My three adult children and myself love this dental practice. Everyone is professional and have high standards in regards to all dental care. They deserve a triple A+  in patient care. You never stop wanting the best for your children no matter how old they get. Those of us over 65 yrs need that extra care so we can keep enjoying crunchy apples.

Hands down the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a dental office. Every single person I interacted with was kind and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Not to mention they are very upfront with you about costs and won’t do anything without your consent. I am so glad I found this place

Just moved to Santa Barbara and after a run-in with a toffee candy and my crown, the crown lost, I called Dr. Jeffrey Stratford-Jones’ office and they fit me in quickly, even as a new patient. Dr. Jones is very professional, gentle (as is his staff) and I can tell he knows his stuff. They made my unpleasant circumstances pleasant.

I’ve been a regular patient of Dr. Stratford-Jones for the past several years and have had nothing but great experiences working with him and his team. From regular cleanings and exams to fillings and a couple of crowns, the service has been great and professional and I always feel like I’m being well taken care of by qualified professionals. I would also like to add that my entire family goes to Dr. Stratford-Jones and we are all completely satisfied.We have no reason to go anywhere else. I will admit there was a lady at the front desk who seemed rather bitter but that was quite some time ago and I believe she has been let go. In my opinion, this one person does not reflect the quality of the care I have received, nor the competence of Dr. Stratford-Jones and his team. I also know that Dr. Stratford-Jones and his team are making a strong effort to solicit feedback from their patients in an attempt to improve customer service. This is an ongoing process and they are doing a great job. Finally, my family and I are very satisfied with Dr. Stratford-Jones and his team. I think any negative reviews posted here on Yelp are from a few sour grapes, which exist in any business, and the reality of the situation is that this is a great dental office with caring and qualified professionals.

Our family has been with Dr Jones for over 20 years. Going to the dentist is never a fun experience. But with Dr. Stratford-Jones, we really get the best dental care possible. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and experienced. And Dr. Jones is really the as good as it gets. He never pushes his opinion, but counsels and explains clearly so I get to make the best (guided) decision for my own mouth. His work is gentle and precise. I have even now convinced my Mom to come see him, because he is just that good.

After a horrible previous experience at another dentist office, this was a breathe of fresh air. I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist. They keep their office very clean and tidy and comfortable. I felt very taken care of and made a priority. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful and smart. The cleaning was gentle, I’m used to a little more intensive cleanings but I think they took care of what I needed.

I’ve reviewed this office before. But they deserve a revisit. Because dentists give me the heebie-jeebies. You really have to twist my arm to get me in a chair. However From the front desk to the hygenists to the dentists, the team at this office orients themselves around the patient’s experience and overall dental health. They never try to upsell me some product I don’t need. They never make me feel bad about the fact that I DON’T ALWAYS (EVER) FLOSS. (Last time, the hygienist was like, ‘so, you might want a hydro-floss thing. I think Costco has them.’ And I was like. ‘Yeah.’ Full stop. ‘Not, hey guess what, your teeth suck.’ Because what mother-of-three has time to floss?) The atmosphere at Stratford-Jones is positive, affirming, and knowledgeable. I’ve been ripped off by a lot of dentists in the past. This office has never recommended a treatment I don’t need; they always explain what they’re doing as they’re doing it; they never make me feel bad about my teeth. Really, that’s all we need.

I have been experiencing pain and (what I thought was) swollen gums for a few days. Not wanting to ignore a potentially serious situation, I finally decided to call, only to find out that patients are not seen on Fridays. I left a message on the phone number provided for emergencies, and very quickly received a call back from Lori. She was so sweet and asked me a few questions to relay. As luck would have it, Dr. Stratford-Jones was planning to come to the office briefly and offered to see me. I eagerly accepted, although felt a bit guilty for crashing his day off. 😉 Dr. Stratford-Jones was so kind and was very gentle in his exam. I did not feel rushed in the slightest; he was very thorough and took his time explaining that I actually have jawbone overgrowth. I haven’t been to the dentist in ages, mostly out of laziness and lack of time. I was expecting a bit of a scolding for being so neglectful, but Dr. Stratford-Jones did nothing of the sort. I am so grateful to have been seen so quickly. Thank you, Dr. Stratford-Jones!

