Let me start by saying two things: 1- I almost never write Yelp reviews and, when I do, it’s because it’s an establisment that had really gone above and beyond in some way. 2- In general, I have hated dentistry and the entire experience for a majority of my life. Because of a friend at work who is a patient at Dr. Azling’s office, I was able to break a 5 year or so streak of avoiding the dentist. The idea of going was so nerve wracking and terrifying that it seemed impossible to overcome. Tonight, writing this review, I am recovering from a procedure done on my third visit. Everyone on staff has been exceptional and has done a phenomenal job of easing my fear and dental anxiety. Dr. Azling himself called to check on me, after closing hours, and I really appreciated it. The facilities are clean and comfortable. They have TV available in each area, so I’m able to watch some game shows while they go to town on my mouth, and they have music available too if that’s what you prefer. The staff have all been professional, friendly, and accommodating. I don’t feel stupid asking questions, or for advice/clarification. I feel confident that whoever is working on me at the time is doing their very best to take care of me. As far as price goes, I can’t really give a fair assessment. I am on the PPO program, with pretty good insurance, but am on the first step of it due to not coming in over the years. I would guess that the prices are fair, though; I don’t feel like I’m being “taken to the cleaners” , despite the fact that they’re actually cleaning my mouth. Honestly, I can’t recommend this facility highly enough. It feels utterly bizarre to have my opinion so extremely flipped, but now I actually look forward to seeing everyone there instead of dreading the day I have to get work done on my teeth. If you’re on the fence, or looking for a new dentist, this is the place to go. Trust a stranger, if only just this once. Thank you, Dr. Azling, and the rest of the staff there who have made it possible for me to move forward in life with more health and confidence. And thanks, Susan, for the recommendation

Great staff, great atmosphere, and great results. The team at Dr. Azlings office were professional and hospitable from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted with a smile by every person I made eye contact with and even though I arrived an hour early, they accommodated me to help get me out early. They were very informative about my treatment, future options, and the insurance information. Although it is over an hour drive to get to this office, it is well worth the time. No pain, no worries, only a positive experience

I cannot say enough about how great the staff is along with Dr. Azling.  At 51 years old, I have had my fair share of dentist experiences, Dr. Azling is by far the most professional and caring leader of this wonderful group of hygienist and front office staff.  The quality of my care for both maintenance, special need (aka those unknown aches) and smile improvement is unmatched

Very pleased with the atmosphere and care my granddaughter received. This office puts the well-being of the patient first! Our granddaughter had sedation dentistry done today with Dr. Azling. She was very happy with the experience, she was never left alone, and all the work was completed! The experience relieved her fears and she is ready and willing to complete the rest of her treatment

I had my first visit here yesterday and it was fantastic! The front desk staff was friendly and my appointment was timely. Everything was clean. Amie helped me out first and even though I Hate x-rays she made it as comfortable as possible and helped me out. She really got to know me also and you can tell her and the other staff really care about the patients. Alex was my hygienist and she gave me so much education as to what was going on and some simple solutions to help me. Dr Azling also made some good recommendations and, unlike other dentists, didn’t pressure me into unnecessary procedures. Loved this place! Highly recommend

