Not sure why Yelp says this office is closed, but it’s not. I found this dentist through zocdoc.com so I could find something close to where I work. I had not seen a dentist in about 5-6 years and had no major problems. Just never found a dentist once I moved to Chicago. This guy is great! He prides himself on being a “pain-free dentist”, and he definitely is. Had my very first cavity and having it filled was a breeze. He explains everything he is doing, and is very vocal/specific about what he needs you. Much better than my last dentist who never said much at all. He makes you very comfortable and is upbeat. His receptionist is super friendly, too. No complaints at all! I have a feeling he’ll be my dentist for a while.

I’ve gone to a children’s dentistry near my parents’ house all my life until I was told that it was time for me to find an adult dentist. I lived in Lakeview last year, so I found a dentistry (Homerun Dental) on Yelp and decided to give it a try because of the great reviews. Terrible mistake…that dentist almost made me get two healthy teeth drilled for NO reason and I would’ve had to pay out of pocket costs that my insurance didn’t cover. Fast forward to 6 months ago when I moved to South Loop and used Zocdoc to find a dentist near me. After meticulous research, I found Dr. Urkov’s office and decided to give him a try. He is the absolute sweetest dentist who says thank you after everything you do. His staff (Bonnie) is so sweet as well. He is also extremely transparent and knowledgeable, explaining everything he does to your teeth before actually doing them. My previous dentists always looked at my teeth for a few minutes before having their hygienists do most of the work, but Dr. Urkov does everything himself which I really appreciate. I HIGHLY recommend him if you’re looking for a new dentist in or near the Loop (seriously just check out Zocdoc reviews if you don’t believe me).

Dr. Urkov is the best dentist I’ve ever been to and that’s not just my opinion. When my daughter lived in Chicago, she was Dr. Urkov’s patient. To this day, she also maintains that he’s the best dentist she’s ever been too. He’s an expert with a very caring and gentle approach. He has all the tech a dentist could need. And the specialists he refers to are equally expert. Being his patient is like being in a super-exclusive club of dental experts.

Dr. Urkov is the absolute best! I have been seeing the same dentist for my entire life until I recently moved to downtown Chicago and needed to find a new dentist. He was incredibly thorough and explained what he was doing each step of the way. He showed me not only why my teeth looked healthy but what signs would be present if they were unhealthy. I will be going back to see him very soon for a consultation on a cosmetic procedure.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Urkov for many years and highly recommend him as a medical professional with a high level of expertise and a caring and committed attitude toward his patients. He clearly explains any needed or elective procedures and has an unwavering commitment to excellence. From the moment I phoned Bonny the very competent and friendly receptionist I knew I will be in good hands. Dr Urkov is a wonderful, kind, considerate and highly professional doctor. I live in Oakpark and it is soo worth driving there to get the best attention possible. Will recommend to all my friends!

Dr. Urkov and his team were absolutely wonderful. It had been a very long time since I had been to a dentist and Dr. Urkov made me feel very comfortable and not the slightest bit embarrassed. He did a very thorough cleaning with x-rays, and did an exceptional job explaining what he was doing, the results of my exam, and my x-rays. I really appreciate Dr. Urkov taking the time to educate me, answering my questions, and even getting to know me– this can be rare! I highly recommend Dr. Urkov and his team and will certainly be going back for my 6 month cleaning.

Dr. Urkov and his staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable. He takes his time with the examination and is always happy to answer any of my questions. The office is in a convenient location so you can easily make a morning or lunch-time appointment if you work in the Loop or surrounding area.
