The knowledge from his staff was very professional and they are very courteous from the moment I entered the clinic. I was greeted with a smile by everyone that made me feel extremely comfortable during my dental experience. I was further Impressed because you will never wait for a dental appointment. Dr. Eckford express the importance of a good patient-doctor relationship that stood out during my dental treatment. I am proud to know Dr. Eckford for his record of service and accomplishment in treating individuals and his commitment to volunteer in our community. Dr. Eckford has expanded his influence on dental awareness and dental disease prevention in the community over the years. He has set the standard of excellence in his field. His work has helped to keep our family strong to reduce dental diseases and promote proper dental care. For a dental office, you will not find someone more capable in the job than Dr. Eckford. Initially I was very nervous about going to the dentist, but the staff made me feel very much at ease. They are so courteous and friendly, they explain everything that they’re about to do and answer all questions you may have. Dr. Eckford Jr. is very efficient and professional. He did a great job in explaining the procedures and carry them out. The level of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism is outstanding. Great, caring, prompt and professional service is at-hand in this office. Dr. Eckford Jr. is an awesome dentist and so is his dental assistants and staff. When you go to a dentist and have little or no pain you know he’s good.

I would like to thank you ZocDoc for your website! I really enjoyed my visit today with Dr. Joe Eckford. I have had such bad service in the past and I was so afraid to go back to the dentist until today. The wait time was excellent. It took a total of 60 minutes from the time I walked in, until the time I walked out. This included the x-rays and the cleaning. The staff was so wonderful, the treatment was very gentle, the office was very clean, and they made me feel important. They took the time to explain my treatment plan to me and to discuss my payment options. Overall, I was so amazed about my visit; I can not wait to go back.

Dr. Joe Eckford, Jr. is proud to serve the dental needs of Greater Houston. Going to the dentist can be a difficult experience, but Dr. Eckford works with his staff to ease patients’ fears and help them take charge of their oral health. Dr. Eckford uses cutting-edge technology to relieve his patients’ pain, restore their smiles, and boost their self-esteem. Originally from Prentiss, Mississippi, Dr. Eckford always sustained an interest in medicine. After eight years of developing cellular communications networks for companies like AT&T and Sprint, Dr. Eckford wanted a change. He was inspired to pursue dentistry after shadowing his father-in-law and other dentists, and getting to see the impact they made on patients’ lives. Since then, Dr. Eckford has remained uniquely passionate about his field. After attending the University of Iowa College of Dentistry for his degree in dental surgery, Dr. Eckford completed his residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His dedication has earned him accolades from both peers and patients, including recognition as one of America’s Top Dentists in 2011 and 2012 and in Madison Who's Who for 2012 . He stays involved in the dental community through numerous professional national and local associations, including the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Eckford likes to pursue his hobbies, which range from sports to spending time with his family and friends. He is also a proud member and community volunteer with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
