It is a pleasure to write a review of Dr Jeffrey Cohen. My family have been patients for over ten years and I have gotten to know Dr Cohen very well. Simply the best! Dr Jeffrey Cohen is a true gem, referred by our terrific dentist. He has taken care of both of our children (5 years apart) and even diagnosed our daughter with an issue completely unrelated to orthodonture before we could go to the pediatrician. He is kind, compassionate, and incredibly talented. Dr Cohen even offered to come in at 8am on a Sunday when our son lost his retainer and came home for 24 hours from camp. His entire staff is incredible and Tiffany takes care of everyone (including the parents!) with genuine warmth and compassion.

Our kids have been here for 5 years and are on track for perfect teeth. Luckily Dr. Cohen caught an issue with my daughter’s jaw development early on and put in place a plan to fix it over time, thus avoiding serious surgery down the road. I hated going to the orthodontist when I was a kid, but mine haven’t complained once. Dr. Cohen puts them at ease with a cool personality, and the staff is welcoming and professional. Kelly was so helpful and friendly: scheduled us for next day appointment, gave us directions – including helpful landmarks and where to park, clear instructions on forms to fill out and promptly sent them. I went to see Dr. Cohen for a consultation about correcting some crowding I was having with my bottom teeth. He was honest and didn’t push me into anything but helped me to understand that it was a good idea to correct the problem – not only from a cosmetic standpoint, but also because that kind of issue could cause problems later on with overall mouth health. We agreed on using Invisalign to correct my issue and the process was so easy and non-invasive to my lifestyle! The entire treatment plan was under 12 months from start to completion. I visited the office regularly for check ups of my progress, and I never (ever) had to wait – I always got in and out for my appointments quickly and efficiently. Tiffany (who manages the office) was always welcoming and pleasant and I actually looked forward to my visits! I would definitely recommend Dr. Cohen if you are thinking about choosing an orthodontist – the entire office staff is pleasant, my experience was super-positive and my results were as expected.

I have been taking my two kids to Dr. Cohen for years. Dr. Cohen has lots of patience, very kind and makes you feel exceptional. Both kids needed braces, and got them with excellent explanation, gentle hands, professional and knowledge from Dr. Cohen. After braces, the kids are using their retainer and it is a pleasure to still go to Dr. Cohen the perfectionist. We love the atmosphere in the waiting room and the colorful, cheerful chairs for the patients. It is a very specious open room, and Dr. Cohen has stunning sports memorabilia. When you enter the office you are greeted by Tiffany, who is awesome and handles the front desk. She is amazing, helpful, she is professional, special lady and very friendly always helpful with appointment schedule and makes sure everything runs smoothly. The Quality of service is AMAZING. Dr. Cohen is not just for kids. I am 69. When one of my teeth moved a little bit, my dentist referred me to Dr. Cohen, who suggested I wear a retainer most nights to prevent the kind of tooth migration that can happen in older people. (I had seen such changes in my 99-year-old mother-in-law’s mouth.) After biting on a mold, I had the retainer in a just few days. I wore it every night and noticed it so little that occasionally I would leave home in the morning with it still in my mouth! But, then I lost the retaineer a few months later. Oops. I went back to Dr. Cohen’s friendly and efficient office, but this time he imaged my mouth will a very high-tech device, sent the digital file to the laboratory, and provided me with four even more closely fitting copies in just a week. And, if I go through all four, I can get more based on the digital file. Cohen is thoughtful and extraordinarily competent. He listens well, never rushes, answers questions respectfully, shows real caring for his patients, and of course is technically tops. He is the best!

Braces have never been so easy. Over the years, Dr. Cohen has done such incredible work on my daughters’ teeth, I even decided to get invisalign. I was introduced to Dr. Cohen February, 2014 with a very complex diagnosis as a result of oral trauma. As a mother of two now teenage boys, I was well aware of the breadth of care and expertise an orthodontist needs to care for both children and adults. At my first appointment Dr. Cohen had an emergency with a young child who had been in an accident; clearly traumatic to the child and parent. His gracious staff was concerned with the delay I may have to endure. Rather I was completely endeared to this practice for the “above standard” care that both this child and I later received. I frankly felt privileged to see a caring professional in action. My own circumstance was no picnic for this practice and their care for me was equally as extraordinary as of what I witnessed with this particular child. I wish I had known Dr. Cohen when my own children received their orthodontic care, I know in hindsight this would have been a god-send to our family. Dr. Cohen’s office is beautifully conceived with separate areas for children and adults. Every member of Dr. Cohen’s staff was amazing and patient with me. I still smile of thinking of the amazing care his assistant Phyllis gave me, and Tiffany is (yes beautiful, its Beverly Hills) but the most intelligent, grounded and hard-working office manager I’ve ever encountered. Dr. Cohen is a highly intellectual, caring and elegant man who is not out to “sell” anyone (parent or adult alike) on his expertise. He is a professional who will make one of life’s often most arduous experiences peaceful and endurable. EVERY PARENT should be lining up at his door to entrust their children’s orthodontics to him (I had many of visits, ergo had opportunities to converse with very happy parents), and if you are an adult patient you will be SO grateful by the privacy of this practice, and with not feeling like you’ve landed in a Gymboraee for your personal adult care. It’s a class act all around. (Dr. Cohen’s practice is easily accessible, in the heart of Beverly Hills, and insurance friendly.)

I’m the mother of two sons, both who have been patients of Dr. Cohen. As my kids might say, he is the G.O.A.T.! Exceptionally good orthodontist–he is thoughtful, patient, and his work is a cut above the rest. Maybe several cuts. He has a truly amazing ability to connect with people–young and old. If you (or your kid) has a problem, he is available. (Once I called him on his cel phone on a Saturday and he came to the office to deal with my son’s problem.) The office is beautiful and, best of well, professionally run. Everyone who works at Dr. Cohen’s office is warm, kind, and professional. It’s true, he is more expensive than other orthos, but he offers payment plan options that make his services available to most. If I could give Dr. Cohen 10 starts, I would!

Our family can’t recommend Dr. Cohen and his team more highly. In my opinion, Dr. Cohen takes a conservative, child-focused approach which gets results and never rushes the process. If it is not necessary, he doesn’t recommend it. In searching for our family’s orthodontist (we have four kids) we met with three separate doctors. The approach each orthodontist recommended was completely different. One wanted to give her an unnecessary expander to widen her upper jaw, the second wanted to put on braces immediately (at about age 8) then do another round of braces at 12 or 13 (again, not necessary). Dr. Cohen didn’t recommend anything for her at that point other than tooth extractions at an oral surgeon to address her extreme crowding, plus check-ins every 6 months to monitor her teeth. He didn’t charge for the check-ins and just this year (after years of free monitoring) he put braces on her. Our other daughter and son see him now as well. He’s honest, skilled, kind and has a wonderful support team that takes great pride in their work.

My older son had multiple problems that took years to treat. Now, at 17, he has a perfect, dazzling smile. Jeff was always conservative and thoughtful about intervention. He has an excellent rapport and with both my kids and a gentle manner that puts them at ease. The office is very professionally run.