After catching myself sucking around the same two molars for quite some time, I realized it was surely time to see the dentist. My usual experience is HORROR, so please understand why I’ve spent the past couple of years neglecting my oral health. The last root canal I had performed at WESTERN DENTAL (Please never ever ever ever trust them with anything more than a cleaning and xrays!), resulted in a poorly fitted crown that fell within the first few days!!! Anywho…I’ll leave that story for a review on their business. Long story short, the entire process was THERAPEUTIC. I was given a pillow to ease my neck and a blanket to remain comfortable within the excellently air-conditioned space. I was also given headphones to listen to music. Whoo! No messy splattering during the drilling process. They anchor a splatter guard (I’m not sure what the technical term for it is), so no tooth particles, water, or slobber end up on/around your mouth. Dr. Azling has a gentle touch and is THE BEST at administering local anesthesia! He took a bit longer than any other dentist I’ve seen, but I could tell he was doing it in increments and was paying precise attention to where he was injecting. Not once did I feel pain/significant pressure! That is really important for me, since this is the FIRST time I left a dentist without feeling the urge to hurl (anxiety)…enough to make my mind up to sticking to this office FOR GOOD. I’ve had one root canal and two fillings done here. Today’s appointment was for my fillings. My root canal was performed last year and thanks to an amazing composite build-up, I can wait to save up for the permanent crown. If you are serious about your oral health, I recommend you visit this office. The staff is amazingly courteous, and genuinely sweet, despite a tragic half hour tardiness on my behalf (oops! It’ll never happen again!) Dr. Azling will help you to figure out a plan of attack and get  your mouth back in shape. Next week, periodontal cleaning. I have a minor case of gingivitis. Gah! DO NOT IGNORE YOUR MOUTH IF YOUR TEETH LOOK GREAT. I have always gotten compliments about my smile, but just because it looks healthy, doesn’t mean it is. Now GO! Make your appointment! What are you waiting for?! Also, if you can’t afford all your treatment, ask about CareCredit! They’ve got you 😉 P.S.- They gave me a complimentary water bottle upon leaving! I’ll update with photos later. You would never guess that such a nice office would lie within that business structure

I have been coming to Dr. Azlings office since his first year in practice.  I am always amazed at the personal touch I am given!  Today I saw Dawn for a routine cleaning.  She took the time to catch up with me and find out how I have been, not just the state of my teeth.  Asked about my overall health and about my family. Dawn was thorough and gentle.  I left the office with a million dollar smile! Dr. Azlings office is simply the best!

I have been a patient for 50 years at this office. (that tells a lot about a practice, the front desk and past dentist the standards have always been the highest)  To say they are all amazing is an understatement. From the state of the art equipment with all the knowledge of new treatment, they offer the BEST to all their patients. Lupe the assistant for Dr. Azling makes you feel special from the time she calls you to the back office. Dr. Azling is Just one of a kind. I recommend this office with all of my being, you will absolutely not be disappointed

Best dental office I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately, I had to switch dentists because of new insurance (I’m not happy about this!) I wish I can come back. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Kelly is awesome, she was always so nice and gentle through treatments. The front desk associates were pleasant every time I came in. I miss this place! 🙁

I was meaning to leave my prior dentist for years. It wasn’t that he was a bad dentist, it was that I just felt that there was something missing. He refused to do anything but “silver” fillings, and the office just felt like an 80s throwback. I finally took the initiative and switched to Jay M. Azling DDS & Associates. Wow…what a difference! Their radiographs (x-rays) are digital, whereas my prior dentist still used film. (Digital uses less radiation, I believe.) The team is a genuinely friendly set of people. From the first greeting to the final greeting everyone is smiling! What really clinches it for me is the level of detail they apply to their procedures. For example, they will swab a bit of Vaseline on the lips to keep them comfortable during a procedure. (Helps keep dryness under control.) The provide safety glasses during procedures. (Keeps debris from getting into the eyes…water, etc.) I could go on and one. I kick myself for not making this switch sooner!

I found Dr. Azling by calling 1800Dentists as I was looking for a local dentist. It was the best call I ever made! The front office ladies are warm, professional and efficient. The professional staff are caring, friendly and know their business. Dr. Azling is the ultimate professional. After my first visit, he actually called me at home that evening to see how I was doing. I never had a dentist do that kind of follow-up. I was sold that I had found a great dental office and after 8 years my opinion hasn’t changed. I also like the Christmas collection the office sponsors for under privileged children. My daughter has a fear of dentists and after hearing me rave about Dr. Azling, she made an appointment. She’s now a convert too and we tell all our family/friends about the office. You won’t go wrong booking an appointment!

