I selected Dr. Bouhairi after a through review of many dentists At first I selected him for myself only but now he is my family dentist.
If he is not the most gentle physician I have ever met he is surely one of the most gentle and caring dentists. He is always concerned with how comfortable you are with what ever he is doing even amongst his fine tooth drilling. If pain is unavoidable he will tell you what you should expect and how to mitigate it. I thought root canal is the most painful operation, but with his handling and explaining I was able to handle the post operative pain in the best possible manner.
During the root canal he has taken every step to make sure he had done it right and complete. He used visual inspection, probing, an electrical resistivity indicator, and the most definite method an X-ray image with a reference stick inside the tooth. That is when he assured me it was done and complete.
His staff are pleasant and polite, especially his secretary Mona who handles the insurance business. Due to her careful handling I was able to change my plan so that I can benefit from the insurance in the shortest possible time.
I will highly recommends him for any one who puts off a needed procedure because he or she is concerned with the pains of it or any persons who cares for professional and gentle treatment.

The whole experience started with when you walk into the door and Mona greets you with her wonderful smile :)One of the best secretaries I have every met/dealt with. Dr. Karim is a very sweet, honest, and capable dentist. He has excellent bedside manner and treated my whole family for two years while living in California. He was great with my 2 and 4 year old, made them feel very comfortable. He treated me for an abscess and helped me get out of pain. He also noted that I am a teeth grinder and fitted me for a mouth guard, which relieved me from the daily headaches I was suffering from. He is also very reasonable priced. I’m sad we moved out of state and had to switch dentists. He is missed!

I have been to many dentists and many have scared me to the point that I never wanted to return. They usually don’t listen and keep you waiting for hours. With Dr. Bouhairi, I felt that most of my time was dedicated to me and he wasn’t rushing my visit to fit in as many as possible. He was kind and I really liked that he listened to me intently. He is the best dentist ever!!!
I hate the dentist and avoided it for 17 years… I broke a tooth and had to go. I went to 3 different dentists that were all recognized and popular. But none of them made me feel comfortable or really took the time. And they all said i must have a root canal.
Now lets come to my experience here:
– he saved my tooth without a root canal
-The most calm and gentle dentist ever!
-explained everything step by step and made sure i understood
-made me so comfortable that i got over my dentist issues and have since seen him 4 times
– I’ve recommended 3 people to him and they all had similar feed back.

I am very pleased with the perfect service provided by Dr. Bouhairi. I loved the whole service. First the secretary was very nice and helpful since I was a new patient. They made me feel very welcomed at the office. Then the doctor took X rays and was very gentle in his work. I needed a crown so I had to come back after 2 weeks and again I loved the service. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. Their was no wait time and the doctor knows exactly what to do. Also the office is very clean which is also a plus.

Dr. Bouhairi and his staff won me over in less than 15 minutes and I now have a completely new outlook about going to the dentist, as long as that dentist is Dr. Bouhairi!!! I was on my way to the endodontist office, as a walk in patient, located two offices down from Dr. Bouhairi’s because I broke a tooth and now need a root canal. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the office before they stepped out for lunch for the next hour. I’ve been in excruciating pain for the past 2 days and nights, so much so that I even considered going to the emergency room in the middle of the night. Luckily for me Dr B’s office was open. I explained my situation and asked if they had time to fit me into their schedule for a novocaine injection to give me the pain relief I so desperately needed. Not only were they kind and helpful, they had me sitting in a chair talking to the doctor within 10 minutes of walking in the door. To top it off, knowing that I’m having a costly procedure done at 1pm, root canal and crown, he didn’t even charge me. I am absolutely shocked that I can say I just had a fabulous experience at the dentist and I actually look forward to going back for a cleaning after I have my root canal and crown fitted. If I could give the doctor and his staff more than 5 stars, I would, in a heartbeat!!! Thanks I Smile Dentistry Irvine!!!

In a nut shell, this office is awesome. I’ve never felt more welcome at any dentist office. Dr. Karim and Mona are friendly and professional .I used to hate going to the dentist and they’ve changed my perception. I always feel taken care of upon leaving. Dr Bouhairi is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I moved to Long Beach which is a 45 min drive with no traffic and I still drive down to Irvine because I like him so much. The cleaning is quick and painless (well, as painless as it could be). When I first went to him, I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2 years and had 7 cavities. He was very patient and showed me on the x-ray exactly where they were and how bad. To save me some cash he offered to do the minor ones without novacane. At first I thought, “no way”, this isn’t the Middle Ages! He assured me it wouldn’t hurt and he would go slow and switch to novacane if it did. I got 5 filled this way very quickly and the last two were a breeze. Long story short, this guy is honest, good at his job, and makes what is usually a terrifying ordeal very easy and painless.
