I am not sure if I am doing this correctly. I am posting two reviews. One is recent (1/15/2022) and one is a review from about a year or so ago. This is my most recent review dated 1/15/2022: Dr. Skoumal took over Dr. Berley’s practice about 2 years ago. I’m extremely happy with Dr. Skoumal. Dr Skoumal is an excellent dentist, very thorough, very professional, and very knowledgeable. Two years ago he was able to quickly handle a tooth infection from which I could have easily lost two molars. He made sure I got an immediate appointment that day, within an hour, with Dr. Vince Penesis at Oakbrook Endodontic Associates. Both of them were able to coordinate the dental care I needed to correct my problems without the loss of any teeth. I can’t thank either one of them enough. I plan to continue to be a patient of Dr. Skoumal. Also the night guard he suggested seems to be working just fine. In fact, I seem to be sleeping soundly through the night ever since he had one made for me. I have been using it since 12/30/2021. _____________________________________ This is what I wrote a year ago: I had been a patient at Dr. Berley’s office for many many years. When Dr. Berley retired well over a year ago, Dr. Skoumal took over the practice . I have always enjoyed the office staff there (especially Pam, Diane, and Barb (who is now retired)). They treat me like family. I’m extremely happy with Dr. Skoumal and am glad he kept the same staff. Dr Skoumal is an excellent dentist, very thorough, professional. He was able to handle a tooth infection which had developed between visits. I plan to remain with him.

I was able to schedule a same-day appointment with Dr. Skoumal. He was able to fix my chipped tooth which was giving me so much discomfort and he did a great job. The front desk receptionist was very kind and understanding, which put my mind at ease. Thanks Dr. Skoumal and staff!

Was surprised to have been seen within a day as a new patient. Received a call within the hour of having made appointment to confirm. Friendly staff, clear review and communication on the issue I requested the visit for (broken molar), clear plan for follow up was given to me in print with full disclosure on anticipated cost.

I’ve been going to Dr. Skoumal for a few years, and I think he is a great dentist. Although it’s certainly not something I enjoy, Dr. Skoumal is attentive and thoughtful regarding potential pain. I’ve never had an issue with fillings, crowns, or cleanings (the services I’ve needed so far). I would definitely recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr. Skoumal! I was able to get a same-day appointment to fix my chipped tooth which was causing me discomfort. He did an excellent job on filling the tooth. The dental assistant was very knowledgeable too. The front desk receptionist was very kind and helpful. I was nervous, but she put my mind at ease.
