For years I used to dread going to the dentist. But that change since I been coming to Instyle Dental. Dr. Kar is a talent and his wonderful staff really made me feel comfortable. I love InStyle Dental. The staff is friendly and courteous. They have been very helpful with making appointments so my husband and I can go at the same time. Carolina is always clear about the cost of any procedure and is willing to make payment arrangements. This place is the best family dentistry in Pasadena-South Pasadena area. Even if you don’t live in the area it’s worth the trip. Dr. Kar and his team are the greatest people on earth and they’re really good at what they do. What i really like from them is that all my dental work were painless! Dr. Kar is really gentle with me and always makes sure that i don’t feel pain. Carolina at the front desk always gives you a thorough explaination on fees and insurance benefits. Michael is just as awesome as Dr. Kar and they both are a great team! I highly recommend this place and even if youre not insured, you should contact these guys I’m sure theyll work something out because they care. The best dental experience i’ve ever had.

Let me first state that I am in the group that only writes a business review when I’ve either had a terrible experience or an exemplary one. In this instance, InStyle Dental absolutely came through for my family. Living through unprecedented times with the Covid-19 pandemic, our 5 year old daughter was experiencing extreme tooth pain this past week. She was scheduled to have several cavity fillings this month with her current pediatric dentist but their practice was closed and they were not seeing any patients during this time. The only option they offered was a referral to a dental surgeon to have her teeth extracted which was not a viable consideration as her adult molars were not expected to grow in for another 5-6 years. Feeling deserted and frustrated in a time of need, we searched Yelp and came across InStyle Dental’s highly rated business. We were very fortunate to find out that Dr. Kar was available and was willing to see patients in emergency instances and we were able to schedule an appointment the following day. Considering that this was our daughter’s first in-depth dental experience, Dr. Kar and his assistant Michael were nothing short of amazing. Their calm demeanors and approach kept our daughter feeling comfortable throughout the whole procedure. The facility is top notch, the equipment is state of the art and all of the instruments were clean and or wrapped which included the tv remote. With Netflix available, our daughter kept still for the duration as she was able to choose her favorite Power Rangers show which kept her mind busy and at ease. In this time of stress, my wife and I are very thankful for Dr. Kar. Our daughter is no longer in pain, is able to eat again and is back to her happy self. We would 100% recommend InStyle Dental to all.

Going to the dentist for the most part brings a reservation or hesitancy to most people, we tolerate it because we have to do it. Dr Kar makes this experience the best it can be. The entire staff is very professional and helpful, it seems their main goal is to make the patient experience as good as it can be. Water is offered the minute you walk in the door and once in the dental chair, a wide choice of streaming movies are available to comfort or distract you while your getting your treatment/s. His office is completely up to date with the latest medical and technological services. Today, for my first visit, complete photographs and X-rays were taken of my mouth so in the future there will be a clear “before and after” comparison if requested. I think one of the most important things to notice about all these Yelp reviews is how Dr Kar communicates with his detractors, he’s very kind and makes it clear he’s willing to work with the most unhappy patient to be sure they have felt heard and understood even if they leave the practice. Thank you Dr Kar for a very nice, professional and thorough experience.

I can’t say enough about Dr Kar and his staff. I have been putting off taking my 5 year old twins to the dentist because the last couple of experiences were really tough. I took my daughter a couple of weeks ago because she had some pain. The staff were able to squeeze us in the schedule. Dr Kar was patient, warm and very sweet with my daughter. He took the time to ask her about her school, friends etc. They were able to do a dental exam and cleaning. He was able to determine that the pain was from new teeth that will be coming in soon. After the exam, she was able to go the toy chest and pick out a small toy. I mentioned to the Dr that my son needs to come in for a check up as well. When I shared with him that my son is quite anxious and had special needs, he offered to give us an appointment time for a day that was less busy and very quiet. Today was the big day for my son. I was extremely impressed. The office was quiet, the doctor came out to personally welcome my son, walked us to the chair. We didn’t wait at all. He spoke very clearly and directly to my son. He showed him all of the tools before doing anything and explained how they work. My son was still a little apprehensive. Dr Kar worked very slowly and at his pace and let my son be in “control”. He was so gentle and attentive. I can’t say enough about this office and how comfortable they made my children. Now I don’t dread the task of taking 5 year old twins to the dentist! i don’t even know where to begin in describing how much i love instyle dental. i had my first visit a few months ago and dr. kar and his team were so warm, welcoming, and professional. i’m pretty compulsive about finding a good dentist and dr. kar and his team are the best that i’ve experienced. they were so thorough and patient, taking time to ask about my dental hygiene routine and explaining each procedure performed. i also loved the tvs at each chair and the state of the art tech equipment used. and when i had some problems with my insurance company paying for the entire visit, dr. kar’s team took care of it too. i’ve recommended everyone i know to them and will continue to do so. in fact, they sent me a thank you card, with two movie gift certificates, for a new patient referral. what business does that?!!! these guys are amazing. i can’t wait for my next visit.