I was afraid of the dentist, right down traumatized and now….I am happy to go to any and all my appointments! Dr. Azling is very courteous, friendly, professional, and very kind. All the staff from the ladies in reception to the xray technician, and the hygienists are amazing and efficient. I am partial to mine of course Kelly….she’s awesome! I can’t recommend this team enough, it’s a great experience from the moment I walk in. They take the time to know their patients and they care. I am so thankful to have found this office so many years ago and I still praise their work to this day. I think I have been going to their offices for at least 15 years and if I have had to go get special work including braces, they have referred me to good oral maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, and they are all covered by my insurance. Sure, sometimes there may be something that may not be covered but they work with me on that. I am truly happy to go to this practice and hope it’s around for a long time. I value their work, I like my smile, and I appreciate the people who work here. I could see myself actually being friends with many of them

Let me put it to you this way, I would  rather run a marathon than go to a dentist (mind you, that’s coming from a semi-couch potato). I absolutely detest it!! Finally, years of neglect has finally caught up with me,  my sister in law referred me to Dr. Azling. At the initial consultation, Dr. Azling (BTW , he’s Cutie!!) was upfront with me, explain the situation with my teeth and gums. He made me realize that there are consequences of not going to the dentist regularly and sometimes can even be life-threatening. Anyway, he caught my anxiety and nervousness. I dont like needles and that hook instrument they used to check your teeth with. I cringe at the sound of it scraping my tooth!!  He was patient with me. After coming here for almost 6 years now, I can now say that I can go to Dr.Azling without the anxiety. I love Kelly, my hygienist, their front office staff.  Everyone is so friendly and eager to help

I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Azling and his amazing staff to help with your dental needs. My family has been coming here for over 30 years and we have always had an amazing experience. They make you feel right and home and make sure you are absolutely comfortable during any procedure!

I am a dental specialist (endodontist) that went to school with Jay (Dr. Azling) at UCLA in the 80s.  I have to give him great kudos as I broke a tooth tonight and it is the ONLY tooth he did not work on for me back in the early 1990s.  Everything he did for me then has been great for the last 25 years, and still going strong, which is absolutely amazing longevity!!!.  I have about 50-75 dentists that refer to me in Arizona but I thought of Jay when this happened, and kind of had a personal “chuckle”, as I wish those referring dentists were nearly as good as Jay.  I may just have to fly out to California to have him fix this for me as well.  Believe me you cannot hope for a better dentist than Dr. Jay Azling.  Although I have not seen him for at least ten years I know I am still better golfer than he is!!!!

Was referred by a friend, after my dentist of over 20 years abandoned ship. If I could rate this office a 10 I would! Everything from the time I entered the door was 1st class service.  The lady that took all 100 pics of my teeth was very nice. The dental hygienist that counted my gum pockets and cleaned my teeth explained everything in detail. Finally, I saw Dr. Azling and he was GREAT, he gave me the good and bad of it all. I was kind of surprised with all the work I needed, since I’ve been a faithful dentist goer for over 20 years (every 3 months for cleaning). Anyways, my mouth is a pretty package outward, but the X-rays showed different. I’m so happy, my friend referred me to Dr. Amazing and his team of professionals.  I have extensive work to be done and I’m sure, I’m putting my beautiful smile in good hands

I left this office 9 years ago due to an insurance change and am tickled pink to be able to return to them with new insurance!!  How I missed the fantastic staff & Dr. Azling!!  When I was there this morning, I was cheerfully greeted by name, pampered with explanations of everything, a blanket, a Walkman to drown out the drilling noise, and and offer for post-procedure orange juice and yogurt.  Dr. Azling had to numb me up pretty good because the tooth was supplied by 3 nerves, and I swear I THINK I felt a teensy needle poke…maybe?  I’m such a wuss with pain that I ask for numbing gel on my gums whenever I have my teeth cleaned…..and getting anesthesia didn’t hurt at all!!  Okay, maybe the INITIAL poke, but even that was barely felt; Dr. Azling has the magic touch!!  I haven’t been here for a while, but I believe most of his staff have been there for a LONG TIME, and it’s no wonder—-the work atmosphere there is very positive!!  I’m not leaving anymore…..if insurance changes & I can’t come here, I’ll find a way to pay cash!!  =)  I can go on & on about how awesome this place is, but y’all will have to find out for yourselves.  You won’t be disappointed

