I went here to get a second opinion after going to another dentist who recommended an extraction of my molar, a replacement crown, and a few other things. I’m so glad I did. Everyone from the front desk to the dental hygienist to the dentist was very friendly and helpful. The dentist gave me recommendations that she would give herself. I should keep my molar, and replacing my crown may have to happen in a few years, but it’s not a problem now and would just be a waste of money. Thank you for not wasting my money. They are also going to do my Invisalign.

I had the most outstanding experience in Icon Dental. I chosen Dr. Maya and her team and it was the best decision. Here is why: 1.Once you are in the office, you get greeted by a cheerful receptionist who actually knows your name and appointment time. 2. Dr. Maya arrived on time, prepared, no unnecessary questions asked (she already read my history I sent to her office via email). She is very professional and would not rush, take her time to solve and find the best solution. I was very nervous, because my front tooth was broken and I was ashamed to smile half of my life. 3. Dr. Maya and her team put me at ease by showing me all my options, and she even put quick temporarily adjustment on my tooth to show me how it will look like after. 4. There were no pressure, but you would feel trusting her judgement immediately. 5. Yes, I made my research on quality of her work. BUT, the visit itself exceeded my high expectations. She fixed my tooth, and we decided to do the bonding procedure (veneer is always an option, but is more expensive and invasive option). She did an amazing job matching new color with the adjacent tooth, you cannot tell the difference. She also strengthened my tooth line on top and bottom. I highly recommend Icon Dental and Dr. Maya specifically. Do not hesitate and make an appointment, you will be happy with the results.

My wife had initially told me to go to Icon when we were living in Oakland, and I thought, No, its too far. (She was working in SF so used them for her dental and went during work). I went to another dentist, close to my house, and went home with a $4500 dental plan + they wanted me to get a $675 dental guard for grinding my teeth. I was shocked! I never had any dental problems, have always brushed, flossed and used mouthwash. I didn’t have headaches or jaw pain, and had never been told by any other dentist that I had issues with teeth-grinding. Flustered, I FINALLY listened to my wife and made an appointment with Dr. Maya for a second opinion – even though it is quite far from my house. I went in – the staff was amazing. They were friendly, they cared about my concerns. The doctor charged me the minimum fee for the visit. My original dentist had sent over the x-rays but they were very small films and we could not enlarge them. Dr. Maya took x-rays of ONLY the teeth that were part of the dental plan and enlarged them to show me – no decay, no cavities – NO WORK NECESSARY. Dr. Maya saved me more than $5000 on unnecessary dental work, and I am incredibly grateful. Even though I now live in Vallejo, I will be returning in six months to Dr. Maya for my cleaning! My oral surgeon referred me to Dr. Maya for the denture to go on my full implants. The first thing I told her was how much I looked forward to ‘enjoying’ toast for breakfast after 20 years with no teeth! Let me say it was superb!!! Dr. Eydelman is truly an artist and a delightful individual! Despite the fact that I brush AND floss daily, I have soft enamel in my genetics which means many cavities. Dr. Eydelman is the first dentist to say to me “I can see that you take good care of your teeth, but you have weak enamel. It’s not your fault”. All my previous dentists have said time and again to not drink soda (which i don’t) and floss more (which I already do ad nauseam). It was extremely refreshing to hear these kind (and true) words!!! Furthermore, she walked me through the entire procedure (I had three fillings in one sitting) and was so thorough and gentle, it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had getting extensive work done on my chompers. For once in my life I am actually not dreading going back to the dentist. All of the rest of the staff was kind and welcoming as well. I would recommend Dr. Eydelman to anyone and everyone–she takes pride in her work, and she should. 5 gold stars to Dr. Eydelman!!

