to the arm rest for dear life lol but when she started talking to her assistant, it relaxed me in a way and I was able to just sink into the chair. I think it helped me take my focus off the sounds of the equipments. She also works around what you have to pay out of pocket which is great compared to other dentists! I’ve gone to western dental and they will tell you that you need a deep cleaning right away before doing any other procedures however, Dr. Vu goes with what you are comfortable with and works around what YOU want done first. Dr. Vu and her staff are amazing! Love this office and highly recommend her to everyone!

Dr. Vu is the best! Recently I had gone to a different dentist and told I would need almost $1600 worth or dental work (yes even with my insurance) even though they didn’t even estimate the cost for the tooth I came in complaining about. I also asked them about my wisdom teeth because I had felt them coming in but they told me I didn’t have wisdom teeth to worry about….THAT WAS MY RED FLAG! I decided that since I am a recent college student I would need to either A) save up some money B) beg my parents for the money (how embarrassing) or C) get a second opinion from a different dentist. After doing A I decided to go to Dr. VU to talk abut getting the crowns and root canal that I supposedly needed…Her office is in a little sketchier part of Long Beach but it is a very beautiful and clean place inside. It is nicer than one would expect. Well first off I do have wisdom teeth (duh) and they showed me my x-rays so I could understand everything going on. Also she filled my teeth without numbing me and it was PAINLESS!!!!! She let me know everything I needed to take care of , no judging, and very personable.Even her front staff was awesome with my insurances. Overall I only ended up paying $80 for everything, my mouth feels better, I don’t have holes n my mouth anymore and I understand alot more about my teeth! thankd Dr. Vu!

This is the Dentist that everyone all around should go to. Dr. Hong T Vu is GREATNESS! My children and I have been going for years. This is like the express dentist you can go on your lunch break and she will have your teeth checked out, and cleaned in enough time for you to get back to work. Dr. Hong and her staff is well manner and serve you with kindness and treat you like you are family, because this is the family dentist for your children and you. I actually enjoy my dental visits now. I’m very pleased with the care I’m receiving from Dr Vu Hong and staff. Dr Vu Hong is gentle and professional. She works extremely hard to keep her patients happy. The office is very clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The dental prices are extremely reasonable as well. I’ve been visiting Dr.Vu for many years and have always experienced the best dental care from Dr. Vu and her staff. Everyone in the office is very professional and knowledgeable in explaining the procedures which is truly reassuring as I’m not a big fan of going to the dentist. Sokee is the dental hygienist and she definitely knows her stuff. She is both gentle and thorough with cleaning your teeth! I’ve also found that Dr. Vu’s office has reasonable prices on dental/oral services compared to other local dentistries. I would highly recommend Dr.Vu and her team for your dental needs!

As a health care professional myself I have a unique perspective when seeking care from another provider. From the time I walked in on my first visit to the time my treatment was complete, the care and services I received from Dr Vu and her staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr Vu to anyone. Dr. Vu corrected serious denlal problems that had been plaguing both of my daughters. In addition, she gave both of them a beautiful smile thru braces and other corrective measures. She has also treated both of my sisters, one who had braces and whitening , the other had a new set off dentures. Dr. Vu is currently treating me with INVISALIGN braces and I couldn’t be happier. My daughter and I are new to Dr. Vu. My daughter had a very bad experience with our prior dentist and refuses to let the Dr. Vu remove her spacers. She was patient and understanding and tried everything to convince my daughter to let her remove the spacers. Unfortunately after about an hour we all gave up and had to reschedule. The whole staff was supportive and professional about everything. So today we were back to get my annual cleaning and try again on getting my daughter’s spacers removed. Mind you today is 12/23/14 everyone is trying to get work done before the year end. My daughter again was not cooperating and did not let Dr.vu do her job. So Dr. Vu continue on with other patients, meanwhile I was able to convince her that she had no other choice but to let the doctor to her job. Needless to say as team we got the spacers out!!! Thank you Dr. Vu and Carrier!!!

