I have always hated going to the dentist, but Dr. Mithani and his team make the experience as pleasant and painless as they can. Dr. Mithani is very kind and personable. He never makes you feel rushed, and he always checks in to make sure you’re okay and not in any pain (a huge plus because previous visits at other dental offices left me with bleeding gums and extreme discomfort!). On top of that, everyone working in his office is extremely nice, professional, and courteous. They are very accommodating and flexible with scheduling, and everyone is an absolute joy to interact with. My boyfriend also started seeing Dr. Mithani after hearing me sing his praises, and we both agree that Dr. Mithani and his team are great!

This is the best dentist in NYC and the best dentist I ever had. Dr. Mithani is very pleasant and extremely patient and while cleaning he is very thorough and frequently checked to make sure I was doing okay. His staff are always a pleasure and are nice and welcoming. No wait time, I never have to wait.

Second time coming here. I was very happy both times. Everyone is really friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The dentist as well as assistants are very honest…. I was asking about the professional teeth whitening (I think it was $300 but I’m not sure), and in no way did they push me to do it. In fact, they were both telling me most patients aren’t able to do all four “rounds” (15 minutes each, so you’re there for one hour total if you get through all four). They gave me professional whitening strips, which basically have a higher percentage of the active ingredient than the over the counter ones. Not sure if they gave them to me for free or if my dental insurance covers it but I think they were just nice and gave them to me. I also wasn’t pressured to make the next appointment. I originally chose this place because it’s walking distance from my apartment but I’m really glad I found it.

Found this office on Zocdoc, so scheduling is super easy. Dr. Mithani has a great bedside manner and attends to you himself. He will never suggest doing extra stuff just because. He listens to your concerns. Everyone in the office is nice and pleasant. The offices are clean and well-appointed. They are also respectful of your time. I’ve recommended Dr. Mithani to friends, and now I recommend him to you, internet colleague.

Dr Ali Mithani is an incredible dentist. I think I am really freaked out visiting a dentist. The dentist and his team made me feel really comfortable and relaxed. I have been there for 2 appointments already and I am going back again. My whole family (my husband and brother) we go here and like the service. Was looking for a dentist close to my job, and all of a sudden you know goggle Dr. MITHANI’S office popped up in my inbox.. I went to the website looked it over and was very pleased with what I’ve seen. Made an online appointment, got an email confirmation and next morning got an email to confirm dates to pick. Information needed so when checking in on date picked would be smooth and easy. Arrived to appointment on time, Kristina at the front desk was very professional and cheerful, knowledgeable & helpful. Sign in was a snap, next up the dental assistant Theresa. What a lovely spirited lady, she took all my xrays and it was such a pleasant experience. Then Dr. MITHANI came in, asked for a full mouth xray. Came back afterwards did the exam, pulled back and asked me what I wanted to do? I told him, and he went into detail what was going on in my situation. He was very professional, pleasant and extremely soft spoken. Very detailed orientated, I felt at ease and understood every word that was said. I now know the process and currently waiting for a full breakdown of my care plan over the next 6mo or so. This is one of the best dentist offices I’ve ever been to, and Dr. Mithani is great. He’s efficient, friendly and gets your cleaning done with a thorough but gentle touch. The location is easy for me to get to (walkable from work) and they’re open on weekends, which is nice. The office staff is nice and quick to respond over the phone, as well.

I am not a good dental patient. Don’t do everything I am told, afraid of pain. He was great. The office actually overcharged me and when I received my explanation of benefit I emailed them in November and was told the billing person was out. I had to contact May the following year to get the matter resolved. Also I had additional work to do and they didn’t follow up. Now that I reached out they are not taking my insurance.

Dr Mithani is a wonderful dentist. I had a phobia of dentists and had avoided treatment for many years. Dr Mithani listened attentively to my concerns and it was obvious that he had read my information sheet carefully prior to my appointment. He was very sensitive to my anxieties, proceeding slowly and gently while explaining everything in detail. Nothing was rushed. He did everything to put me at ease and I am actually looking forward to my next appointment to sort out my other teeth. The woman at front desk was the most competent medical receptionist I’ve ever encountered in NY – so friendly, had all my forms printed and ready, dealt with my insurance, and let me know the exact cost of upcoming treatment. Highly recommended.

I went for my first visit as a routine cleaning. I was seen right away no wait time. He talked me through everything which I didn’t mind listening to in the massage chair. He said he was going to keep an eye on one spot, but that there was another that needed to be filled. He didn’t pressure me to stay and make the decision there and was okay when I rescheduled to come back later in the month. When I arrived for the filling, again no wait, and he talked me through every step of what he was doing. I am so happy with the finished look (it was on my front tooth) and even excited to go back in 6 months for my cleaning, that he does personally!

