How Dr. Crabtree isn’t the number one ranked dentist in Arcadia is a bigger mystery than the creation of the universe. Let me break down why you should stop going to your current dentist and drive on over to Dr. Crabtree (listed in no particular order): 1. Pain-free. He makes sure you aren’t feeling what he is doing. 2. The man has a love and passion for his job 3. He remembers information about patients and their families. 4. Super clean office. 5. Conveniently located off the Gold Line. 6. He lets you know exactly what he is doing. 7. He wants children to watch him works so they are not scared of dentists. 8. His office staff is incredibly friendly. I went to Dr. Crabtree when I was a child. Back then I loved going to the dentist. It was fun going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned. My insurance changed and I had to switch to other dentists. That is when I started to fear dentists. When I was a patient of Dr. Crabtree I had never felt any pain. Every dentist since has made me sweat through my clothes during the visit. I recently returned back to LA after spending 13 years in Japan. I told my wife to stop torturing herself with the Japanese dentists. She must have gotten tired of hearing me talk about how great Dr. Crabtree is. Unfortunately, she popped out a crown with a toothpick before I was able to secure a job and dental insurance. I immediately called Dr. Crabtree and was lucky enough to get an appointment that day for her. He cemented her crown back on. Not only that, but he remembered stories about me from over 20 years ago. He remembered my parents too! It was crazy! When we went to pay we were shocked that he charged us $0. What dentist does that?! I feel so lucky that my mother took me to see Dr. Crabtree when I was a little guy. If I lived two hours away from his office I would commute to his office for all my dental needs. Thank you for being the best dentist I have met in 37 years. Never retire.

I walk into a small office. Apprehensive. Dear god, give me good news. In fact, let there be no news. News, when it comes to teeth, is almost always bad news. So let no words be spoken by James Crabtree. For this will be a successful visit. However, when he opens his mouth, my apprehension begins to fade. He explains what he is doing, each step of the way. Not only that, he explains why he is doing it and what I could be doing at home to the same affect. He talks about himself. His family. His experiences from both the dentist and patient perspective. True, it’s more of a one-sided conversation what with my mouth being heavily occupied with rubberized fingers, but it’s a welcome, honest distraction. Before I know it, the pain free process is over. I leave the office more knowledgeable, with a small kit to keep my pearly whites in their current state of good health. If you’re on the market for a new dentist, your search should start here. Even if you have a dentist, maybe you should consider a change. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Crabtree’s for quite a while now and I think he’s fabulous! He’s honest, friendly, efficient and pain free! I also appreciate that he’s not always looking for things to fix in my mouth like other dentists I’ve had in the past. Dr. Crabtree is the best dentist I have ever visited! He is great with kids and adults, emphasizing making his patients as comfortable and calm as possible. My son has had a lot of dental work done and hated the dentist, but now that we switched to Dr. Crabtree, he never complains! I also love that he never pushes unnecessary treatments on his patients. My previous dentist was non stop with the extra whitening or other cosmetic treatments. I do not have insurance, but Dr. Crabtree is reasonable and affordable. Best dentist ever!

Dr. Crabtree is knowledgeable, punctual, and personable –all great traits in a dentist. His office is always welcoming and clean. There is never a wait and he answers all your questions. Rarely do you get a dentist who cleans your teeth too! His new office location is much better than his old one and there never is any problems with parking. Our friendship notwithstanding, Dr. Crabtree is an outstanding dentist with impeccable bedside manner and admirable professionalism. He truly is a fabulous family dentist. In fact, for many years, he has been the dentist for our sons, my parents, and other family members, all of whom would give him the same top marks. I’ve been going to Dr. Crabtree for 20+ years now. Just that alone should tell you that he’s doing something right. He and Jodi always make you feel comfortable and they take their time with you. I had decided to change insurances because the one I was on just had those big groups that suck the life and money out of you. When I was looking around for a new dentist that can take care of kids as well I was referred to Dr. Crabtree. I have nothing but the best to say about him. He is great with my kids and did a great job with my husband and me. My daughter recently broke her teeth in this COVID-19 world and was quick to take her in as an emergency. It was pretty bad. When he couldn’t do it because it would be more extensive work he was calling around for specialists willing to help her. I am forever grateful and we are so glad he is our dentist. I believe having a good dentist is very important like having a good doctor and we a very lucky to have Dr. Crabtree and his amazing dental assistant Gloria.

I wanted a new dentist for my children and did a dentist search. Most dentists wanted to drill and fill cavities on baby teeth and do so while putting the children under some type of medication. I had one dentist tell me my two year old son was too squirmy and may have to put him under anesthesia for drilling and filling a baby tooth. I didn’t want my kids drugged nor put through unnecessary dental procedures for enriching them. Dr. Crabtree doesn’t do any of the above. He treat adult teeth. He talks to the kids and shows them photos of uncared for teeth. I am very happy with him and referred my mother to him and am even thinking of making him my dentist.

I’m one of those people that fears dental work like nothing else. A week before my dental appointment I start conjuring up stories in my head about how horrible the experience will be. How many teeth will fall out. How much it will hurt. I walk into Jay’s office acting like a 4 year old whining and freaking out. He is SO patient and doesn’t make me feel ridiculous. As if I wasn’t impressed enough with him, a few years ago, when I was going through an extremely stressful time, Dr.Crabtree was the first of my doctors to notice my stress and how it was impacting my health.
