Everything about “going to the dentist” screams stress and anxiety for me. Thinking of the sounds of the equipment alone makes me shiver. But DDS Gray’s office changed that. From the minute you walk through the door, the office exudes comfort;  the warm furnishings, the dentist’s calm manner and easily understandable explanations and the staff’s kindness.  I needed a lot of dental work and I had put it offf for a long time because I was fearful. DDS Gray broke my treatment down to reasonable chunks (both from a time perspective and a financial perspective).  On the day of my first “major work needed ” appointment, I arrived at 7am, got settled in the most comfortable chair, had a warm blanket put on me and listened to soothing music. When I awoke 5 hours later, I felt no pain and all my work had been done. I got an entire crown in one day along with a bunch of smaller procedures. Even after I got home, I felt amazing and DDS Gray called me to ensure I was doing ok. I foresee two additional days just like this in my future and I take comfort in knowing I will be well cared for with no pain and best of all no anxiety. Also, I had a small billing issue (mistakes can happen anywhere) and as soon as the staff was made aware, they figured it out, cleared it up and offered me a future service complimentary for my inconvenience without me even having to ask – truly I can’t say enough about the staff here!

I had old caps on my 2 front teeth and my front teeth were flaring with spaces.  I am 57 and my 2 front crowns were over 20 years old.  I wanted them replaced and the spaces removed without wearing braces again!  My previous dentist said I need braces to get rid of the space and if I didn’t get braces he showed me a mock-up that was horrifying, I did nothing for 2 years after that except put my hand to mouth when smiling.  I found Dr. Gray online and to make a long story short, my smile is now beautiful and I did not need braces.  The entire procedure was done in one visit and I left with temps that were beyond my wildest dreams, they are so NATURALLY lovely.  He did a root canal too, no pain and no sedation for me (my preference).  He is my dentist now and I have never felt more secure with a dentist.  He is almost too good to be true, a very kind professional man.  PS, I have the perms in now and am smiling all the time 🙂

If I could give Dr. Gray and his staff 10 stars, I would! I went in to get two porcelain veneers put on my side teeth and have a bottom tooth fixed.  I had been considering veneers for a few years, but was hesitant about spending the money and finding the right dentist.  From the minute I walked into the office, I felt welcomed and confident that I came to the right place.  The staff and dental assistants were all very thorough in explaining the process.  Dr. Gray and his team were perfectionists, as am I, and took great pride in their work.  They genuinely cared about making sure I was 100% happy with the results.  On numerous occasions, Dr. Gray took time out of his busy schedule to call just to check in on me.   Needless to say, I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and can’t stop smiling! I have been a delighted customer of Dr. Gray for over 30 years. I absolutely love the care and compassion that takes place not only every office visit but with fun activities he invites his patients to celebrate. I eagerly anticipate my bi-annual well check ups and teeth cleaning. I intentionally scheduling them right before my June birthday and Christmas knowing Patsy will send me away with a brighter smile for the celebrations. I sincerely appreciate every detail they take to make the experience not only a healthy benefit, plush comfort, royal treatment, but a wonderful time to catch up on all the wonderful things Dr. Gray is doing outside his practice to benefit our community. Dr. Gray is a good example of a good example, his actions inspire me to be a better person and to dig down deep to see what I can do to help others. Dr. Gray gives the La Mesa Community reasons to be Proud! Thanks for all the many things you do and are for me and countless others Dr. Gray and Staff!

I have been a happy healthy client for over a decade. The staff is wonderful! When I moved out of the area I tried another dentist once. It was an awful experience and I went running back to Dr. Gray & Patsy. The office is beautiful and tastefully decorated and offers refreshments while you wait. However, I have never waited more than a few minutes to be seen. I had my Invisalign done here years ago and that worked out very well too. I would not trust my mouth with any other dental office!

