Dr. Beller saved my #18 yesterday. It was my first root canal. Dr. Beller has an assuring confidence that comes from being at the top of one’s profession. I was expecting misery but he put me at ease and narrated the entire process, which was entirely painless. When he was done he expressed confidence that my tooth will be OK. Once the painkiller wore off, I was expecting major pain. Instead, nothing! A day later, still no pain. Extremely happy with this outcome!

I’ll start by saying that I rarely post reviews… Recently I had root canal performed by Dr. Beller. I had been terrified to get it done after a hellish experience in the past. Dr. Beller was incredibly confident, comforting, and took the time to walk me through the process each step of the way. He explained to me that I wouldn’t feel any pain and he delivered on that promise – much to my delight. If you are like me, absolutely terrified of root canal I hope you can be treated by Dr. Beller or someone at his level.

If you need a root canal treatment, this is the guy to go to. He will get it done fast and keep you out of pain, and what more can you ask? He explains all about the treatment before he starts, makes sure you are totally numb, and completes the work quickly with no pain. Everyone hates dentists, and everyone is fearful, but this guy will make you a believer. Great chair side manner puts you at ease, and he actually made it possible for me to relax.

I do take offense to the review criticism left for Dr. Beller, because one review was about issues with his staff – not about Dr. Beller’s work or expertise abilities?? Another talks about a free consultation; why wasn’t that discussed prior visit ?? Also, if Dr. Beller had done something wrong why didn’t the person go to the Dental Board that protects all of us ???? Something sounds …. Oh, well, there are always two sides to every story and all I know is mine and how I have excellently been treated: I deserve the best and am fortunate to have found Dr. Beller which gives me great security! Also, l was taught to critique almost everything as my mother was a Consumer Advocate and if she were alive today would 100% endorse and back this fine Endodontist/Dentist! She helped so many on this earth from a 3 day allowance to review a Contract to almost every item in a Grocery store being tested and approved prior being put on the shelf in the 50’s and 60’s. I know in my heart she would have total appreciation that Dr. Beller took such good care of her daughter !!

I was recommended to Dr. Beller twenty years ago- He is the best! I have recommended many friends & family- He is gentle, compassionate, reassuring, & incredibly knowledgeable. If there is any way to avoid a procedure, he will let you know, as opposed to looking out for his best financial interest- He is a gem. The office is friendly & accommodating- Annabel is amazing, & went out of her way to gather information for me- Highly recommend this office.

I am an 87 year old woman who had a horrible toothache on my birthday and had to see Dr. Beller asap. He is as professional as they come and is an expert at his practice of dentistry,,,you could not find a better doctor any where else. He treated me with kindness and eased my pain. When I went to pay my build, I was greeted with smiles and was informed that I just got my first birthday present and that there would be no charge. What doctor does that, none that I know of, so please pass the word on about this wonderful human being and doctor, Thank you again, Sincerely Dolores Horn

Dr. James Beller and his staff are great to work with.  Dr. Beller made sure I was comfortable and informed about the root canal procedure. He made the experience comfortable and painless.  I also had an issue with my medical insurance and one of the staff members, Becky, helped me through the process.  Becky provided me with all the information I needed to help resolve the issue.  Great customer service!  Thank you.

Lovely and friendly front office. Fast, easy, no pain root canals. I was very nervous about a root canal while in my 2nd trimester. Dr Beller’s bedside manner is one of pure ease. He never becomes frustrated or curt. He’s explanatory and thorough. So much so that I went back a few years later for a procedure out of network.

Excellent endodontist! Had a complicated root canal through a crown/cap. He did a beautiful job. This is 24 hours later and I have no pain (except if I chew on that side of my mouth – which he told me not to do for 24-48 hours). The Novocaine wore off, I slept like a baby and did not need any of the anti-inflammatory or pain killers he insisted I take home with me. I had heard such horror stories about root canals and I told him I was nervous. He calmed me right down with a great chair-side manner and totally matter-of-fact attitude about the whole thing. What a guy! I would totally recommend to friends and family (and you