This is the best dental office I’ve ever been to, no joke. Previously I’ve gotten some not-so-smart recommendations for my teeth, and it typically feels like I’m at a car dealership rather than a dental office. Dr. Maya at Icon Dental has been so refreshing to work with on my ortho plan. I also get my regular cleanings here. Those always go great as well. I’m writing in an update for Icon Dental, because I am constantly amazed by their outstanding customer care and the value they deliver to me. I chipped my front tooth yesterday; it was a big chip, about 1/4 of the tooth was gone. Not only did it look bad, but I also was scheduled to be on live video in front of thousands 1 day later. I walked down to Icon Dental, hoping I could get an appointment with this short notice. Marissa Hutchens (the best customer care consultant ever) said, why don’t we just get this taken care of right now? Wow. Five minutes later I was getting bonding done to that tooth and feeling grateful for such immediate service. At some point during the experience they brought in Dr. Maya and she shaped this fix so well that it was perfect. In addition, she did some small changes to my other teeth and my entire smile looks brighter and better than ever. I can’t wait to give my video performance later today as I feel more confident than ever. It just looks great! Thank you Icon Dental, Marissa and Dr. Maya. My visits to this dentist are usually good because the staff always welcomes me warmly, greets me with a big cheese smile, is solicitous about my well being and to a person, each makes me feel very comfortable during the ‘always’ short wait. This visit wasn’t just good, it was exceptionally good because I walked in with a high degree of apprehension about the procedure to be performed. Immediately after being ushered into the examining room, the Dentist appeared by my side, addressed me in a calming tone and explained he and the Managing Dentist discussed my case and decided upon an alternative, less invasive and less expensive approach to perform the procedure. Immediately my apprehension and built up stress, Gone! The reason for the change was explained so very well that as the recliner was being lowered into position, I began to look forward to the procedure. The procedure was fairly complicated, yet painless, including the hardly felt pin prick to administer the anethesia. The procedure was shorter than expected and throughout, the Dentist and the Dental Assistant continually check on me and inquried if I was comfortable or needed a break. Suddenly and to my surprise, the recliner was being raised, I stood up, gathered my belongings, felt no discomfort and saw no distortion in my face when I smiled from the aethesia :). Then to the front desk to check out and, without exaggeration, I received an even bigger reason this visit was exceptional, yep, you guessed it, what I owed. Overall, a very pleasant visit.

Everyone at the office is friendly, professional, honest, and punctual. I absolutely love this place! My teeth feel incredibly clean after each cleaning. They never try the hard up-sell nor have they ever claimed that a crown needlessly needs to be replaced when nothing is wrong with the crown (the crown replacement scam is a common problem with dental offices). Despite the fact that they were short staffed today I still got stellar service. A couple of hiccups here and there (door was accidentally locked and my dentist had to wander off for a bit), however, even with that I love this place. Everyone is genuinely nice, people seem to like working there, and Dr. Maya is my favorite no frills, no bullshit dentist. She tells it like it is and wants to make sure she does things right for you, she tells you things as she does them and makes sure to discuss options with you. The crew at Icon Dental is so well put together. From the front desk to the doctors, you really get treated with the most care. I had lost my insurance because of a job transition but as soon as it was renewed I only went back to Icon, even after moving out of the area. Trevor has been my hygienist the last couple of visits and he is AMAZING. I have had so much anxiety about going to the dentist and he was so understanding, checking in with me every step of the way. But his touch was so delicate that I never felt a thing. By the next appointment I was able to relax knowing that he was going to be gentle and take his time. I’m so appreciative of all the staff. I’m getting married this weekend and though I was very last minute with my appointments, I was able to get all the work I wanted done with two visits, one week apart. Even Trevor came in on his day off to see me so I could be happy with my smile in time for the wedding. After all, those pictures last forever! Really great experience. Front desk staff is super professional and they make scheduling a breeze. The dentists have all been excellent. Teeth cleans are gentle yet very thorough. They are very customer-focused, which is evidenced by the little details. Just two examples: (1) They have a goodie jar full of chapsticks in the reception area. My biggest annoyance is when my lips are dry / chapped, and I need to keep my mouth open during a cleaning and my lips crack or bleed. Chapstick to the rescue! (2) They provide shades for you to wear during the cleaning so that they don’t blind you when they shine the light on your face / mouth area They’re also very consistent. I’ve had three teeth cleans now over the span of 1.5 years, and each experience has been great. I feel like this is usually not the case – you start with a new dentist, all seems well, and then by the 2nd or 3rd visit you’re looking for a new dentist. Not the case here! It also appears to be a women-run business, which makes me very happy to see.

