I’ve been going to Dr. Urick for two years and it is always a pleasant experience! I feel at home and at ease when I am there. The entire staff makes sure I am comfortable. Donna and Rosie are excellent at reminding me about appointments and informing me about the expenses. Dr. Urick works efficiently, but takes his time to ensure the job is done right and with care. My biggest praise is that he was able to fix the cause of a toothache. What I appreciated about his approach is that he did not immediately recommend an invasive procedure that would have costed me time and money. Instead, he went through other non-invasive approaches. Ultimately, the toothache persisted and a readjustment of a filling was required. This procedure solved the problem!

I’ve been been a patient of the practice for several years and started out seeing Dr. Urick, then switched to Dr. Azarinfar with an insurance change, and am now back to Dr. Urick. The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Urick! I feel very well taken care of as a patient of this practice and would highly recommend it!

I used to hate going to the dentist. I think that’s about the highest praise I can give any dentist. I had two fillings and a crown done by another dentist before I moved out here, and suffice to say they were always miserable experiences. So when I broke my crown out here on some (admittedly delicious) Chinese food, I was not in a great mood. The last thing I wanted to do is get a new one, which Dr. Urick told me I had to do to save the tooth. He walked through all my options for crowns, told me exactly what he was going to do before he did anything, and informed me of all the potential outcomes, good and bad. Left with no other options, I nervously agreed before my tooth could decay further. So nervous was I that he prescribed me diazepam to keep me from having a minor panic attack in the chair. He popped the old crown off, drilled out the decay, and fitted a new one. Not once did I experience the pain that had me so apprehensive of dental work previously. I didn’t need any pills to get the permanent crown a few weeks later; I felt hardly any stress. The new crown fit perfectly, looks great, and the price was in line with what you’d expect for a crown of that material and quality. I never felt pressured to get anything done that I didn’t want, he didn’t try to upsell me or rip me off, and he’s always very kind, patient, and great at explaining complicated dental concepts. I went back to get Invisaligns, cleanings, and checkups since, and everyone at the office — receptionists, assistants, hygienists — were all exceedingly kind and knowledgeable. I’d recommend a visit to Dr. Urick’s to anyone.

Best dentist office in SF hands down. I was referred to him by my kid’s dentist. Dr. Urrick is the most thorough and thoughtful dentist. I’ve had to have a lot of dental work in my days. He clearly is a doctor that loves what he does and that shows. His assistants are top notch. It is a wonderful team. The office staff is also caring, and patient. Something which I appreciate when having to see a dentist. I try to arrive early to sit in the massage chairs. This is the Nordstrom of dental care.

I love this dental practice. The front desk staff is fantastic! They go out of their way to make sure my appointments are scheduled, they remember and accommodate my preferences for my dental hygienist (who is Ana and also phenomenal), they even track me down when I’m overdue for an appointment, they call and remind me to tAke my meds, I could go on and on! Dr Urrick is also a great dentist. Ive Ben in good hands for the last six years!

I love Doctor Urick. He is definitley my favorite dentist ever…Like Monica S. I also look forward to going to the dentist w/ Doctor Urick…He was referred to me by a medical group that we use at the hotel …he has also been able me accomodate guests that have had dental emergencies while away from home…and they all come back beaming! I also love the location….almost next door to Tadich Grill, Perbacco and Aqua! I always try and stop off before or after to one of my three favorite Financial Dist. establishments…. Yeah for Doctor Urick, I cannot move out of Sf now…or I will have to take him and his office with me!

My teeth are hurting. Uh, a piece broke off of one. The north side of my molars have gotten mossy. But as a testament to how much I love and miss the gentle care of Dr. Urick, I haven’t been to a dentist since I moved away. Four years ago. Dr. Urick is one of those people you want to hug on the way out of every visit, even when there are fillings/broken crowns/root canals involved. Really. So kind! So gentle! So respectful of your comfort when you’re crossing your eyes in fear. His staff complements him beautifully, the hygienists dabbing at the stray fluoride on your cheek, offering you a comfy chair and the latest in devices of distraction when you’re pretty sure you’re not going to be able to bear whatever scary procedure you must undergo.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Urick for a very long time. I must admit I have always been scared of going to the dentist but with Dr. Urick he always makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. I love the fact that he is genuinely concerned about the health of your teeth. He’s great and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a caring dentist!

I love Dr. Urick.  He was recommended to me by a friend whose father is a dentist.  He is a great dentist and has all the latest equipment.  On top of being an excellent dentist, he is one of the nicest guys you will meet.  His staff is also great.  Brandy and Lindsay are such sweethearts.  Whenever I apologize for being fussy, he says “patient is always right.”  I moved to Palo Alto, but I refuse to change dentists.

I started going to Dr. Urick back in May when I decided that I’d better start going to the dentist again before my teeth started falling out. He started my first appointment with x-rays and took a close look at my teeth to develop a comprehensive treatment and maintenence plan. His friendliness put me at ease for what normally is a harrowing experience for anyone. Since I’ve always had cavities no matter how much I floss or brush, I wasn’t surprised when he said I had to come in for some fillings. I scheduled the appointment and came in ready for a horrible day listening to the whirring sound of a drill bit in my skull. But I was in for a treat! Dr. Urick has a dvd player with goggles and headphones! I put on the headgear and drifted away to Sarah Jessica Parker seducing Matthew Mcconaughey in Failure to Launch while Dr. Urick drilled away my tooth decay. Dr. Urick finished patching up my teeth faster than you can predict the ending of Failure to Launch, and before I knew it I was saying thank you with my numb left cheek and heading back to work. Dr. Urick is not the only shining star in this dental office; his associate Dr. Sourab is great as well, and the dental assistants and receptionists are all super friendly. I would recommend this practice to anyone.