My family and I have been coming to this practice since the early 1980’s, and we have referred countless friends and coworkers (who have then referred their friends, family, and coworkers). Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed coming to the dentist, and it’s because of the stellar care I have received here. Everyone I have interacted with has been professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the quality of dental care I have received has always been outstanding. Whether you are in for a cleaning or a filling, every step of the process is clearly explained, and the patient’s comfort is always a priority. Although I am terrified of needles, I have never been afraid of them here because the staff takes every precaution possible to ensure that I am comfortable while being numbed and throughout my treatment. Additionally, due to their attention to detail, I have been fortunate to have needed very few invasive procedures over my lifetime, and I have always been confident to smile and show off my teeth. My only hesitation with posting this review is that it will be even more difficult for me to schedule my future appointments, but Dr. Azling and his staff have always been so wonderful to my family, friends, and me that I couldn’t justify not sharing that with others

I have been a patient of Dr. Azling’s for over 20 years…. It’s hard to believe both of us are that old…. And even with all of my moves all over Southern California, I continue to drive to Cerritos and remain a patient.  The trust I have for Dr. Azling is unwavering. Chatting with the front office staff is a pleasure.  My cleanings are  completed efficiently using today’s technology.  What more could you ask for? It may be cliché to say I leave the dentist’s office with a smile, but it is the truth! Some people are petrified of the dentist.  Not me! Dare I say, I even look forward to it?!?! If your looking for a 1st class, pain free dental office, Dr Azling is the choice to make. His staff of friendly, competent and professional women are amazing. They go above and beyond to provide each patient with top notch customer service. It starts when you walk through the door. The front office ladies Diana and Catalina(there are others but these 2 stand out for me) greet you by your name. How cool is that. No sign in sheets, they know who you are and who your there to see. Diana organize your treatments in order of importance and is mindful of your budget and insurance.The hygienist are the best. They not only work on your teeth and gums, they educate you on how to keep them healthy. I got veneers on my front teeth a few months ago (which are spectacular) Dr Azling gave me flowers and thanked me. I was surprised. My husband had oral surgery done on 1 of his tooth. Around 8pm (after work hours)Dr Azling called him to see how he was doing. How thoughtful was that! If you are afraid of the dentist please contact them. Once your there all your fears will disappear. They work hard to make sure you don’t feel any pain during your procedure. My husband and I enjoy going to the dentist now. It’s like hanging out with friends

This is a great dentist office!  Everyone that works here, the receptionist, office manager, dental hygienists, and Dr. Azling are warm, welcoming and very professional.  They have tvs and headphones  for you to listen to and watch while you are having work done.  You can also get a blanket if you’re cold.  I had a temporary crown done and Dr. Azling called me at home to see how I was doing. I went back today and received these beautiful flowers and a thank you for being a long time patient. If you are in need of a dentist, give them a call

Dr. Azling and his staff should open a school and the main course being how to treat your patients. I have been seeing Dr. Azling for over ten years. Every appointment is like the first, with care, warmth, love and understanding. There are not enough STARS on this website to express my feelings for Dr. Azling and his staff.

OH MY GOD!!!! This team is the best I’v seen. I’m from Brazil and I thought I had a great dentist there until I met Dr. Azling and his wonderful team. I never liked to go to the dentist before but now me and my husband love the service we get. You get a great service by the time you walk in. Everyone smiles at you and they treat you like FAMILY! I had a major work done on my front teeth and I didn’t feel any pain at all!!! I was offered a blanket and some music to listen to while the work was being done. I was impressed! Dr. Azling has several staff members working with him and everyone you encounter treats you so well. It almost feels like I am at a spa every time I go to my dentist. From a basic cleaning to a major service, you will be treated with lot of care. No, I am not related to anyone in the office, I am just a super enthusiastic patient who loves the service I get every time I step in the office.