We’ve been coming here since we moved to LA four years ago. We’ve tried other dentists but we always keep coming back to Dr Kar and his staff. InStyle Dental is the best dental office I have ever been to. They have courteous, professional and knowledgable staff members that help ease your nerves for those of you that are scared to sit in the dentist chair or at least those that want to admit it. Dr. Kar is the most gentle doctor with the skill of making you feel at ease. He takes the time to brief you with the procedures that he is about to perform so that you’re not surprised and he takes great care to ensure that you are comfortable. Yes, then there’s the flat screen tv’s that’s in every room. You seem to forgot the time or dscomfort when you’re watching your favorite shows like the Food Network or E Hollywood Channel. I live in Orange County and it is quite a distance to their office BUT finding a dentist that cares about their patients, is concerned about the quality of their work and is an active listener is very rare. At InStyle, you are a patient, not just a number.

My kids have been going to InStyle Dental for the past 3-4 years. I just started going and love the entire staff. My kids favorites are Michael and Dr Park, they are really helpful and patient with my children. Michael goes out of his way to ensure that my kids are comfortable at the dental office. Krishna is my all-time favorite dental hygienists. She’s thorough, kind, and takes the time to explain and really talk to you about your dental health and how to keep it healthy. First off I would like to address insurance issues that people may have experienced thus leaving a bad review for this office. I work at a physical therapy clinic that is not in network with any insurance so I fully understand the frustration of a patient. However, patients don’t understand that we as medical providers do not have EXACT numbers of reimbursements because insurance company decide how much they will pay after we bill them. Also, this explanation can vary depending on insurance. In all, medical offices have limited info of reimbursement. mThis place may have slightly higher rates from other dental offices because they are GREAT at what they do. You pay for what you get! By all means, you can go elsewhere but I guarantee that you won’t get the same treatment. Dr. Kar and his staff are sweet and friendly. I like that Dr. Kar is very diligent with his care. Also, Yolanda is one of my favorite dental hygienist!! I love that she’s gentle and thorough, and she provides me with the necessary education so that I can protect my beautiful teeth!! Overall, a well deserved FIVE stars. Been a loyal client for over 10 years and still coming for my semiannual cleanings!!

Let me first start off by saying how terrified I am of dentists. It was very easy to set an appointment with the front office staff. A lady name Caroline helped me. She was very friendly and helpful. I was set up with a dental hygienists named Linda who was so kind, patient and gentle. My cleaning and exam was painless. She explained every process she was working on to ease my worries. When she was done I can honestly say it was the best cleaning I have ever received. Then I met Dr Kar who was just as friendly and patient when answering all my questions. The exam and cleaning was the most thorough one I have ever gotten at a dental office. I loved how clean the office and friendly everybody was. I will be recommending all my family and friends here!

Love InStyle Dental… Dr. Kar is amazing. He eased my worries I used to have with visiting a dentist. The rest of his staff is also extremely friendly and genuinely care! It’s almost as if everyone there enjoys their job. Weird right?!? Also, they have a television in every room so you can watch whatever you’d like while your getting work done. The place is clean and doesn’t hold any of the stigma’s of what a dentist office is. I’m glad that I found this dentist office… I won’t let any other dentist touch my teeth ever again. InStyle Dental in San Gabriel is the best dental office around. As you walk from the parking lot to the office, you can hear beautiful, calming music as if you were going to a spa. The interior is very clean and modern looking. The staff – top notch! From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, the staff makes you feel welcome and informed. Dr. Kar is a true professional with great experience. I was informed every step of the way and the process was fast and painless. I had a deep cleaning and a wisdom tooth extraction all in 1 session and it was painless (I was awake throughout the process). As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know when the doctor removed my wisdom tooth. Best of all, I was pain free during and after the process, and even went to hit some golf balls at the driving range and had an early dinner an hour later. I admit, I haven’t gone to a dentist in a very very long time (mostly because of fear and I gag easily), but this doctor made me feel comfortable. Like the golf commercial slogan, THIS DOCTOR IS GOOD!!! He changed my opinion about dentists and I will go to him for all my dental needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
