I really appreciate this dentist practice and have been going here for years. Doctor Hwang and his team have been so great. They are hospitable and so professional. The facility is very clean and just underwent a remodel. There is great parking right in front of the office for convenience. I would recommend this dental office to all.

Unlike most people, I actually like going to the dentist, but Dr. Hwang and his entire team have been the most skilled and caring office I’ve been to thus far. His front office staff are very friendly (not to mention very efficient/knowledgeable about getting insurance info). The hygienists are very gentle about making my teeth squeaky clean. As for Dr. Hwang, I know that he has my best interest at heart. He always takes the time to really explain what he’s doing, and if I have an issue, he carefully outlines all the options I have. I feel like he really cares for my dental health (as opposed to trying to push procedures on me). All in all, love the folks at Aspire!

I’ve had Dr. Hwang take care of root canal and filling work, and he and his staff have do a great job of making sure I’m comfortable and informed. The office staff are reliably on top of things with appointment reminders. When I had a filling fall out, I was even able to check in with Dr. Hwang via his Google Voice account, which he keeps a close eye on.

I’ve never had a dentist pay such attention to detail. Dr. Hwang is a perfectionist. His bedside manner is amazing as well and it feels like he truly cares for his patients. Dr. Hwang was my dentist for years. He has a knack for explaining all things dental-related in an easy to understand and patient manner. I’m really impressed by the quality work he’s done for me. I have one story that highlights how Dr. Hwang goes above and beyond for his patients. There was one appointment I went to during the middle of the workday so I didn’t have much time before I had to return to the office. The hygienist who was supposed to do my cleaning fell ill and had to go home. Instead of having me wait, Dr. Hwang did all of the cleaning himself and he did this during an especially busy day too! I’ve never left an appointment with him disappointed.

I’ve always been terrified of going to the dentist but was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Hwang! He is super professional, caring, and really takes his time to explain all the details and to answer any questions about the procedures. The appointments never felt rushed and there is this genuine feeling that he cares and wants whats best for your specific dental needs. Dr. Hwang also makes an effort to help his patients feel as comfortable as possible and I can say with all the dental procedures I needed, I never felt one bit of discomfort. Going to the dentist is never anything I look forward to but the staff at Aspire Dental has changed that! Dr Hwang takes the time to explain everything he will be doing and makes sure all of your questions are answered. He is very personable and easy to talk to. Jill, one of the hygienists there, does a very thorough cleaning and has lots of good info. Julie, the office manager always greets you with a smile and has a great sense of humor that helps put you at ease if you are stressed about being in a dentist’s office. I already have my next 6 month appt. scheduled. If you are looking for a new dentist Dr Hwang and staff are definitely worth checking out!

I recently moved to Seattle and needed a dentist to give me a root canal. Dr. Jesse Hwang was very nice and helpful, and throughout the entire process let me know what he was doing which definitely helped the anxiety I used to have when going to the dentist. His staff are also very sweet, and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible at all times. His service was excellent, and my procedure was smooth and painless. I have always harbored a dread of going to the dentist- having required much dental care in my youth due to carious teeth and need for orthodonture combined with my fear of needles and panic at the sight of white coats. My fear was only slightly mitigated by my own sister becoming a dentist. When I moved to Seattle in 1989, I found Dr George Knutzen by referral who had a practiced dentistry in the University District until his recent retirement and who became my personal saint- having cured me of my dentist phobia and saved multiple teeth by his professional expertise, and general good humor – When ‘Saint George’ mentioned his upcoming retirement and the handoff of his practice to Dr Jesse Hwang, who despite the high accolades from Dr Knutzen and his wonderful staff that remained, I panicked at the thought of revisiting my old fears. I saw Dr Hwang yesterday for an extended visit required for a much needed crown replacement I had been putting off despite Dr Knutzens urging. My initial nerves were quickly calmed by Dr Hwangs gentle and highly professional demeanor. He worked efficiently and expertly on diagnostic and skilled repair of my tooth and I have never had a less painful Novocaine injection in my life ( sorry Dr Knutzen); he explained what he was doing during the procedure and stopped during its course to ensure I was pain-free and comfortable. Of course the staff in the office including Julie the outstandingly efficient and personable Office Manager, Jill and Saradel the expert hygienists And Sarah the hygienist assistant remain- as a collective are warm people and an wonderful team. I believe I’ve found an outstanding dentist in Dr Hwang who will see me through my lifetime with excellent dental care delivered in the most professional and skilled manner-Dr Hwang is a Gem!! It may be too soon to tell but sainthood might not be too far off!

Dr. Hwang is extremely professional and has a very pleasant demeanor. He really cares about the health of your teeth and prefers to monitor their health over time, believing that oral care can help solve some of the more minor problems vs filling every tiny thing and charging you an arm and a leg. Highly recommend. After working my way through a couple duds while trying to find a new dentist, I was so relieved to be referred by a friend to Dr. Hwang. He’s meticulous, gentle, and the epitome of professional. He works seamlessly with his assistant, and has excellent bedside manner. I wore braces as a child, but my teeth have moved considerably since then. When I expressed interest in exploring options to correct the problem, Dr. Hwang was very patient, answered all my questions, and gave me his full attention without pressuring me to make any decisions on the spot. I’ve had many cavities in the past and knew that with my genetics I needed to find someone who was going to be thoughtful and thorough about my dental care. I’m happy to say that in subsequent visits I’ve had no complaints and continue to be impressed by Dr. Hwang.

I love going to Dr. Hwang! Some dentists will let their hygienist do the bulk of the work, only popping in to give you a cursory look. Not with Dr. Hwang – he is very thorough and invested in your dental health. I feel like he actually cares about my teeth, and my comfort during the visit. His chair-side manner is impeccable… it’s the little things like offering you sunglasses so you’re not squinting into the light during a filling, or his assistant applying chapstick before a cleaning. Yay! Had a great experience with Dr. Hwang and his staff. Nothing felt rushed, and I really appreciated how Dr. Hwang explained to me what he was doing (versus other dentists who sometimes just dive right in). My procedure was painless and Dr. Hwang even followed up with me after I had gotten home, so I feel like if I felt anything off I’d be able to get it addressed. Logistically, everything seemed fine and I didn’t encounter any problems!

We would be happy to speak with your insurance company and find out for you. Dr. Jesse Hwang is an enthusiastic and engaging general and cosmetic dentist. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Abram Cohen Award in Periodontics. After graduating at the top of his class, he completed his residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center in Brooklyn, NY, where he worked closely alongside oral-maxillofacial surgeons and many dental specialists on cases involving head and neck trauma, facial plastic surgery, anesthesia and sedation, dental implants, and TMJ. He then served a second year as Chief Resident in the Department of Dental Medicine. This additional year of training allowed Dr. Hwang to further his knowledge and experience in surgical and restorative dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation cases including crown, bridge, and veneer restorations, root canals, complex extractions, and cosmetic dentistry. Following residency, he lived and worked in Manhattan for five years before moving to Seattle. Dr. Hwang has earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, where dentists must take more than 500 hours of continuing education courses in various disciplines and pass a rigorous six hour exam. This distinction is achieved by less than 5% of dentists in the United States and Canada. Dr. Hwang’s warm chair-side manner and communicative style allow him to provide comfortable, quality, and ethical dental care. Outside of Aspire Dental, Dr. Hwang enjoys cooking, playing volleyball, reading, traveling, and exploring the great Pacific Northwest with his wonderful wife and young son and daughter.
