I struggled to find a good dentist after moving to SF from Chicago, and am thrilled to say that my search is over. Incredibly friendly front desk staff who always greet me with a smile and competently handle all things billing/scheduling related. The hygienists always do a great job, leaving my pearly whites at their whitest. Dr. Bang has always steered me toward the most conservative treatment that will address my long term teeth and gum health, and I’ve come to trust her opinion without having to question if I’m just being pushed to spend money unnecessarily. One time, had an awful infection in my gums, that required a tooth extraction, and she came in during non-standard business hours because she wanted to make sure I was well cared for. You will have my business for as long as I’m in the Bay Area. Thank you for your excellent and compassionate care!

Dr. Bang is very well qualified: she is a member of all of the main professional dental groups, has excellent recommendations and credentials, and is qualified to do the pinhole technique to restore receding gums. I look forward to using her services.

I have always been a big procrastinator when it comes to healthcare. Unlike restaurants or cafes, the idea of deciding which doctor to go to is really daunting; it is really important to pick a practitioner that is perfect for me. I am grateful to my friend who recommended Dr. Bang’s office. So I want to take the time to give back and recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a new dentist. From the onset, it was a very smooth and easy – be it the process to book an appointment to arriving at the office and getting registered. The registration process is entirely paperless and after filling out a quick digital form, I was ready to go. I also appreciated that I barely had to wait before the staff was ready to see me for my checkup and cleaning. I could talk about how friendly the staff was or how impeccably maintained the office is (right from the beautiful website to the latest in dental equipment). However, what stood out the most for me was the amount of care the doctor and staff took in bringing me up to speed with best practices around dental care. Dr. Bang emphasized the importance of prevention vs. cure. I learned (I’m guilty as well) of how people tend to visit dentists when they have a cavity or tooth ache, but the key to long term health is to take measures to prevent the onset of issues in the first place. I am glad to have found a practice and a doctor whom I feel comfortable with and look forward to coming up for my next appointment (looking forward to visit my dentist, never thought I’d have said that).

Hello everyone, I had an extraction done 12/12/18 by Dr. Bang and I tell you with such great joy that she not only did a great job but made me feel so comfortable that I could not stop crying from happiness. Today was my first appointment with Dr. Bang (and my first dentist appointment in a while — eek!). I usually hate going to the dentist (obviously), but I can honestly say that visiting Dr. Bang’s practice was a pleasure. She is an expert on all things dentistry/periodontics, and walked me through the entire cleaning while pointing out any concerns/areas for improvement in layman’s terms. Dr. Bang went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable throughout and well-informed by the end of the appointment. If you are looking for compassionate dental/periodontal care, I highly recommend Dr. Bang!

First and foremost, I wanted to take some time to leave a thoughtful review. I rarely leave any form of review online due to the lack of laziness. But hands down, this has been the most informative and welcoming experience I had in a while at a dental office. Not only Dr. Hyun has a breadth of knowledge in her space but has demonstrated a unique and high quality of the work that goes in this profession. The service I received was an annual checkup and came out extremely satisfied.

Previously, I was using a standard issue mouth guard since I grind my teeth at night. I was having jaw pain and headaches. Dr. Bang suggested a device called a MAGO. I’ll be honest I was a little hesitant at first because I didn’t want to purchase yet another device. She explained the benefits of the MAGO and I was still hesitant, but I acquiesced and went for it. Wow! The best thing ever! My jaw doesn’t hurt. MY headaches are gone. I’m even breathing better at night and it’s preventing my teeth from grinding together. Dr. Bang really listens to her patients and find the best way to treat their problems.

