We have 4 keiki ages 6, 12, 15, and 18 that have been going to Honolulu Keiki Dental since age 1. Dr. Sueda and his staff make it easy. Doc addresses our concerns, is thorough, and is straightforward with the keiki. They never leave without their dental goody bags and Dr. Sueda’s signature jumping high-fives (and bonus “life” talks). Dr. Stacie is on her way to becoming a great dentist. She’s informative and maybe a little stricter than her father. Dr. Stephen is extremely personable and chill. They also do outreach, providing dental care to underprivileged countries. They not only malama our ohana in Hawaii but other countries as well. That shows their character. The front and back staff are also supportive. Phones are always answered, they’re accommodating with schedules, and thankful for Lina who takes care of billing questions and financial options. The assistants are friendly and comforting. Their waiting room is inviting with a great view, cartoon character art, tv flat screen, toys, and free wi-fi. The office looks especially festive during the holidays. Christmas decorations go up and Rachelle is usually found decorating during Christmas time. We refer everyone with keiki there.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sueda’s for over 20 years. I started going to Dr. Sueda’s when I was in elementary school. I’m still a patient with Honolulu Keiki Dental even though I’m in my 30s and have no plans on changing dentists. Since I can remember, Dr. Sueda and the wonderful staff at Honolulu Keiki Dental always treated me like family. It is because of him and his staff, I have healthy cavity free teeth. Growing up, I remember I would get nervous when it was my turn to sit in the exam chair. Dr. Sueda would always greet me with a smile and ask how I was doing. It was the same with all the other kids I saw come before and after me. Dr. Sueda was genuinely concerned in knowing how each of us were doing and would crack jokes or talk story. When it came time to have my teeth cleaned or examined, Dr. Sueda would take the time to calmly explain what the cleaning or exam would involve. Over the years, I have had braces, retainers, 6-month cleanings, etc. Again, I owe my healthy cavity free teeth to Dr. Sueda and the awesome staff at Honolulu Keiki Dental. In recent years, I have been under the care of Dr. Sueda’s daughter, Dr. Stacie. Dr. Stacie is just like Dr. Sueda. Genuinely friendly, caring and thorough in providing great dental care. Mahalo!

Dr. Sueda and his staff are amazing! I would 100% recommend this place for anyone in need of a first time dentist for their kids! I’ve been coming here for over 18 years. They do a wonderful job with everything dental related. To check ups, cleaning, braces, invisalign, wisdom teeth, and more!

Dr. Sueda is a skillful doctor and a wonderful person! He has welcomed me into the office to volunteer and gain hands-on experience. Which I am truly grateful for because it has helped me discover my interest towards dentistry. I genuinely admire the office environment because all the staff has such a strong work ethic. On top of that, they are all so sweet and kind. They made me feel like I was apart of the family. With the comfortable and the fast pace environment, I was able to obtain so much information. Not only did I learned from Dr. Sueda, but I also learned from Dr. Stacie, Dr. Stephen, and the amazing staff. Dr. Sueda has been my doctor for several years now and when I say he’s skillful I truly mean it because his work speaks for itself. I can confirm this with the beautiful smile that I currently have. That being said I am glad that I’ve become a patient at Honolulu Keiki Dental.

Love this office! Been going here since I was little. Great dentists and staff. Very thorough. The dentist, not the assistants or a front office staff, the dentist, sit down with you and explain everything. The office is at Ala Moana shopping center so super convenient. You get the personalized care that every kid needs. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. Sueda ever since I was in intermediate school and me and my parents agree that this is the best and absolutlely most friendly dental practice in Oahu! Not only does he  do cleanings efficiently and fast but also the procedures on cavities (with no problems at all)! Although somedays can be busy and backed up, I can say their service is totally worth the wait! Now my little sister (4 yrs) goes here and she loves it! Me and my mom like how they take extra safety precautions (and explain them/ask for permission). They also did my invisalign for a reasonable price and I’ve been satisfied with the results so far! I’ve met Dr. Chun, Dr. Stacie, and Dr. Stephan a few times and they are wonderful additions as well!

Apparently, quiet a few people on this site do not know how to write reviews. They are giving a good man flak for his apparently “rude receptionist”, even while they themselves admit the dentist is one of the most caring people on the face of the Earth. I have been one of his patients since I was about 5 years old. People need to recognize that if they truly care about their child’s dental health as well as emotional development, you can do no better than Dr. Sueda. The receptionist’s attitude is grossly exaggerated. This is a man who takes time out of his busy schedule to talk to the parents and patients about their lives, as well as recap the appointment’s events. The rest of the staff is spectacular as well. Please. Ignore the 1 star reviews. Choose Dean Sueda and enjoy the best dentist in the state.

Dr. Sueda has been my children’s dentist for almost 10 years now.  Since day one I knew my kids were in good hands.  He and the staff are above stellar!  Thoroughly reliable, fast, and efficient.  All three kids are in and out in just under an hour.  The staff are incredible about scheduling appointments and calling ahead of time to reschedule; also very flexible if I need to reschedule.  But the heart of the operation is Dr. Dean Sueda.  He has been like a trusted Uncle to my children giving them practical and profound life advice without being too serious.  As a single mother, I more than appreciate all the outside help I can get because it seems to make an impact when they hear it from other people vs. Mom.  I highly recommend Honolulu Keiki Dental for their expertise, professionalism, and Ohana style atmosphere and dental practice.