Hi, my name is Lisa, I just wanted to relate my experience with Dr. Maya Eydelman and Dr. Alex Rabinovich. I knew that I had a very serious case of hereditary dental disease that was going to result in the loss of my teeth. I knew it was a potentially life threatening condition if I did not do something about it.. I did a lot of research and picked these two wonderful doctors to help me with my problem. Dr. Alex is the doctor that did the extractions, the repair of my gums, and the installation of the implants that my new teeth would be attached to. He is a very compassionate man and did a wonderful job. I was really scared about what I was about to go through. I spent 8 hours going through this procedure. He did a great job and my recovery from it went perfectly. Dr. Maya is the one who built my new teeth, I had a zirconium bridge for my top teeth and a hybrid bridge for my bottom teeth. I can truly say that Dr. Maya is a true artist at what she does, and one of the nicest persons I have ever met. She will not accept anything but perfection. My new teeth are wonderful! They work just as good as my old teeth did before they began to go bad. And they look so much better! I really believe that I was lucky and found the two best Dr.’s to help me with my problem. These two are the best, do not hesitate to go to them for your dental problems

My first work by Dr. Maya Eydelman was in 2007 when she was still at Metro Dental. I was very pleased with her work then, so much in fact that I followed her when she moved her practice and now I’m very happy she has such a great new place to serve the community at the very posh ICON DENTAL office. Why was I so adamant about keeping her as my dentist? Because of all the Dentists I have had in my 48 years she is the first to be practically PAIN FREE and totally honest and accurate in her assessment of my dental health. My last visit she gave me an assessment that contrasted interestingly with one I received at Metro Dental earlier in the week for the same problem which resulted in my not having to have a root canal and thus saving a lot of money not to mention pain.. Maya is no illusion. She’s a dentist you can trust and who really cares. I would recommend her to anyone. Plus her assistants are fantastic and courteous as well! Easy to get to just 3 blocks from Montgomery BART station!

Took a long hiatus from writing, but am back just to review Dr. Maya. She is truly an Artist and a professional. A year ago she did bonding on my 2 lateral incisors and reshaped a few top teeth to give me the Hollywood glam look. That was a wonderful experience, but a year later, after feeling out my new look, I decided I wanted to make some slight adjustments. I went back somewhat hesitantly, but Dr. Maya wasn’t annoyed in the least. Instead she really took her time to have a conversation, listen to my concerns and give me honest feedback. We even tried out the proposed adjustments using markers, selfies etc. Another great experience! Dr. Maya is professional female Goals AND she’s hilarious to boot. I am as picky as they come, and I am pretty much never happy with anyone or anything. I am a difficult one to please in every possible way- so I’ve been told all my life. Dr. Maya is everything you could possibly want in a dentist. She’s extremely professional, cut throat, and a stickler for everything being 150% perfect. We make a great match because of her traits. I’ve been treated for Invisiline, bondings, cavities, dental cleanings, a crown and zoom whitening in her office. I am extremely happy with everything she has done. I wanted a Hollywood smile and she definitely delivered. She was easy to work with and was very patient with me. She has always made me feel comfortable- she will walk me though everything to expect and talk to me through each step as she does her work. My favorite phrase from her is: you are in control and you let me know if anything ever feels uncomfortable. It’s tough to find someone like that and it’s even tougher to find someone to trust. The office is always clean and everything is very up to date. The newest of everything. The only downside is booking availability because of how desirable and in demand she is. As for billing, Marissa is very straight forward and knows exactly what she’s talking about. There is no guessing games with insurance when it comes to her.