I have been going to Dr. Bang’s office for 8 months now. I am happy I discovered this place thanks to a recommendation from a co-worker. The office has some of the top high-tech equipment which includes a 3D scanner that can create a virtual three dimensional image of one’s mouth. My experience getting re-fitted for Invisalign was so different from my orthodontist (when I lived in San Diego). Back then, I had to bite into gel molds which would capture my bite marks and then those would be shipped to Invisalign to have them design the trays. On a different note, I can sense that the entire team is a family and really likes to work together – which creates a family sort of welcoming atmosphere. In fact the entire décor of the place seems homely, right from the waiting area to the banter with the receptionists and staff. I really like that and am always comfortable visiting the office. I am not a frequent Yelp user, but after my last visit, I only think it’s fair to share my sentiments with the broader San Francisco community. There are a lot of big dental offices in the city, but if you want a dentist who offers the close attention and case of a family owned practice, but also uses state of the art equipment and practices the highest standard in health care – this is the place to go. 🙂

Dr. Bang really is the best dentist that I ever had – and I’ve had some great ones, including my dentist of nearly 30 years whose practice Dr. Bang took over. She is meticulous, sensitive about the patient’s discomfort and she is excellent at thoroughly explaining her diagnoses and procedures. She is a thoughtful, warm human being who inspires loyalty; and so it is no surprise that she also has the best staff ever, especially her superpro hygienist, Stephanie.

Best dentist experience I’ve had. The office is quiet and modern. The dental rooms have smart TVs and I was given a choice of any show across Netflix, HBO, etc to watch during my X-Rays and cleanings. The hygienist was calm, friendly, and careful in my cleaning, and Dr. Bang was extremely thorough in my check up. She checked elements that other dentists have never checked with me in the past. Her treatment plan is conservative and natural, avoiding unnecessary intensive procedures through preventive measures. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Bang is gentle, informative, and efficient with her work so you always leave her office in a timely manner and feeling great about your procedure. She makes every effort to ensure you’re comfortable physically while in the chair and mentally by always communicating honestly and clearly about what she’s doing and why she’s doing it. No one likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Bang makes it as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Bang and her staff are very friendly and professional.  They truly care about me as a patient, and my dental care and well-being.  Dr. Bang is very meticulous and thorough, a perfectionist, and that is super important to me as I am the same way in my profession.  I’ve been having some major dental work done recently and each visit has been so pleasant.  I’ve yet to experience any pain afterwards and that’s always an excellent sign!  And my custom night guard has helped me by leaps and bounds, minimizing my headaches and migraines which I have experienced for many years.

I was referred to Dr Bang initially for Tmj problem and she provided a clear treatment plan and is very knowledgeable about the topic. She also found I needed some dental work done, this made me super nervous as I hate getting any work done on my teeth with all of the jaw pain I experience. She advised me that being put under general anesthesia just isn’t worth it and I am glad I took her advice she removed two wisdoms teeth and I didn’t feel a thing. She is very caring for her patients and even checked up on me the same night. I was experiencing some discomfort from the pressure on my jaw and she squeezed me in the next morning. I’m relieved that I found her as a provider as my experience showed that a good provider is hard to find. I highly recommend her. She is awesome!

Best dentist! I went to Dr. Bang’s office for a cleaning and check up – everyone at the office was super punctual and profession, but still very friendly. I ended up needing a minor gum surgery and cavity filled, Dr. Bang did a very good job with the surgery and even followed to make sure I was recovering well! Really great dentist office, I highly recommend!

I wrote a review after my first two visits following a bunch of restorative work. I’ve been coming to Dr. Bang for over a year now. Today was a cleaning and a check-up. I met some new staff and thought its time to update my review. Prior to Dr. Bang, I was a nervous, uncomfortable patient who avoided dentists and dreaded the occasional visits (you can read about this in my previous review). Now, I’m in maintenance mode with a clean, healthy mouth and it’s fantastic. Dr. Bang and her staff are all awesome. They’re friendly, they’re professional, and I can tell they put a very high standard on their work. I recently learned that my dental insurance will cover quarterly cleanings — and I, the guy who hated going to dentist, have actually requested more frequent appointments. Coming here is pleasant, easy enough, and its very reassuring to know my oral health will continue to be tip-top and not fall back to where it was. Keep up the good work!