First of all I’m a big scary baby when it comes to the Dentist, and my teeth proved it! I was referred to Dr. Vu, and that was the best referral that I could have gotten! From day one she was so warm, compassionate, real, intelligent, thural, honest and full of smiles and humor. That made me comfortable, I tell you I absolutely feel no pain, and I feel safely relaxed when she’s doing her skills believe me she knows what she’s doing for about 30 years. I love Dr. Vu and I’m going to refer her every chance that I get. Dentistry doesn’t need to be some big clinic with a million specialists on hand (or else you have some serious dental issues!). You just need a few very talented experts that do their job correctly and well. Dr. Vu knows her stuff and understands what you want and need. I recently was treated by Dr. Vu for adult dental braces. I had some severe crowding in my lower teeth and a baby tooth that didn’t quite drop out. Dr. Vu outfitted me with the clear braces at a fairly reasonable cost and the procedure itself was painless. Experiencing the day to day of having braces in your 30’s and 40’s (regardless of dentist) is a huge pain in the ass. This is especially so for me, because I have a tiny mouth and I was whining about it all the time. However, Dr. Vu and staff was very patient with me complaining about them month after month and also implemented some techniques with the wiring to accelerate the straightening process. I was in and out of the braces in about 14 months, which is not bad! After being outfitted with retainers, my teeth are still straight. She has alot of techniques, never gives a procedure that’s unnecessary and is very knowledgeable. I have to say, getting braces at any age is worth the pain. I never knew my teeth can be naturally straight. It makes a huge difference to the shape of your mouth and your smile and now I am obsessed about keeping them straight. If you have to get a procedure like this or any type of dental work, I highly recommend Dr. Vu. The staff is like family and they have flexible payment models. I have heard horror stories from other friends who have gotten braces at other dentists and had to have them on for a really long time, only to have the teeth shift back right away or they are recommended procedures that are ineffective. Not here. She knows exactly what she is doing and I also love the fact that she can perform more sophisticated oral surgery in addition to the routine cleanings. Perfect dentist for kids who hate dentists. I know, because as an adult who hate dentists, I enjoy being worked on my Dr. Vu! She makes any procedure painless and does an excellent job. The staff are fun and cool people. And she is open on Saturdays!

I dragged myself to the dentist as many people do. But I felt good about this visit and I even had to get all the staff’s names so I can thank them for their great services. Carrie, the registered dentist assistant checked me in and assisted me filling out the paperwork. She did the X-rays and, together with Sokee (the dental hygienist) cleaned my teeth for me. All the staff was very efficient, gentle, helpful and professional. Jessica was patient and knowledgeable too in answering my questions regarding my insurance and coverage. Dr Vu has a good sense of humor, yet very professional. She was assertive in diagnosing my dental issues from the exam and the x-ray results. She explained my oral conditions thoroughly and patiently. She made me feel like I am in good hands. I recommend Dr. Vu and her team for the outstanding services they provide.

I have been seeing Dr. Vu since my now husband’s very enthusiastic recommendation about 6 years ago. I had had a prior horrible experience with Western Dental and wish I would’ve known about Dr. Vu sooner! She and her staff are very warm and friendly and Dr. Vu is always excited to see me. I kinda feel like part of the fam there lol I have had numerous teeth cleanings, X-rays and even a root canal with Dr. Vu. Until about 2 years ago, I paid out of pocket since I didn’t have dental insurance and her prices are very reasonable. I had been to a dentist before in a more upscale location that charged around $500 just for X-rays and a white filling. I was ticked! Dr. Vu is WAY more reasonable. One time, she even buffed out some chips and unevenness that I had in my two front teeth at no extra charge! That was so nice of her & it looked WAY better afterward. The only thing is, you usually have to book appointments a couple weeks in advance because she’s obviously got a great clientele going and she’s busy BUT I just called right now for a wisdom tooth growing in that just started really hurting me yesterday and her staff was able to squeeze me in tomorrow for a small $30 emergency fee which I will gladly pay so I don’t have to be in pain all this holiday weekend. In regards to another Yelpers complaint that she talks (“gossips” was his word) with her assistant the whole time, I admit she is chatty but never takes her eyes off what she is doing and she OBVIOUSLY knows what she is doing. After having been to her numerous times, she has never messed up or done less than excellent work. I never worry about the outcome when I’m in Dr. Vu’s hands. Bottom line: I love Dr. Vu!

Love this place. Went there 3x already. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a root canal and cleaning done there. I was a little afraid since my tooth have a hair line of fracture inside…. But Dr. Vu was very extra careful and got the root canal done with no damage. Tooth feels alot better. Painless. I would totally recommend this place if you’re are looking for a new dentist. I rarely write reviews on anything unless its a really good place or really bad place. Hong T Vu Denist is definitely the #1 place I highly recommend. I’m also getting my braces done here. =) FYI.. you also get a free traveling pouch with Toothbrush and Toothpaste kit on your way out.