If you follow my reviews at all, you’ll know that I loathe dentists. Truly loathe. I become ridiculously anxious when at their offices and would love to avoid them like the plague, but am far too responsible to do so. My general dentist, Dr. Imankhan, sent me to Dr. Beller to confirm that I needed a root canal. How is this going to be a good day? His chair-side manner, so to speak, is very relaxing and jovial; he cracks jokes, etc., while still getting down to business and moving along quickly. He knew pretty rapidly that a root canal was necessary. He says to me, “If you have time, let’s do it now. It’ll take 45 minutes.” I knew I would obsess about it until it happened, so, “ok.” Throughout the procedure, he continued to reassure me and make it as easy as he could. His assistant was very kind to me; she saw me trying not to cry (and then finally crying) and was very comforting. (It was also nice to look up periodically at the huge autographed picture of The Bush Push and see the pained faces of the ND fans!) The procedure was fast, honestly painless (and I’m a wuss!), and everything is going smoothly afterwards. Well, actually, there was some pain. Signing the credit card receipt with my crappy insurance provided a bit of pain. But that’s no fault of Dr. Beller’s. Bottom line, if you have to get a root canal (sorry!), then you should see Dr. Beller.

SF, Woodland Hills I needed a root canal and was recommended to Dr. Beller. He confirmed that I needed it. I had just had a new crown and he had to go through!!! the crown to do the root canal. Never having one I was a little cautious. He was fabulous, a completely pain free procedure and he explained everything he was doing, charming and made me feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Beller and his lovely staff any time. It is hard to find someone you can trust. Thank you.

In the movie “As Good As It Gets”, there is that great line ” You make me want to be a better man”. Although Dr. Beller would only perform a root canal if it was necessary, I would not mind having one for every tooth just as a preventive measure. A dentist that makes a patient want to get a root canal is one who is at that intersection where experience meets knowledge and care meets artistry. The words Root Canal usually inspire fear, but after having one with Dr. Beller, the fear is that some day I will need another one and  would have to go to someone other than Dr. Beller.

It’s unusual that the words ‘root canal’ and ‘pleasure’ could end up in the same sentence but this is the rare professional who is both a master of his craft and completely understands ‘seat-side’ manner. Dr Beller and his assistant performed less of a root canal today and more of an acrobatic act – instruments we’re flying between the two of them as if they were of one mind. Throughout the entire procedure, he explains (in advance) every move he’s about to make so there are no surprises and you’re not just being worked on, you’re involved in the process. The front office (Becky and Mary) couldn’t have been nicer and were very helpful about getting me in for the appointment and figuring out my insurance. Just as he assured me, “I’ll fix you” – he did – with no pain after the procedure! If you’re unlucky enough to need a root canal, go see Dr Beller – he’s a very talented guy, has a state of the art office and is working at the top of his game.

Hi my name is Priscilla I had a severe infection in one of my teeth and was in an enormous amount of pain. I needed a root canal come to find out . I was referred to Dr.beller and was scared because I have never had a root canal before. I wasn’t able to afford it ,but because the manager saw what excruciating pain I was in worked with me , who by the way is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met she is very sincere and compassionate and was really concerned (Becky). I had the root canal done and hands down Dr. James Beller is amazing he was very ,very nice and made me feel very comfortable ,he is very knowledgeable and he literally talked me threw every step and he has such a great tone and really puts you at ease . My experience was great I couldn’t have asked for a better Dr. His staff were very organized the office was clean and his work was painless and very detail oriented . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DR.!!!!!!! 🙂 He is awesome

If you need a root canal, Dr. Beller is the one. Fast, freindly, professional, clean office, terrific staff, and as painless as it could be. He took his time to explain every small thing he was going to do for my recent difficult back molar root canal, and why, and this helped a lot. Hopefully I will never need another one, but if I do, thanks Dr. Gabriel Rivera for recomending Dr. Beller.

Most people dread going to the dentist. This weekend I developed a toothache in my molar that was so painful it prevented me from sleeping. My regular dentist, Gregory Turk, referred me to a specialist, Dr. James Beller, since Dr. Turk knew it was probably going to be a root canal. Dr. Beller’s staff slipped me in on short notice over my lunch hour, they took a 3D X-ray which showed a strange cavity in the root canal. Dr. Beller told me that if this open area had breached the side of the tooth, the tooth would have to be extracted, but that he could go in and see what could be done. About 45 minutes later, I walked out with my tooth and original crown intact, and just the root gone. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Beller patiently explained what he saw on the X-rays, what the possible outcomes could be and what the probabilities of those outcomes were. Before he did anything to me, he described what was about to happen, how it would feel (I felt no pain whatsoever after the initial examination of the tooth), and how long it would take (“30 seconds”, “about a minute”, etc). It’s a bit of an exaggeration to say that having a root canal could be “pleasant”. But my experience in Dr. Beller’s office was, without a doubt, the least annoying serious dental procedure I’ve ever had. Dr. Beller is a skilled technician and a clear communicator, and I would recommend him and his staff to anyone with serious dental problems.

