My husband has been coming here for years and always had good things to say. I just had my second visit with Doctor Skinner and he does not disappoint! Very caring and knowledgeable, explains everything he’s doing and makes you feel comfortable. I was nervous about getting a tooth pulled but he got it out before I even realized what happened, I didn’t feel a thing! Also, it’s super affordable. We have dental insurance but the out-of-pocket costs are much cheaper than another dentist who gave us estimates for what we needed done. All around fantastic experience. Thank you!

I had a great experience with Dr. Skinner, and have switched to him as my primary dentist! I had been experiencing severe tooth pain and called in on a whim, and I am very glad that I did. From the initial telephone call, which was answered by Dr. Skinner, to the procedure , my experience was pleasant. Not to mention the beautiful ambiance of the fountains while you are in the chair. I then went back for my semi-annual cleaning and my dental hygienist was a delight. She was very personable and thorough with my cleaning. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

The best dentist my wife and I have ever had! Dr Skinner is very friendly, and Liz (our hygienist) is a delight! Also, in the teeth cleaning area, rather than just having harsh fluorescent lights, the back wall is all glass and outside it they have a calming garden that lets in tons of natural light, making the whole space feel much more relaxing. A 10/10 dentist experience we haven’t been able to find anywhere else.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now. The drive is almost 45 mins from my home but sooo worth it! The staff here is amazing. They are professional, friendly, patient and don’t make you feel judged. They make you feel so comfortable. Dr. Skinner is a pretty cool dentist so the fact that his staff also reflects that, is awesome. Brought my son in for a cleaning his last dental experience (not here) was horrible so it took some time before he was willing to try again. Well he said “mommy, that was not bad at all. They were really nice”. Looking for a dentist, come here. They will take care of you. Did I mention, the office is super clean and you get a wonderful view in each station?!

Honestly, I’ve been looking for a dentist in Tampa for 20 years. I finally found one! I can’t recommend them highly enough. I’ve had a cleaning and fillings. First the cleaning: I have been to several of the chain dental clinics, they all wanted to charge for a “deep cleaning”, which as a former dental assistant I knew wasn’t indicated. Low and behold I go to Dr. Skinner and finally got a real cleaning not just a polish. I needed fillings and just had them. I didn’t even feel the injection and the fillings match my teeth so well I can’t see them. It was fast and so extremely pleasant. The staff is honest, efficient and friendly. I haven’t felt this good about my mouth for years!

I’ve been going to Dr Skinner’s office for more than a year now. I lived in Tampa most of my life and I’ve been to many dentists. Dr Skinner is the best dentist in Tampa by far. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr Skinner is excellent and skillful. He is efficient and does not try to sell you on any unnecessary procedures. Highly recommend.

Amazing. Ask for the dental hygienist, Sheila; she is definitely who you want for a teeth cleaning. I just got a teeth cleaning and Sheila explained thoroughly how to properly floss by using a model as well as numerous small details of proper teeth health. She’s also very friendly. They didn’t try to sell me anything, which happens at other dentists I’ve been to. I also found it funny the dentist himself said in response to my question about the Waterpik pamphlet saying research said it’s better than flossing, “Well, it depends on who you’re paying to do the research” and explained there’s a debate in the real scientific world between the utility of Waterpik vs floss, but they’re both better than nothing, a similar debate to electric vs regular toothbrush in that it depends more on how the user brushes the teeth.

Love Dr. Skinner, Ms. Sheila and the entire staff! Dr. Skinner tells you like it is and what is needed and doesn’t do things that aren’t necessary just to make a buck like other dentists I’ve gone to. My entire family has been going here for years…my husband, 8 year old daughter and even my parents when they are in town. Truly an exceptional practice!!!

BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!! Dr. Skinner and his staff are warm, welcoming, efficient, and just amazing. I would recommend this practice to everyone. After my first visit I received a hand written note by Dr. Skinner thanking me for coming in. This is what truly valuing your patients is all about. Dr. Skinner is kind, thorough, down-to-earth, and personable. He explains everything in layman’s terms and takes time to make sure you understand everything that’s going on with your teeth. His staff is friendly and efficient, and you’ll have no problem being squeezed in for an emergency visit. I’ve tried several other dentists in the area and he is by far the best!

Doc Skinner & Crew are amazing. I’ve had dental problems all my life and in the 34 years since I moved to Tampa I’ve been referred to many “old line” established dental practices. I’m the kind of person who tends to be brand-loyal, so if you don’t meet my criteria for a professional service you are performing for me–and I am paying for–I won’t be back. Doc Skinner & Crew blew away all my reservations about the practice of dentistry and exceed my expectations in every category. The hygienists especially Sheila are the best in town (I’ve had many who couldn’t hold a candle to them believe me) and all the work Doc Skinner & Crew performed for me at my relatively advanced age has been Grade A top notch. Angela in the front office is incredibly knowledgeable on insurance ins and outs and will get you accurate estimates on anything you decide to get done. You are in the driver’s seat once Doc Skinner gives you all your options. When coordinating his work with other specialists whose services you may require, he is totally professional and “plays well with others”!!!!! Besides which he is great to talk to and very personable. A gem all the way around. Plus the view from the dental chair isn’t the dull boring claustrophobic bare-knuckling white wall, it’s a garden with an ivied brick wall and a fountain with splashing water and palm trees and blue skies and (depending on the weather) puffy white clouds and lizards and butterflies all over. There is a dentist in town whose last name sounds like he ought to be running an Italian restaurant, who sends out advertisements in the mail once a week. Forget it. Go with the BEST!
