After going to several dentists in New York and only being able to see the actual dentist for less than 2 minutes per appointment, Dr.Khoo was a breathe of fresh air. Not only did she call me herself ahead of time to make sure she was ready to address any of my concerns, but she also sat with me for over an hour for our first check up. She explained all of the X-rays to me, had this camera that made a computer generated model of my mouth and was very thorough in cleaning my teeth. It was a great experience, and I generally hate going to the dentist. Definitely will continue to see her as long as I live in New York. Her office also was very nice and new, and she had a TV for me to watch standup comedy while I was getting my teeth cleaned

I met Dr. Khoo for the first time today. She was able to identify an issue I’ve been experiencing my whole life in the first 15 minutes of talking to her. Unlike most dentists I’ve met in the past, Dr. Khoo considers the whole body when looking into dental concerns. She made sure I understood the treatment plan and took all of my concerns into consideration. She and her dental assistant are very kind, compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable. I’ve been a regular patient of doctor Khoo for many years. I’m naturally fearful of dentists but Dr. Khoo really knows how to make me feel comfortable and at ease. She is very personable and takes the time to explain what she is doing and why. I never felt she was pushing unnecessary treatments. I had some complex bite issues and she was able correct it. Her new office is fantastic and easily accessible. Every Covid protection measure was put in place to keep me safe. In short, I feel she is an honest and highly skilled professional. I would never consider to switch for another dentist.

I’ve never been a fan of the dentist, but Dr. Khoo is amazing. She makes you feel welcome and at home, and explains everything in depth! The office itself is brand new and immaculate. There are TV’s on the ceiling with Netflix and other streaming services with noice canceling headphones to distract yourself from any procedure! Felt like I was at a spa for my teeth. All that being said I still don’t like the dentist, but might as well go with the best!

I’ve seen Dr Khoo since before this office and she’s super duper awesome. She’s not the typical run-of-the-milk dentist where they clean your teeth really quickly and you’re out and you’re left wondering whether there thats all there is for each dentist visit and whether there is anything else wrong. She really takes her time to examine your teeth and mouth for any problem issues and uses state of the art tech too to take 3D images as she’s scanning so you can visually what’s going on see as she’s doing it. She’s really passionate about oral health and tries to make it a point to make sure each patient understands what’s going on as she performs the examination. Lastly, she’s super personable and down to earth so it doesn’t have to be all be dental talk – we share any cool things going on in our lives as well!

Hands of an angel! As a healthcare provider myself – I appreciate everything Dr Khoo does during the appointment. She explains all the findings, tells you what intervention would be beneficial going forward and you don’t feel a thing (which is crucial for me!). You never feel rushed. She was gracious enough to open up her office during the holidays for an ache I was experiencing – forever grateful! One of her employees Lauren was so helpful in trying to fit me into the schedule when she heard I was experiencing pain, she kept in touch all day – letting me know about any earlier availability. She even offered to run through all the insurance information / fees ahead of time – to save me time when I come in for the appt. Thank you so much!

Dr. Khoo has been my dentist for 11-12 years now because she is knowledgable and empathetic. She has never tried to upsell me with services and espouses preventative care, even when it is less financially beneficial for her in the long run. At the end of the day, her patient’s health is top priority. Her new office is in a part of town that I typically never visit, but I am willing to change up my habits to keep her as my dentist. The new space is also gorgeous and zen–never thought I would say that about a dental office!

I have chosen Dr. Khoo to be my dentist for many years because she is the best at what she does. She is an expert with many years of experience. In addition, she actively listens to my concerns, communicates effectively, and explains her reasoning for treatment suggestions, including when she thinks certain procedures are unnecessary. As a huge anxiety freak, I am really glad to be under her care. In fact, I moved out of NYC for a while and had seen a local dentist when I needed some dental work done. Dr. Rhoo was thorough and meticulous in her screening, spending about 90 minutes with me vs. 15 minutes with most other dentists. She took the time to show me what she was looking at on the x-rays and gave me a mirror to show me what she was looking at in my mouth. I’m always so hesitant with dentist who take insurance because I know more often than not, they are not the best. But seriously Dr.Khoo and her office are one of a kind. Far and away the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental visit! Not only was Dr. Khoo thorough and professional, from a medical perspective, she researched and discussed the treatment plan and insurance/copay implications of everything before doing anything that would potentially come out of my own pocket, which was extremely appreciated. She was also very transparent in the analysis of my dental hygiene, and was very good at expressing this information (some of it relatively complex and almost speculative) to me in a comprehensible way that I could understand and process clearly, which was extremely enlightening and educational! The office itself was also beautiful and relaxing to be in. Did not feel like your run-of-the-mill dental office. The Netflix/noise cancelling headphones during the cleaning process made that much more enjoyable. Could not recommend IRO/Dr. Khoo enough!

As someone who has had a lot of dental work done, going to the dentist was always a scary and sometimes painful experience. That was until I found Dr. Khoo and I have stayed with her for 10+ year because she is a phenomenal dentist and amazing at what she does. She is someone I trust, she always explains everything and answers all my questions. She provides options and always respect your decisions. Most people are afraid of the dentist because of pain. You have nothing to worry about here. Dr. Khoo always considers your pain for a procedure, she takes the time to make sure you are fully numb before she starts. This is something I really appreciate, in the past I’ve experienced dentist who didn’t even bother to take this step or when they did provide numbing medication, they would start before the medication sets in. With Dr. Khoo I’ve never experience pain, which is why I am always willing to come back. Having her as my dentist, I’ve learn to take better care of my teeth and oral health. Her new office is modern, chic and has the newest and most modern technology to provide you with the best dental experience. Dr. Khoo has been the greatest dentist I’ve found in NYC. I’ve been going to her for 10 years. She is smart, gentle and kind.. Her practice, Iro Dental, is conveniently located near Penn Station. The office has state of the art dental equipment and it is super easy to make an appointment. They send you automated reminders, too. Also, I’ve changed my insurance a few times in 10 years and Iro Dental has always accepted all of my different types of dental insurance.