I should start off stating I am extremely terrified of the dentist. Irrational fear of sorts. I found Dr. Greys office online once I heard of sedation dentistry. I booked an appointment immediately. I knew going in it was going to be expensive even with my PPO plan. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years and had quite a few of cavities. The consultation went great, from the friendly staff to Dr. Hurtado being very kind and knowledgeable. It is true you get what you pay for. They are willing to work with people with payment which is what made me so grateful. My credit is terrible and they still gave me the opportunity to get the care I deserve instead of having to go to a cheaper dentist. The day of my consult I was given some Valium for the night before and I really didn’t think it would help my nerves the day of my procedure but it did! I was more nervous for the initial consult to be honest. The doctor even wrote me a little note that came in the mail after the consult. Day of my appointment, I arrived at 7:30am and I was promptly taken back to the room. They are just so kind and really have such a great atmosphere. They gave me some disgusting tasting crushed up pill and apple juice and got me all set to lay down to go to sleep. Got me all comfy with blankets and put relaxing music in headphones. About 20 minutes later they checked on me and realized I was still awake so I got another dose and literally after that, I don’t remember much. I faintly remember Dr. Hurtado give me novacaine and I remember coming in and out hearing some drilling (which is why I’m always terrified). A few hours later, my hubby picked me up and the amazing doctor wheeled me out to my car. I came home and literally fell asleep from 11am to 3:30. Dr. Hurtado called me later on that evening to check on how I was doing. I have never felt so taken care of by any doctors office period. It’s true when they say you get what you pay for. Yes, it’s a little bit pricier than some dentists in the city, but they do amazing work and actually care. I will gladly pay more to know this practice has been top five in the nation for years now. They deserve it! Extremely friendly and caring staff. . I am so scared of dentists and this entire practice made me so comfortable. I recommend them to anyone who has severe anxiety when it comes to dentists or anyone in general! They are amazing!

How can you say you love going to the dentist?  You can if Dr. Gray’s your dentist!   I recently started a sequence of Invisalign trays and I was so pleased with the service from Dr. Gray and his entire staff.  Yes, it is spa like, but I can always go to a spa.  But even the best spa won’t fix crooked teeth!  At a recent dinner, my friend said, “I’m going to miss that little snaggle tooth smile!”  Not me!  I’m looking forward to the new smile that I’m getting from this wonderful dentist and his fabulous staff.

They call Disneyland the happiest place on earth but believe it or not the dentist office of Dr Jeff Gray is right there with Disneyland. Yes, i know that it is hard to believe with it being the much feared  dental office but it really is true. My husband has had dental problems all his life and therefore gone to a lot of dentist searching for the perfect one and has now found him. He saw both Dr Zermeno and Dr Gray and found them both excellent. Dr Gray ended up doing the work on his teeth giving him a beautiful set of upper teeth that work superb and gave him back his gorgeous smile. Everything was done in one day and with adverse side effects. Dr Gray called that evening to check on how my husband felt. We went back the next day for a quick check to see that everything was doing well. Dr Gray and his entire staff are of the highest caliber I have ever since in any company. Every time you walk in the office you fell a positive energy and heaps of happiness. If the staff is happy you know something is very good there. It is truly the happiest place on earth. The office of Dr Jeff Gray will always be our dental office of choice.

I have been with Dr. Gray for over 10+ years and I absolutely love him and his staff! I’ve never liked going to the dentist as I had some pretty terrible experiences. But once I found Dr. Gray I’m happy to say that I don’t get that doom and gloom feeling when I have to make a dental appointment. In fact, he’s not in my network of approved dentists, but I’m willing to pay the extra fees/costs because they have always made me feel comfortable, taken care of, and in great hands! An extra special touch is that Dr. Gray personally calls you after any major treatments. I had a crown put in a few years ago and I received a call from him that evening. He wanted to make sure I was doing ok. Dr. Gray and his assistants are kind, warm and professional. Office environment is very inviting and relaxing. The office staff are very friendly and organized as well. And when you’re “in the chair” they provide you with entertainment on the flat screened tv’s. They even have a “calm room” where you can relax in the massage chair while you wait for your appointment. Definitely recommend Dr. Gray. You won’t be disappointed.
