Ditto on everything else that everyone said before me. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Law for years and so have other members of my family. If you can believe it, a few of us even compete to see who had the better check-up. As someone who used to let years pass in between dental visits, this says a lot. Since I no longer have that hangup about visiting the dentist, my goal to keep my teeth and gums healthy well into my golden years has grown. (I’m talking normal preventitive maintenance, not the dental OCD my sister has.) Dr. Law is so personable, that our check-ups are more like visiting a friend who just happens to check on your oral care while you’re catching up with each other. Nice office, friendly and professional staff, thorough and efficient check-ups…there’s really nothing I can rate negatively. The only downside for us is location, but since we really do love our dentist, the drive from Burbank to Arcadia two times a year is definitely worth it.

I decided to try Dr. Law for my routine dental checkups because my husband kept raving about his work! Dr. Law kept me very comfortable on my first visit and it was, most of all, painless! He does the teeth cleaning thoroughly and gave me helpful tips on how to keep my teeth healthy. Very personable but also professional. I had no issues with the office staff and they are on top of things. Recommended!

Dr. Law has been my dentist for 10+ years and is absolutely amazing! After experiencing a traumatizing dental surgery as a child, I never wanted to see another dentist again. Then I met his girlfriend (now wife) and she told me I should check him out. She promised that he’s nothing like the typical “money hungry” dentist out there, and he’s actually very professional, honest, and genuinely cares about his patients. So I made an appointment with his wonderful staff, and needless to say, she was right! He’s so kind, personable, and takes time to explain everything. I now have a 6 year old son that goes to Dr. Law and he loves him. I’ve even referred many of my friends/family/colleagues, and they all leave his office with smiles on their face. I would definitely recommend John Law to anybody looking for a great dentist and staff!

Make your checkup appts at least one month in advance! He’s a busy one! Dentists are such a touchy topic, but I’m actually glad to have found my forever dentist! He is gentle as he is thorough and is never trying to sell you anything you don’t need. I came in with a wisdom tooth issue and he actually suggested that I wait and didn’t push to pull them out until it is necessary. His office is clean and has all the tools handy. The front desk girls were nice and they called prior to my appointment to confirm. The only caveat is that an appt may be a month out or so, but that only means he’s in high demand!

I decided to go to a new dentist as the other place I went before did not know how to numb the mouth and cleaning was uncomfortable and lloonngg!! Thank goodness for Yelp! I found Dr Law and he’s the best! Super gentle and patient and he explains everything!! Best part is I only see him once every 6 months, but book in advance as he’s very popular!! Clean facility and friendly staff!

I came to Dr. Law for the first time years ago with horrible teeth and over the next few months we got everything fixed and over the next few years he is become a confidant and fun dentist to see for my teeth. Great Dentist! Believe the reviews…just not too fast…I need more appointments! Everything that was stated by the others cannot be overstated. Dr. Law is a pretty laid-back guy, and my guess is that he understands that people get a little nervous about being the dentist’s chair, knowing they’re going to get drilled and then need to open their wallets to follow!!! He was totally thorough: explained what was wrong with my tooth and the adjacent areas, proposed the remedy and the length of time that would be needed for each procedure, and reassured me that everything would be as good as new. I’m looking forward to the next appointments, as like so many people: you don’t realize that you need a dentist until you need a dentist: otherwise, you just assume all is well if you brush and floss. True? Oh: lots of parking- free, and a pretty casual environment. Deserves 6 stars. 🙂

It was not working out with my current dentist. I found Dr. Law via YELP with the help of the reviews. I was so pleased after my visit. Dr. Law rocks! He is very thorough with his exam. He also communicates the process of the procedure as it is happening. He also made sure I was in a place of comfort at all times. I adopted him as my dentist now and recommend him to friends and family. The staff is great too! The girls are very sweet and are on top of appointment and follow up calls. I have more work in the making and am feel very safe that Dr. Law will be taking care of my dental needs.

