All the reasons I recommend my family’s wonderful dentist, Jane C. Puskas, DMD: Great Personality: She’s friendly, sociable and kind. And she called to check on my child after he saw her. Great Credentials: Williams undergrad, Harvard dental school, award-winning, and she teaches and leads in the field. She even taught our amazing family endodontist (Melanie Burns, Atlanta Center for Endodontics). All this is to say she is smart as can be, up to date on the latest advances in dentistry, and has excellent judgment about how to resolve any dental issues. Great References: Two of my smartest, nicest friends recommended her to me. They as well as their children see her. Great Accessibility: When my child needed an emergency crown, Dr. Puskas and her staff bent over backwards to work him into their schedule, including an unexpected rescheduling to an even earlier date. Great Technology: She has CEREC Same Day Crowns – the latest technology for making crowns – and all in one visit! Here’s what we saw: * Using a special camera (not radiation), she creates a 3-D scan of the tooth and surrounding mouth. * Software analyzes shape, bite, etc., then creates a virtual tooth. You can watch this process on the screen; it’s pretty cool! * The crown is carved from a block using computerized, diamond-tipped drills. If you wish, you can watch. It takes about 15 minutes and is fascinating. * Dr. Puskas fine tunes the crown’s fit with you. * The crown bakes in a kiln at something like 1000 degrees for maybe 15 minutes. * The crown is bonded to your tooth and you are ready to go! Great Ethics: She doesn’t push unnecessary products or procedures, even though her office offers a wide range of the latest medical and cosmetic dental options. She also doesn’t poach dental patients (who may be seeing her for a one-time problem) from other dentists. Great Atmosphere: The office is pleasant, sunny, and there are snacks and drinks in the waiting room. Great Payment Process: The office will file your insurance for you instead of making you do it yourself. Five stars for Dr. Jane Puskas!

When I first moved to Atlanta I did a lot of research to find a new dentist — most of the places covered by my insurance had these really horrible reviews and so I avoided getting a cleaning for several years. Finally, my hometown dentist referred me to Dr. Refai and I am so grateful to have found both her and Dr. Puskas! They and their staff are professional, helpful, and kind. A year or so ago I needed my wisdom teeth taken out and I was really anxious about it, but Dr. Refai made the entire process stress-free and even personally called me later that night to check on me. I cannot recommend them enough!

I seriously could not put into enough words how incredible Dr. Puskas and Dr. Refai have been for me!!! I am beyond grateful I have found these true gems. For years I had a real dental phobia and avoided the dentist like the plague for various reasons, but heard about this place last year and knew I needed to finally face the fact that I needed some serious work done. Immediately I was treated wonderfully, made to feel comfortable, and taken under Dr. Puskas’ wings and true intellect as she created the most incredible crowns for my teeth – I’ve never gotten more compliments on my smile than I do now! Dr. Refai also took amazing care of me as well and even checked on me after hours multiple times to make sure I was okay after treatment!! Both are the most genuinely sweet and wonderful women with unmatched skills and professionalism. Thanks to both of them, my phobia has faded away and I am so much more confident as a whole. Can’t stop smiling over here!! I’d recommend them to every person on Earth!!

Dr. Puskas is incredible! She obviously has very impressive credentials, but I’m here to talk about the patient experience itself. It has truly been a JOY to go to my appointments, which is not what you usually hear from someone who has had to get work done on their teeth! Dr. Puskas makes her patients feel comfortable and is clear in her explanations of any issues going on, treatment options, and the patient’s responsibilities. It has been a relief to know I’m in the best possible care, and she treats us all like family. Go see her, and you will understand what I’m talking about!

Jane Puskas is the ultimate in dentists. I first met her shortly after she became a dentist decades ago; she worked at a dental clinic. Every time I went to the clinic, I asked for her, and the last time I called, I learned she had started her own practice, so I immediately changed to her practice. She has been my dentist and the dentist for my two daughters, now, for over twenty-five years. She’s kind, super-smart, humane, and incredibly caring. She really keeps track of my aging teeth, taking care of issues as they arise and helping me to stay on top of potential problems. She’s also very aware of financial constraints for folks, such as myself. I just cannot speak highly enough of Jane Puskas and her entire practice. She totally rocks!!!
