I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years. The staff always greets you and makes you feel welcome. For my appointments, I am always seated within 5 minutes of arrival. They always do their best to make you feel comfortable while getting work done. They have tv to watch, glasses to block out the light, and even offer headphones now. Dr. Irwin always stops by to say hello and ask about my family and I, even though I know he has plenty of work to get done. All around this place is great.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Irwin for 10 years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s kind, humble, all around great person but most of all amazing dentist. He has the newest technology and that’s a big plus. He has this tool called “the wand” and omg you will never feel the needle when you’re getting numbed up. I’ve tried other dentists before and hated every single one until I met Dr Irwin. My fiancé now comes here too. And not just Dr but the staff he hires are just as kind and caring. I’ve been visiting Dr. Irwin for 20+ years!! I was just a little dude when he first started dentisting under the wise guidance of his pops, Dr. Ray. Dr. Steve has seen me through lost baby teeth, retainers, and 5 cavities! Let’s get real though. As much as I’d like to say “I just love the way my dental hygienist scrapes my teeth with shards of metal”… I can’t. I hate it. The feeling makes my teeth curl (which makes it all the more difficult for the lovely folks at Irwin Dentistry). But I’ll say this: the people at Irwin Dentistry are nice and professional, and I totally trust them. So if you HAVE to get some preemptive care for your teeth (no one likes a dirty mouth!), I’d recommend this crew! Also let’s all say a little prayer for my wisdom teeth, which haven’t yet made an appearance in my 29 years of life. Here’s to life without routine oral surgery!

I have had excellent results with all my dental work and have had Dr.Irwin fix a lot of bad (cheap) work done by prior Dentists. On a scale of 1-10 they are definitely a 10. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Irwin for as long as he has been practicing dentistry. In fact, I was a patient of his father’s going as far back as the early 80’s when I was in elementary school. I have never had anything but good experiences with everyone who works there. I live in Long Beach so driving to La Habra isn’t close but it’s worth the drive. I’ve had other dentists before but only very briefly because my experiences were so negative in comparison. I started going to Dr Irwin last year after a really horrible experience with our last dentist (my son’s filling was so poorly done it caused a deep infection in his root of the molar, and other problems of my own). I brought my son in and Dr Irwin took the time to sit down and have a personal conversation in his office, which was such a nice change from our old dentist. He assessed the problem and gave us options. We went forward with an extraction and space-maintainer device. The whole experience was awesome. Very professional and the results have been great. Also, I have had work done and Dr Irwin has gone above and beyond. He’s awesome and so is his staff!

I’ve been going to Dr. Irwin’s since I was a teenager. Dr. Irwin, Hislena, Gina (my former hygienist), Julie, Lucia, Cindy (the former receptionist) and Brandi have always displayed the highest level of professionalism and skill as well as friendliness. I hadn’t been to the office in quite some time due to financial constraints. After going to another dentist who I was able to see through the insurance I had purchased earlier this year through (insurance company) and finding out I needed a root canal and crown, I decided just to go back to Dr. Irwin even though it meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket. I simply had more confidence in their work and was much more comfortable having those procedures as well as any other work done there. They were extremely gracious in putting together a payment arrangement (as they had also been in the past) and accommodating me in every way. I actually ended up just cancelling my dental insurance a few days ago even though it was only (a few dollars) a month as my teeth and oral health are too important to take chances with (which I’ve been unfortunately reminded of by my recent experiences). I would unhesitatingly recommend Irwin Dentistry to anyone who wants to get quality work done by people they can trust.

I’ve been going here for dental work for as long as I can remember. My whole family goes here as well. As a child I never felt scared going to the dentist and they certainly made me feel good for being such a good “crocodile.” Plus you get to choose a small toy from the treasure chest at the end of your visit. Even now I can still see the box of toys where it was when I used run over to it to collect my prize. As a teen they were who we used to get my braces. My teeth are still beautifully straight with minimal movement. They gave me a top removable retainer and a permanent retainer on my bottom front teeth that is much less of a hassle than it sounds. I constantly forget it’s even there while it keeps my teeth from moving around and going crooked. Now as an adult going in for a filling they give you an iPod to listen to Pandora so you don’t have to listen to the high ring of their tools. The only time I’ve ever gone anywhere else for dental work was when I got my wisdom teeth removed. I’m hoping to go to them for teeth whitening for my wedding coming up in the next few months too! They are always so thorough with their work and mindful of your comfort. The facilities are clean and the staff are always very welcoming and easy to talk to. If you’re looking for a dentist this is definitely the place to be.

Best dental service I’ve ever received ! The staff is very friendly, compensated all my needs and worries in the chair. I’ve been coming to Dr. Irwin’s office for over 30 years. (Originally seen by his Dad Ray before him) I’ve recommended many friends and colleagues to them over the years and they have all had fantastic experiences. Just recently my own kids started seeing Dr. Irwin and although they would say the toy prizes are they best part of going to the dentist, they all have had positive experiences with the hygienists and Dr. Irwin so I’m happy to have such a great resource nearby. When I was younger I used to get cavities somewhat regularly and then I started coming every 4 months rather than every 6 months. So although it’s it little extra out of pocket to do this I’ve saved tons of money over the years by keeping my teeth in good shape!! I can’t imagine going to another dentist. Dr Irwin is the best!

Just finished my teeth cleaning with the whole periodontal scraping. This is something that I absolutely dread and get anxious about the day before my appointment. However, today was amazing!! My hygienist applied a topical ointment on my teeth/gums prior to getting started. It numbed the area just enough that I didn’t feel a thing. Normally there a bunch of sensitive spots which makes the whole process painful and take longer. But this was the best I’ve ever had!!! Dr. Irwin is also soooo very sweet and such a nice pleasant personality. I can tell he really cares and wants to make sure everyone in his office treats the patients as customers!!! Thank you !!!

I was referred to Dr Irwin by my husband’s family who has been coming for years. I’d had a bad experience at another and everyone there instantly made me feel comfortable. They are honest, I didn’t feel as though they were trying to sell me unnecessary work. Dr. Irwin first went into practice with his father, Dr. Raymond Irwin right after graduation in 1991. After Dr. Ray retired in 2000, Dr. Steve took over and has remained in private practice ever since with his wonderful team of 6. Dr. Irwin grew up in La Mirada and then La Habra Heights and attended WCHS, where he was involved in student government and played football, basketball, and baseball. He did his undergraduate work as a biology major at Cal Poly SLO, 1983-1987. He then did his dental training at Loma Linda University. We like to think of ourselves as a comprehensive dental center that treats all phases of dentistry and all ages. We love seeing kids AND adults alike. We treat our patients with preventive professional cleanings provided by our highly skilled, painless, and friendly dental hygienists. Dr Irwin also enjoys restoring teeth to their original form and function by doing routine crowns and fillings. Being painless takes great care by the doctor, and therefore utilizing his sophisticated anesthesia delivery system for all his patients allows an extremely comfortable experience. Along with these routine types of procedures, Dr. Irwin also enjoys doing all aspects of orthodontics, including traditional braces and invisalign. He also receives a great sense of accomplishment when he replaces missing teeth with dental implants. He's received hundreds of hours of additional training over the years in order to perform these services at the highest level available.
