For anyone who is afraid to see a dentist, fear no more!! For anyone looking for a great dentist… this is the one! This dental office is the best and will have you leaving the office with a huge smile on your face! Dr. David Kim and his staff are so friendly and professional. He is completely thorough with his examination and what he finds and will give you his honest recommendation on what step to take. He is so easy to talk to and is not scary (ha!) unlike other dentists that will give you that feeling. I admit, I have always been afraid of going to the dentist because of past experiences but this office and Dr. David Kim definitely eased my worries. I’m actually looking forward to future visits which is so unlike me! Thank you Dr. David Kim and staff!

My family and I have been going to this dentist for YEARS. They are top-notch and even though we only go once a year (oops!), they still remember all our names, what’s going on in our lives, etc. I have no idea how they have such good memories. I think they must secretly take notes or something. I had been going to other dentists before and thought the quality wasn’t as great and felt like I was being charged an arm and a leg for dental work. These guys are great and affordable. Highly recommend.

I was introduced to Dr. Kim by a family friend in 2007. Our family has been coming back since. Honest and thorough service kept us coming. They are friendly, professional, punctual, and very personal with you. I always feel taken care of. Received couple crowns, regular check ups with Dr. Kim (both of them). I absolutely love my dentist. Dr. Kim is very professional, attentive towards my care. The staffs are very courteous. I had my first visit for a cleaning and Dr. Kim did my cleaning himself, not a hygienist. And I got my two fillings replaced last week. The entire time I felt so comfortable and he was very informative, gentle and thorough. I am very pleased with the result, so far he is the best dentist I’ve ever come across. Dr. Kim, and his son, Dr. Kim, have both been in charge of my family’s dental hygiene since I was 3 years old. We drive close to 30 minutes to see them, and we couldn’t imagine it either way. I am the pickiest person when it comes to choosing who provides for my healthcare. I love this dental office!! I have been seeing Dr. David Kim for years now, he is very skilled, always offers the least invasive and simplest treatments whereas I’ve been to other dentists who try to tell me I need all kinds of crazy work done costing (a lot) ….crowns, etc. I’m only in my 30’s and take excellent care of my teeth! I started coming here a few years ago. This place is great. The staff is kind. The dentist, Dr. David kim, was very thorough with his examination. I found Irvine lake dental through (the internet). I’m so happy with all my experiences here. Everyone is gentle and kind and it’s the same every time I’m there. Scheduling is very easy and accommodating and they will remind you of your appointments. You ladies are awesome! Dr. David Kim had to extract my tooth and he did a great job. He was so thorough, made sure I knew what was being done, made sure I was comfortable, and the whole thing was so pain free. Oh yeah, I freakin love the x ray machine there. It’s so cool and high tech!! You will see what I mean when you see and experience it. I’ve had horrible experiences at dental offices before. I’ve had a root canal done horribly wrong. The dentist was on the phone convincing another patient to wait for her at her other location while she was working on my root canal. She was rushing and did a horrible job, hence the extracting of the tooth. She also charged my insurance for more than the work done. I seriously get anxiety whenever I go to a dentist. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentists. My husband also had deep cleaning done and I’m coming back for other dental care work. You’re our favorite dentist now. I’m referring my family and friends here because I want them to experience the best dental care ever!

I’ve been going to Lake Dental for over 3 years and I am thankful for my friend who referred me to here. Dr. David Kim has extremely dexterous hands. I usually hate anesthetic shots, because even after the numbing gel, I can still feel the needle and the injection coming into my mouth. But, with him, I feel some pulls and tugs, and with a little pressure on my gum, it’s over! One time, I had an emergency visit for my son on a Saturday because his regular pedodontist was not available. Dr. Kim stayed extra hour treating my child. My son is ultra sensitive and he literally cried and screamed when he saw a regular dentist, but Dr. Kim was so good that he didn’t complain as much. I was also impressed with his willingness to stay extra hour to care for a patient (…) I like the front desk staff as well. The office manager really remembers and knows the patients. She is also very friendly and always follows up with any insurance issues.

I have been a patient for at least seven years and Dr. Kim has always been amazing! He’s very personable and skilled and always does his best to make sure you’re comfortable. Everything is explained in great detail and I never feel like he’s rushing. I always feel very cared for as a patient. And I really like the fact that he does all my cleanings. I’ve heard that at some other offices it may be a dental hygienist instead.
The front office and assistants are great. Bianca is my favorite (she always remembers my name even though she only sees me every six months)!
I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment at a time that was convenient for me.
Most importantly, I’ve always felt assured that they run their business with integrity. I’ve never felt pushed into doing a procedure that I don’t need. You will definitely find that they genuinely care about you as a patient.

Our family has been going to this office for the past three years. The level of care, expertise and professionalism is exceptional. We’ve had all forms of dental work done, from regular cleaning to fillings, deep cleaning, root canal and wisdom tooth removal. Recently, my wife went to see another dentist while traveling due to pain, and the dentist suggested that she go see a specialist due to the alignment of her wisdom tooth. Luckily, the pain subsided and she was able to make an appointment the fist day back from vacation. Dr H Kim was able to pull out two wisdom teeth without any complications or pain. We have been very impressed with Dr Kim and his staff, and we’re very happy to recommend him to anyone who is in need of exceptional dental care.
A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. David Kim grew up in Irvine where he received all of his pre-college education. He then attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Kinesiology. He continued his studies at the University of Southern California, receiving his degree in Dental Surgery in 2007. He is now a clinical faculty at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. Dr. David Kim is always looking to further his knowledge in dentistry by attending continuing education courses, and by being a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, and a clinical faculty member of USC. Dr. David Kim’s friendly personality provides our patients with a comfortable environment and children are also encouraged to come into our office to see Dr. David Kim. The dental office environment can be intimidating, but we can assure you and your children will leave our office happy after seeing Dr. David Kim. Dr. David is an avid sports fan, and enjoys rooting for the Trojans, Lakers, and Dodgers.
