Dr. Xu is a great dentist! I like that he’s super patient. If it the numbing hasn’t really started, then he won’t operate until you no longer feel any kind of pressure or pain. Never had a dentist so attentive to detail like that. I’m similar to most that I fear the dentist office as much as I fear the DMV. The anxiety, the time spent, the lack of welcome-ness (if that’s a word lol) But now that I’ve started going to Dr. Xu (Thank you to my new insurance!) It’s not so reluctant. Ooh and if you go for teeth cleaning, they’ll sign you up for a 6 month reminder and you get a cute little swag gift. I’ll let you find out for yourself what that is! PARKING: be sure to drive slow, as it’s small so hard to locate on your first visit.

Dr. Xu is incredible. Because of genetics and bad childhood habits, my teeth are high maintenance. Dr. Xu is always professional, empathetic, and informative. His prices are so reasonable that I’ve been able to pay for two crowns out of pocket. I am grateful for his services and am happy to say that I leave this office with more confidence and peace of mind.

Dr. Xu is actually a long-time family friend of ours. He has an overall super nice character and his practice is clean, professional, and friendly. He’s also a Delta Dental PPO provider which is perfect for UCLA students because it’s covered under our student health insurance! It’s very easy to schedule an appointment and the staff is extremely responsive and caring. And in case you were worried like I am, there’s free parking 🙂

With HMO dental insurance, you find yourself weeding through listings, wondering if the right dentist exists in your network. With the recommendation of 2 of my coworkers, I booked a cleaning appointment with David and was seen the very next week. He and his staff are polite and do not push any services or treatments with you. I had a standard cleaning and look forward to coming back for regularly scheduled cleanings from now on.

I was a little skeptical, as I am with most doctors/dentists. But I was so so pleasantly surprised. I went in for a regular cleaning and I couldn’t stop raving about it afterwards. It just felt so…fresh and so clean. Didn’t hurt at all- enjoyed every minute of it! He was amazing, I will def be coming back every 6 months.

I’m a big chicken when it come to going to the dentist.  Dr. Xu is always patient with me.  I recently had a root canal.  I had little to no pain at all.  Thanks Dr. Xu for taking care of me and for being kind and understanding.

I called Dr. Xu on a Sunday morning after I had suffered two broken teeth the night before. Even over the phone he sounded very concerned and he saw me that same afternoon. After taking a look, he proceeded to explain all the procedures he would have to do, what the timeline would be, and what my insurance what and would not cover. He also did a great job at scaling my pain level and ensuring that I felt comfortable. I have NEVER had a dentist who took his time to explain exactly what he was gonna do and who made me feel comfortable while doing it. Dr. Xu’s office is tucked between two hotels; I’ve driven by a hundred times and never seen it but I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. Plus, prices are by far the cheapest you will get on the westside. Definitely low income friendly.

I have been seeing Dr. Xu for about 2 years. The experience has always been great. He always checks with me if it hurts during the procedure. I recently did the wisdom teeth extraction. It hurt but still overall a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Xu!

Dr. Xu is excellent. He is one of the best dentists I’ve been to. Very honest about needing any further things taken care of such as implants, fillings, etc if not needed. Makes cleaning painless and quick. Would highly recommend

I highly recommend this dentist! Last week, my front tooth chipped pretty badly and I needed to find a new dentist right away. In my rush to get it repaired, I took a chance and picked Dr. Xu from my dental insurance website. An hour later, I was in his dental chair. When he was done, you couldn’t even tell the tooth had been chipped! Based on my good experience with the chipped tooth, I felt comfortable making another appointment to have him fix a cavity I had been putting off for several months (it was one of my front teeth and I wasn’t sure who I could trust to work on it). He took an x-ray, fixed the cavity and the tooth looks and feels great now! The cost was low compared to other dental offices (note: I have a cheap dental insurance plan and they covered most of it). When I say that this dentist is good, I mean, he’s REALLY good! I should know, I’ve been to many dentists and have had major dental procedures with other dentists (root canals, implants, tooth extractions, etc). I totally trust Dr. Xu with my teeth. A couple other things that I appreciate about this dentist, he has a nice demeanor and a good bedside manner and he didn’t make me feel judged about the condition of my teeth. His staff is polite and the office itself is nice with easy parking. I would recommend this dentist to anyone, he’s VERY good!

I am so happy that I found Dr. Xu. He is a very good dentist with excellent bedside manners; which is very important to me. Dr. Xu makes you feel at ease and does great work. Very sincere, caring, perfectionistic and highly dedicated to your level of comfort throughout the visit. I experienced a dental emergency with an old crown over the Christmas holiday and Dr. Xu came in to assist me on his day off. Now that is compassion & Love. Let’s start by saying i HATE going to the dentist. After leaving Dr. Xu’s office, I am excited for my follow up and future appointments for the first time…..EVER! I needed a deep cleaning ive been avoiding for years. Through the entire hour long procedure he had so much patience and asked every few minutes if i felt any pain or needed any more anesthetic in case it wore off. Thank you to Dr. Xu and his amazing, friendly and professional staff!

So glad I went to Dr. Xu! His office is clean and cozy, and the staff is very welcoming and professional. Throughout the entire procedure Dr. Xu made sure I was comfortable and that I felt no pain. He made me feel very at ease and finished his work in a timely manner. His assistant was also great and made sure I didn’t choke on my spit or swallow any nasty stuff. I would recommend him and I would go back for another visit.