This was not my first visit to Dr. Beller and I can say that he has always been extremely kind, patient in explaining things to me and did a wonderful job. My dentist highly recommended him; he is the only endodontist she and her family sees and there’s a reason for that. Trust in doing a great job is the most important thing in selecting a medical provider and Dr. Beller has mine!

I had seen Dr. Beller years ago for a root canal and when my dentist told me I needed another one, I went back to see him again. He has a wonderful and calming manner about him and took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. As it turned out, I didn’t need the root canal after all! In the event I do in the future, he’s the guy I’d want to see! Thank you again!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Beller! His staff worked me in for an emergency root canal yesterday. Not only was there zero pain involved, Dr. Beller has the most outstanding bedside manner. He was gentle and oh, so fast. The consummate professional. I have been meaning to post this review for a while.  Dr. Beller was fantastic in re-treating a root canal that I had years ago by another Endodontist.  He explained everything very clear to me and was super pleasant.  They also got me in very fast and my insurance covered 100% of the procedure.  Very happy.  Thank you again for the great care..

Dr. Beller and his staff made the dreaded ROOT CANAL an absolute breeze. I was so nervous, as I’m sure most patients are, and they all reassured me the whole way that everything was gonna be ok. The procedure itself was almost entirely painless, and Dr. Beller told me what was going on the whole time, showed and explained x-rays along the way, and made sure I knew what to do for after care. I can’t thank you enough for taking such good care of me!!

It doesn’t get any better than this! I have been working for dentists my whole life. And most of those dentists have referred to Dr. Beller for root canals. Can you get a better recommendation than that? I met with Dr. Beller for the first time yesterday for my own root canal. The staff is 100% remarkable and professional. I see that some have complained about the pricing, here on Yelp. But this is a specialist, people. You have been referred here because your general dentist cannot do the job for you!! Dentistry is very expensive in general! I am very impressed by his chair side manner. He makes you feel very relaxed and you know what he is doing the whole time because he tells you. What a remarkable experience (for a root canal, that is!). I highly recommend Dr. Beller!

Dr. Beller is the best! Several years ago he did a root canal on one of my front, lower teeth. It was painless and easy. After the treatment I still had no pain or discomfort. I didn’t even need to take an aspirin or ibuprofen. I was shocked. I was so frightened from stories I had heard from friends and coworkers that I thought I’d have to take the following day off work. In October 2012 I went again to Dr. Bellar and he performed a root canal on a lower, left molar. Again, no pain whatsoever after the treatment. This time the procedure was much more involved, but what needed to be done was done with care and ease. After the treatment I only needed an ibuprofen. That’s it. He’s the best and I highly recommend him.

I had my first root canal today. It was no big deal. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30 and I was seen on time. When I scheduled the appointment Dr. Beller’s assistant was very informative and told me the appointment would take about 2 hours. Everything went as scheduled. Actually, even better as it took about 1 1/2 hours. Dr. Beller is absolutely, hands-down the best! I didn’t feel a thing! He is so gentle, knowledgeable and kind. He kept me informed during the process. I left the office and got straight back to work without any hesitation. I had no pain whatsoever throughout the day and night. Dr. Beller is a true gem. I didn’t even need a Tylenol. I am grateful and amazed. Dr. Beller’s staff was warm and helpful. All of the hype around root canals being so painful is so overrated – that is if you see Dr. Beller!

I just want to say that Dr. Beller was absolutely amazing. I called to get in very last minute with horrible tooth pain. They got me in right away and the front desk ladies were as nice as can be. After going to 2 prior drs, he was able identify the problem immediately and i finally got a good night sleep. It is very hard to find genuinely caring and honest dentists out there and he is definetly one of the them! I highly recommend Dr. Beller!!!
