I have been seeing Dr. Chao for a few years and he has been doing really great work on my teeth–he has been working on my gums to help them be more healthy, and saving them!!!  I originally started seeing Dr. Chao because of my loose teeth and the other dentists I was seeing  were recommending extractions for the loose teeth as well as the teeth surrounding the loose teeth.  I cried and cried when I was told I needed to loose teeth and wanted to see if there were any other options.  I read one of Dr. Chao’s ads regarding saving loose teeth and felt it applied to my situation directly.  I called and the office and scheduled an appointment, and here I am years later, with all my teeth still in my mouth, very happy with the services I received.  I really appreciate all the staff and the fact that I’m never nervous or scared to come to the office.  I use to be really afraid to come to the dentist, but now I fall asleep (on my own) while they are working on my teeth, and I don’t need Atavan anymore like I use to.  Everyone is very professional. I appreciate that Dr. Chao has taken the time to work with me in making my treatment affordable for my situation.  Money doesn’t grow on trees and their office is very willing to work with me and others on their various situations.  I appreciate that greatly.  DEFINTIELY WORTH IT!!

I have had an exceptionally positive experience with Dr. Chao  and his staff from my first office visit to the final follow up.  Dr. Chao and his staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and professional.  I had receding gums and discovered on the web Dr. Chao’s pinhole technique which he pioneered/invented over 10 years ago. Dr. Chao explained the procedure thoroughly and informed me of what to expect for the results.  The pricing was explained to me in advance, so there were no surprises.  All follow up visits and incidentals (such as mouth guard, mouth trays, ice packs, etc.) were included in the pricing.  I would highly recommend Dr. Chao’s practice for repair of gum recession.  I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Chao and his team!

I was referred to this dental office by a family friend, due to my recent move to the area I decided to give this office a try, like every new place I decide to go to, I like to look at past reviews, I was not to pleased with some of what I read, though some reviews were pleasant. Luckily for me I have great trust in my long time friend who informed me that she has been a patient of Dr.Chao for many years, So I decided to schedule an appointment. I’m so glad I did!!! From the very friendly phone call to schedule my appointment at a convenient time, to meeting Dr. Chao, who was very reassuring to my dental concerns. Sarah the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very gentle and informative. I am happy to say, my home care will improve from my dental visit to Dr. Chao’s office. Overall I am very happy with my experience in the dental clinic, with such a great staff, I am happy I scheduled my appointment and looking forward to my next scheduled visit. Thank you Dr. Chao and staff.

In my personal experience, Dr. Chao and all of his staff are pretty amazing. I’ve never been to a friendlier office. They talk with you as friends, and provide what I feel is genuinely great and careful dental work, from the regular cleanings to the more advanced procedures like the pinhole gum surgery, which I’ve had twice on my upper and lower teeth. With the careful maintenance they outline I haven’t had any issues with the procedure. The office never feels overcrowded or overbooked. While it’s true there are likely more inexpensive practices out there, I feel the most comfortable and confident here by far.

I have been a patient ofDr. Chao’s for years and I can’t stop bragging about the services I have received there.  I have been to many offices prior to this one and I am very impressed with everything!!  Dr. Chao and his staff are always upfront with me and what my variety of options are for services.  They let me decide what service i want!!!!  They explain very thoroughly all cost options and treatment options to me so that I am able to make the best informed decision on my own.  I recently had a relative have the Pinhole Surgical Technique done and it was soo extremely impressive.  He had no swelling after AT ALL and never once had discomfort.  He had received many quotes prior to his treatment for gum grafting from other doctors and we are both so glad he chose to go with Dr. CHAO and his staff.  The results are excellent!!  And the cost was definitely worth every penny of it!! I highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone.