I’ve been going to Dr. Law since 2004. I couldn’t be more happier with his work & service. He is the type of dentist that is NOT gonna BS of work you need done. Dr. John Law is a great dentist! I have been going to him ever since he started his practice! He does a great job of communicating and is honest! He won’t tell you about stuff that’s wrong with you, to try and make a buck! Unlike other medical people that I have encountered that just wants you for your co-pay, Dr. John also spends the time with each patient to answer any questions that you may have. His staff is pretty responsive and are very friendly as well. One problem is that due to the fact that he is a good dentist, his schedule fills up fast!

My friends and I love John! I’ve visited John three or four times in the past year and have had only wonderful experiences in his office. His staff is very friendly and professional – they know me by name! His office is also very tidy and clean, yet homey and welcoming. John himself is extremely knowledgeable; he also makes a great conversationalist. I’ve never had a more thorough checkup by any dentist. He even spotted right away that I needed a root canal. Been going to Dr law like what seems to be for ever like 14 years at least! He’s seen us before we had kids and is also a great dentist to my kids. He’s really patient and gentle with his work. Very personable and did I mention he’s great with kids. He’s worked on my daughters teeth when she had an accident and had to do a root canal…mind you she was two and didnt complain of pain during or after the procedure, nor was she scared. He has a calming soothing method to help my kids always be relaxed and not afraid of the dentist. He’s truthful and honest with what needs to be done and has great skills and wisdom with dentistry.

Dentistry has really become big business these days. There are so many fancy dental practices all over the place, with their modern clinics and whatnot. Two years ago, I let myself be conned by one such dental practice and got myself sales-talked into a very expensive bridge crown (think car salesman kind of sales talk)–which by the way, ended up being the worst dental decision I have ever made in my life and something I will have to live with for the rest of my geriatric life. Fast-forward, Dr. Law. I wish I had gone to him from day one! Okay, so this review isn’t about telling everyone how he saved me from that grievous mistake. What this review is about is 20/20 hindsight. Dr Law couldn’t undo what was done but he is, to me, a poignant reminder of how these so-called fancy dental practices are driven only by corporate, revenue-driven practices. I have seen Dr Law three times now. Like the other reviews here, I am here to give testimony to his gentle, thorough and conservative treatment approach. We need more dental practices like these where you feel “at home.” I had that for 28 years before moving to Arcadia with Dr. Robert Havis in Encino, and I’m glad I’ve found that again with Dr Law. My husband and daughter now also go to him and verdict is: we have found our forever-dentist!

Called Dr. Law’s office for an emergency Saturday appointment as I was experiencing severe pain from an abscess, and my usual dentist is on vacation. Dr. Law is an excellent dentist. I came in for my consultation, and I was highly impressed. There is not a waiting room full of people to be seen by a number of different Dr assistants. You are exclusive for that consultation and only to be seen by Dr. Law. His assistant took my X-rays from the same chair that I got my teeth cleaned from. Dr. Law explained everything he was doing, step-by-step. He did a great job examining the entire mouth. He measured my gums, checked the back of my throat, and took pictures of tartar buildup. When it was time for cleaning, his assistant handed me some glasses/googles to keep from water jumping in my eyes. After the cleaning, he showed me how to floss properly, and handed me a roll of floss. 🙂 n’ on my left, there was a glass full of mouth wash by the sink. Dr. Law was recommended to me by word of mouth, and I am absolutely thrilled he was.

I can honestly say since my first visit, about 4 years ago, I make sure I never miss a check up with Dr. Law. Not only do I go there, but my husband and 2 kids go there as well. Dr. Law works great with kids. They have no idea they are getting a shot in their mouth… thats how good he is. My husband has a high tolerance for anesthesia so working on him is a bit difficult. But Dr Law is always on top of making sure my husband is comfortable and not in pain. Dr Law makes sure to go over anything you are concerned about. He makes you feel like an actual person not just another number. The staff is also very friendly. Maria and Jessica always make us feel welcomed.
I highly recommend Dr Law for any dental work.

I love Dr. Law! He is a great dentist and he is super with kids! I have 4 kids and they all look forward to going to the dentist. He knows how to engage them and make them feel comfortable. (The “treasure box” also helps. 🙂 ) I appreciate that he does the cleaning himself and does a thorough exam.
