I got my Invisalign done from Dr Chaves. My teeth look amazing now. I had a gap between my two front teeth and multiple other teeth. I think it took six months but my teeth are completely straight now and my bite is symmetric. He was hands on throughout the whole process and when he is not he has a very experienced and talented staff. He also did my fillings for small cavities and I am doing great after with no issues. Cleaning visits were spot on.   I am a physician myself and was very impressed by how he runs his clinic and practice. I would recommend my family and friends and whoever else wants a talented dentist. I dont know what all these claims are about bad prices or charging are, I know how billing in medicine works and all his prices are fair and square.

Dr. Chaves is one the most humble doctors I have ever met! He greets his patients as they walk through the front door, and makes us all feel welcomed. I had an extensive procedure done and the whole time I was in the chair I felt at ease. They have Tv’s and music in each room to help you through the visit, and it the distraction really helps! Dr. Chaves did amazing job! Day after my procedure I’m feeling great. I only wish I found him sooner.   All the ladies that work for him are great! You can tell they really enjoy working for him and enjoy the work they do! Overall my visit was really good from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I am grateful for finally finding an dental office I can trust!

Dr Chaves and his staff are skillful, courteous and professional. He personally went out of his way to accommodate my erratic schedule, seeing me late in the evening and then very early in the AM. He and his assistant Lisa performed a extensive reconstructive procedure on me involving veneers and crowns that has restored my smile and made my wife smile as well! Thank you Dr Chaves

An Awesome place to go. I have spent a lot there, because my teeth needed it, but I am happy with every visit and my teeth look perfect. It takes years off your appearance. You know you’re in trouble when your dentist threatens to charge you rent!  Unfortunately that’s been my story for the last year or so. The bad news, I have been afflicted with a number of diverse and challenging dental issues. The good news, I have had Dr. John Chaves and his incredible crew at the ready to take care of me and my mouth. Several years ago I inherited Dr. Chaves in the merger of two practices. At first I felt that no one could replace my prior dentist. Dr. Chaves quickly dispelled my concerns and has been taking care of me and my family ever since.  His practice is based on not only great dentistry but also an environment of warmth, understanding and caring. From my experience Dr. Chaves is seasoned in all aspects of dentistry and while it is unfortunate that I have recently experienced the diversity of his vast skills I’m grateful for his care. I used to be very anxious going to the dentist.  Being under the care of Dr. Chaves has allayed my fears.  Novocain injections are not even a big deal. One of the things that I greatly appreciate about Dr. Chaves is the fact that he continually checks in with me when I’m in the dental chair constantly asking, “are you okay?”, and waiting for a thumbs up assurance that I am.  Dr. Chaves surrounds himself with an incredible and caring staff. And while I appreciate each and every one of them I wanted to especially thank Liza for always taking care of the administrative aspects of my care and making sure I can get into see the doctor when I need to. To Star for always being such a star when it comes to my care. To Jackie for not only sharing the name of my daughter but also providing great care as she assists Dr. Chaves. And a thank you to Irene one of the greatest dental hygienists of all time. While I hope you, the reader, are not in a dental crisis I feel confident knowing that the care you’d receive from Dr. Chaves and his team is excellent.

Love my dentist! Been with Dr. Ford who got taken over by Dr. Chaves for years. Chaves is funny, professional, and very easy to interact with. Going to the dentist isn’t fun but the office atmosphere him and the front desk create makes it so much better! If you suck at paperwork and insurance this is the place for you – the office staff is very helpful! Always takes the insurance and paperwork ahead of time, up front on fees, dues etc. Highly recommend!

Dr. Chaves and his highly skilled and friendly staff make me smile every time I go to get a cleaning, or more invasive work such as my last experience with a root canal and dental implant on a molar I actually fractured. When I say I laugh and smile the whole time I truly mean it. The best part is Dr. Chaves not only answers every question, no matter how big or small, but his patient care is his highest priority Please consider him for your next dental visit. You will never regret joining the family�

Let me start this review by saying that I truly believe that I had one of the most difficult and complex cases a dentist could work on. For years I lived a very unhealthy lifestyle and the teeth I had left were left in extremely bad shape. When I approached Dr. Chaves about what could be done I honestly thought it was a shot in the dark. After all I thought the only option was to pull my remaining teeth out and give me implants which I knew was going to be expensive. Most dentist would have looked at my case and probably scratched their head and not know where to start. After Dr. Chaves looked at my x-rays he sat beside me and explained to me the vision he had and that it could be done in just two visits. The ease, confidence and resolute professionalism he conveyed spoke volumes. Even more so, his enthusiasm and happiness was directly contingent on my happiness and satisfaction as his client.  Dr. Chaves was able to give me a movie star smile!! He is more than a dentist. He is an ARTIST!! He went above and beyond to make his vision come to life with bridges, crowns, and veneers. I honestly have a better looking set of teeth than most people who have never even had a cavity in their whole life . To recommend Dr. Chaves is an understatement. His bedside manner as a doctor is warm and comforting and his work is superior. Going to see Dr. Chaves was one of the best things I could have ever done for myself and my only regret is waiting so long to do it. Thank you Dr. Chavesfor who you are and what you do. My life has changed dramatically for the better and because of you today “I love to smile!!”

I have been a patient of Dr. Chaves in Woodland Hills since he took over Dr. Ford’s practice. Dr. Ford was a great dentist – I was sorry to see him retire.  However, he sure did sell his practice to the right guy!!  Dr. Chaves has a fantastic chairside manner and the office staff is always super friendly (even Dr. Chaves’ hypoallergenic office dog is a sweetheart). Most important, though, is that I trust his opinion and the work he performs.  A couple of years ago Dr. Chaves fitted me for 2 crowns and so far I am really pleased with them.  The whole process was painless and went very smoothly. In addition to seeing Dr. Chaves for checkups, I see Irene for a hygiene appointment 3 times a year.  She has been in the business for a long time and not only works there but also is an instructor at a dental hygiene school. Irene is a true professional; she is always so nice and does a fantastic job taking care of my teeth. She takes the time necessary to show me any problem areas using her mini camera and works out a plan for me to address those during my daily dental maintenance routine. Comparing photos with previous ones allows her to monitor my progress as she strives to get me to continually improve. I think of her as sort of my teeth-and-gums coach. A while ago I moved to Ventura County, about 30 miles away.  There are plenty of dentists out here, but my family and I still come out to the Valley to Dr. Chaves.