These guys are awesome. Just had an appointment for a couple fillings and it was easily the best dentist’s office experience that I’ve had. Everybody is friendly and professional and looking to answer any questions you might have. Would recommend to anybody looking for a good, reliable dentist.

This was my first time here as a new patient and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. Kind and warm yet everyone took the time to explain to me very thoroughly what they were doing and what they were finding via x-Rays, exam etc. I feel so very confident that this my new dentist for myself and my family. Thank you so much to my dental care team.

Excellent. I found this place on Yelp and I was not disappointed. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I didn’t spend more than a minute in the waiting room both times I was there. My cleaning was thorough, and my other oral procedures went smoothly. I left in a good mood–feeling more educated on my dental health.

I love this place! I feel at ease with the level of care I receive. I had an older filling pop out (it was on the outside side of my bottom molar, near the gums) and noticed it’s disappearance when I drank water and felt sensitivity on my molar. After peering into the mirror as much as I could, I noticed a giant chunk of tooth missing! I called Dr. Stratford-Jones’ office and asked for a cancellation to get my molar looked at. They happened to have a same day appointment that they booked for me. I was told that they would look at my molar and see if it could be fixed right then. Upon arriving at the dentist’s office, Dr. Stratford-Jones and his colleagues were able to clean up and re-fill my molar! As always, stellar customer service.

I’ve been going to Dr. Stratford-Jones for 16 years. In the whole 16 years, I have had nothing but great experiences there and would totally recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. The only “gripe” is the limited parking. You just have to go at a good time… usually early AM. However, thanks to COVID, I’ve been able to find easy parking.. but I know this will change once everything is back to “normal”.

His assistants are also most excellently trained. I have never felt forgiven a good review of a dentist office. Dr. Stratford Jones and Dr. Daniela are amazing!

This is the most thorough dental exam I have ever had. Dr. Stratford-Jones explained in details all of the issues of my teeth and gave solutions. The hygiene technician, Connie if I spell it correctly, worked very carefully to clean up some stains on my teeth. At some points I guess she fully focused on cleaning the teeth and forgot to suck the water in my mouth, let some of the water run out to my neck :).

Just had my first visit here and am very pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. The steps they are taking for COVID safety were explained when I scheduled the appointment, I received reminder texts prior to the appointment which I appreciated. I do experience some anxiety when going for a cleaning but found some relief as all the steps of the appointment were explained to me before anything happened. I am happy to have found a dental office I finally feel comfortable at!

Dr Jeff Stratford-Jones was very professional – I got a groupon to get an Invisiline consultation – it turns out that I have a more complicated case, Dr Stratford Jones referred me to someone else – he was very honest and straightforward. I was impressed. The front desk girl was a bit of pain to ask for all info before I showed up – (I tried to put all info into the website but somehow the website wasn’t taking it) – when I got to the dentist’s office, it was a good experience.

Everyone that works here is super friendly. The Doc is very good at what he does.  I cracked a tooth last night and due to my traveling schedule ahead of me, they were able to get me in the next day (today) and I’ll be back next week to get the official crown put in. For years, I’d go to ‘Johnson Family Dental’ in La Cumbre but that place could never tell me exactly how much a procedure was going to cost me.  The staff at Dr Stratford-Jones is nearly always able to tell me exactly how much the bill will be before I get the work done. And the Doc always seems to provide multiple options, one that will cost a little, and one that is optimal but will cost more.  If there are options, the patient should always get to choose, and ‘Johnson Family Dental’ never gave those less expensive options.
I definitely recommend these guys.

Dr. Jeffrey Stratford-Jones is the place to go for your dental care and needs.  Dr. Stratford-Jones and his dental team are knowledgeable, gentle, take extra care in explaining why and what’s being done.  Even Laurie with the treatment plans is great!  The doc and staff are capable in solving what might be a challenge for others.  For example, I had a crown put on 12 years ago out of state.  That restorative dentist had a hard time with placement due to my small back teeth.  I move to Santa Barbara, crown pops off, since crown chipped I need a new crown.  I was terrified due to last doc’s hard time and experience.  I’m a new patient for Dr. Stratford-Jones and his team.  Yes, Dr. Stratford-Jones needed to do a little extra work on my back tooth but not a problem!  He knew just what to do and was gentle and accurate in getting the crown on to completion.  I’m so thankful, grateful and glad I chose this office for my dental care.