I have been a long time patient of John Chao D.D.S. In fact, I have been his patient for 25 or more years, along with all members of my family.  Throughout these years I have received thorough and careful treatment in all aspects of my dental as well as my general health.  When I come to the office the first thing done is the hygienist’s taking of my blood pressure, then careful and meticulous care of my teeth.  I just came in for a check up to my earlier cleaning and gum treatment three weeks ago.  Even so, the hygienist today re-cleaned areas of my mouth.  Dr. John has a comprehensive approach to dental care and referred me for sinus care and my children for orthodontics.    Most people would dread a dental visit to any dentist, but for me coming to Dr. Chao’s office actually relaxes me.  During my visits, I have dozed off while getting my teeth cleaned.  I feel confident that under Dr. Chao’s care I will maintain my teeth more than healthily.  Dr. Chao has the state-of-the-art equipment and computerized information that appear on the screen viewable to the patient from the dental chair. Moreover, his staff members are courteous and caring as well. Not once has any of his staff pressured for payments.  In fact, his front desk staff go out of their way to accomodate to what our dental plans afford and what we can work with.  Our dental health has been the priority for Dr. Chao and his staff.    I believe Dr. Chao provides the best dental care in his personal approach to his patients, in his comprehensive care for each patient, and in the courtesy and  skill of his highly trained assistants.

I’ve had gum disease since the age of 13 due to the oldschool wrap-around metal braces and had to have my gums scraped at age 14 to get rid of the infected gum tissue and ever since that horrible experience I’ve never wanted to go through any attempt to fully treat my gum disease and severe gum recession. So it took 30 years and 3000 miles (being from Miami Beach) later to find Dr. Chao and I have to say he totally lived up to his reputation with the pinhole technique which he created and the pain-free procedure to repair my gums. I had the pinhole procedure done to the entire top gums which Dr. Chao completed in under an hour and it truly is an unbelievable outcome to see the recession completely eliminated and my gums back to where they should have been all along. The entire staff at this office are really great, friendly and extremely helpful through every step of the process. Dr. Chao is the “Real Deal”.

I found Dr. Chao on google for a gum treatment technique he invented so I decided to visit his office for consultation.  I never expected to be treated and cared for with such genuine care, comprehensive treatment plan with the latest technology, and a friendly patient, supportive staff.   I have gone there 3 times now for a variety of deep cleaning and recommended repair and maintenance program, and never have I ever look forward to seeing my dentist until now. Dr. Chao’s office is my go to dentist now even though it takes me at least an hour drive each way to see him, Gia, and Peggy.  I highly recommend his services especially for people who are in great need of a comprehensive oral care program. From my initial phone conversation with April, who is always so friendly, patient, and happy to answer all of my questions, to Salima (sp?) who patiently explained the procedures to me even if I keep asking the same questions three different ways, to Joy, who is great at scheduling me
and accommodating my work schedule and working with my dental insurance timely to get reimbursement, and the two awesome hygienists Gia and Peggy who are so thorough and meticulous and yet comforting, and for educating me with proper oral care, all with a friendly smile. I am so happy to come to Dr. Chao’s office even though getting there is tough with heavy traffic.  If you want first class oral care, please go see Dr. Chao.  Some of the procedures are not cheap but they are well worth it.

I was referred to Dr. Chao for the pinhole procedure by my dentist. Let me start by saying I do not care for most dentists. For the past few years every one I saw was like a used car salesman telling me I need something and it was not covered by insurance. So when I went in to see Dr. Chao my guard was up. The staff was AMAZING! They were very nice and helpful. When Dr. Chao came in he educated me about his procedure and gave me all the facts. There was no hard sell or pressure to get it done. When I decided to go thought the procedure the staff (Joy) worked with my insurance and saved me a lot of money. (Thank you) Fast forward one year and I could not be happier. My gums look better than I could have ever thought. I live in OC and it was well worth the hour plus drive to have it all done. I only wish I live closer Dr. Chao would be my full time dentist.

Such a great dental office! Everyone is extremely friendly and kind, very patient, even with my onslaught of dumb questions. I am also quite cheap/frugal and indecisive, the worst kind of patient. Joy and Dr. Chao really extended their help by helping me figuring out my priorities, so I can tackle the nightmare in my mouth one step at a time without me having to sell an organ to pay for everything. Danielle is just amazing, best dental hygienist ever. Overall: Yes, they are a little on the pricier side, but if you are looking for a place that is focused on your health and wellbeing to provide the best care – look no further.
