I haven’t been to a dentist in a long time and it is partly because I have had a couple of bad experiences with previous dentists and also because I have neglected taking better care of my oral hygiene. I waited to the very last second to see a dentist but  eventually made an appointment because of minor discomfort in my mouth. It was my first time at Dr Yamashiro’s office and I was happily greeted by the receptionist. The office is small but I didn’t have to wait long and was immediately in the care of Dr. Yamashiro’s assistant who was not only very professional but also very considerate of my needs to feel comfortable and relaxed as she took x-rays. Dr Yamashiro got right to the problem with my discomfort and offered solutions to help me change my daily habits to prevent problems like mine from occurring again. Although nothing serious was wrong, Dr. Yamashiro cleaned my teeth in an efficient and timely matter. I was very nervous at the beginning but his skill and delicate touch and adjustments to make sure I was also comfortable really eased my stress. He fixed a chipped tooth that was missing for awhile now and it looks like nothing ever happened and I am happy how it looks and feels. I was in and out in a very short time and did not have to wait long for the entire visit. I look forward to coming back in 6 months.

I had found Dr. Yamashiro through my Dental Insurance and wanted to get some consultation on my Teeth. Glad i came to him. He is very professional and so detailed with every tooth. Dr. Yamashiro explained alternatives to solve pain. I love his office staff as well, all are so nice and professional. I would recommend to anyone new or looking for a new Dentist.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Yamashiro for as long as I can remember. It’s hard to say you enjoy going to the dentist no matter who it is, but you can almost say that for Dr. Yamashiro. The ladies are all very sweet and remember my name, and visits are a breeze with little waiting. He is super polite at all times, even saying “open, please. close, please” during examinations. He always makes a point to be very personable in remembering what I am up to with school and life(in a polite, not creepy way). Overall the experience at Dr. Yamashiro’s office is so much better than any dentist/doctor I’ve experienced and I’d highly recommend him. Unless it’s changed, he also has a game room for kids which was SO much fun for me when I was little. I remember there being an old nintendo console and books. Great for kids.

I have had a lot of dentists as my career has taken me around the country and Dr. Yamashiro is one of the very best. He is very careful and very considerate. He is kind and thoughtful. He explains what he is going to do before he does it which eases any stress you may have. He personally cleans your teeth and never causes me any pain. I like the fact that I know that he is thoroughly examining my teeth as he cleans them. He will work with you to help deal with insurance and billing issues, and help with the timing of your visits to make sure that you can get the most benefit from your dental insurance. If he can’t do the work he will refer you to an excellent healthcare provider. For instance, he referred me to the best specialist for root canal that I have ever had, and I have had a few to compare to. I highly recommend Dr. Yamashiro. He is an excellent dentist.

I left my previous dentist after a very bad and painful crown procedure that was placed incorrectly twice. I decided to see Dr. Yamashiro because of high ratings and it was the best decision I could have made. He replaced the crown with zero pain. He’s very gentle and patient. His staff is extremely nice and very professional which makes the visits even better.