The office is super clean and the equipment very high-tech from what I remember going to the dentist years ago. Not to mention the dentist chair has a slight massage to help you relax which I have to say is pretty freaking cool. I just scheduled another appointment with Dr. Mithani. He’s personable and informative without talking down to you. His staff is also incredibly courteous and helpful, both in-person and over email. The office is clean and bright and I’m never left waiting more than several minutes for my appointment. Last year we discovered my first ever cavities, and he answered every single one of my questions about care, treatment, fillings, etc. The process itself was painless and well done, and I walked out and went right back to work (albeit with some residual mouth numbness!). I originally went to Innovative Dental because they were close to my office, but I’ll continue to return even though I now work in a completely different neighborhood. They’re flexible and open on weekends, too, which is helpful if you have a busy schedule like me. I highly recommend them!

It May sound strange to say this about visiting a dentist butI I love going to Dr. Mithani. He is patient, super polite, and professional. As he does the procedure he constantly checks to see if you are comfortable and if it hurts even a little bit he will apologize for the slightest discomfort. His staff is awesome. They know me by name. Special thanks to Teresa and Kristina who always take care of me. The office is a 4 minute walk from my office, so I usually walk over there to make an appointment, and many times I am told on the spot that Dr. Mithani can see me if I have time. Highly recommend, especially if you are squarmish about going to a dentist.

I am a new patient with Innovative Dental. I arrived At the dental office around 8:30amand my appointment is for 9am so the lights were still off hahaha. I met Dr. Ali Mithani and his assistant Samantha in the elevator on my way up to the 6th floor. They greeted me with such kind and respect. I checked in on a smart tablet which was pretty nice and easy. I started my cleaning around 8:40am. The Dr.Ali Mithani apologized multiple times for the wait but I told him that it was not needed and that I was there too early. We both laugh and chuckled and got ready. He was assisted by lovely Samantha who walked me through the whole entire process of getting my teeth X-ray. I would like to say while sitting in the chair it had a message built inside of the chair which I so loved. The office is soooo clean and sanitized very well. Dr. Ali Mithani walked me through the reasoning for my x-ray and gave me advice on how to keep my teeth looking sharp and clean. He never once try to offer me something that I did not need for my teeth for more money for a company. I have had many experience that way and it was not very friendly and only marketing things. I will most definitely recommend this dentist office to my family and friends. This is hands down the best Dental office I have ever been to. Thank you Dr.Ali Mithani and Samantha for the best experience ever today. I am always scared to visit a dental office but after today I am no longer afraid to visit. See yo guys in another 6 months!!!!!

As always one of the best dentists and office that I have been to and that’s saying a lot since I usually hate dentists/dental offices. Nothing against dentists, but having weaker teeth means bad news always. Very understanding and sympathetic group. Dr. Mithani is extremely specific and accurate. He knew right away what exactly was the problem – not just vaguely that the nerve was sensitive but that it was due to a crack in the tooth not to mention he could tell that another tooth on the other side had been bothering me before I mentioned it. They are also willing to work with you as in probably root canal but they will agree to try to treat it as not a root canal until the work is done and they go in, etc. As a skiddish patient, I highly recommend

Dr. Mithani and his team are AMAZING! Everyone is extremely friendly, kind, and funny. I got to the office about 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork and was seen right away. The office is really clean and modern – x-rays were done in less than 10 minutes and the rest of my cleaning was very thorough. I appreciated that Dr. Mithani took the time to go over the x-rays with me, and explained what everything meant instead of just telling me what kind of work I needed done. His staff is sensitive to insurance stuff, and helped me come up with a root canal plan that will get the most out of my insurance. I came to his office on a recommendation from a friend after I had a nightmare experience at a different office in the city, and I’m thrilled that I did.

I love Dr. Mithani and staff! He’s always polite and superbly nice to me. The staff is always bubbly and eager to help. They do great work, talk to you straight and address all your concerns thoroughly. AND THE CHAIRS MASSAGE! They left me to wait for a minute and asked if I needed the wifi password for my phone or the TV turned on and I was like, “No – I just need to decompress in this chair.” It was magical. I got new invisalign retainers (viviera or whatever the invisalign child company is) which were a much better deal (4 sets/ $500) than I got in CT (1 set for $400). IDK if the price has gone down in the year that I had the first retainer or my dentist in CT was ripping me off but I love this new value. I was concerned this past visit about my teeth decaying in the middle as I’d noticed a discoloration. He reassured me it was just staining and cleaned it all off so well that I don’t want to eat because my teeth look so pretty and white! I love trips to his office and would get cleanings every 3 months if insurance covered it….in fact I may start paying out of pocket for extra cleaning – it’s that good! + you can book on zocdoc. They are open every other Saturday.

He believes in attention to detail and provides predictable and conservative dentistry. Dr. Mithani graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and did his General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital. He is a member of American Dental Association and NYS Dental Society. Dr. Mithani is constantly looking to improve himself through continuing education with particular focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the best care.
