I would like to start this off by saying that this is going to be a long review, that it glosses over many visits I’ve had here, and that it is very positive. I almost never write reviews, but I will say that if you’re looking to skim, the summary is: I would recommend this dentist to the absolute fullest to anyone I know who has any kind of serious dental problems or any dentist fears/hang-ups. If you’re looking for more of an in-depth description of the process and people there, though, please read on. I’ve had terrible teeth throughout most of my life, and never had the money or guts to really figure out a game plan for fixing them. On top of that, sometime around 30 I developed a sort of physical anxiety that left me restless whenever I was in situations that took away my ability to control my personal space. Thus, dental work has been, on top of having a pretty bad set of broken, yellowed and rotten teeth, really difficult for me to approach. I wish I could change the anxious part about myself, but it’s something that is just there, at least for the moment. To sum up my experiences with other dentists before I found Dr. Marcus’ office, it was mainly people looking at my teeth, seeing my insurance, and treating me as if I weren’t even a serious client. Clearly if I had allowed my teeth to get this bad, it wasn’t even worth their time to create a serious plan for me. Add to that fact that I was asking for some sort of sedation/pain amelioration (because of the anxiety) and the dentists I saw became even more dismissive. This was super-disheartening and led to me prolonging treatment even longer. From the first minute of my first visit, the people at Dr. Marcus’ office were insanely positive, therapeutic, gentle and effective. They also offer twilight sedation for the weak of heart, like myself, which is what made it all possible. I waited until my final crowns were put on to write this review, but I could have written it after my first interaction with the team. Every single person in that office was concerned for my dental health, while being funny and generally cool the entire time and making sure that my teeth would be as beautiful as they could be by the end of the process. I can’t believe how well everything turned out. My smile is amazing (even though there’s a bit more work to do) and they are so incredibly responsive and flexible to any questions I have or tweaks that need to be made to the treatment plan. Even though there are probably 50 dentists closer to where I live, I will never go anywhere else because of the amazing experience I’ve had there, an experience that is built completely upon the amazing, compassionate people who work there, especially Dr. Marcus herself. If you have difficulty with dental work, have teeth that you’re embarrassed about, or don’t know if you can afford to have your problems fixed but you want to speak with someone compassionate, I would wholly recommend you go to Dr. Marcus.

This is the absolute best place to go to for dental care and work. My father and I have now been attending for a number of years, rarely if ever leaving disappointed in the service or the treatment. Prices seem affordable, communication is timely and effective, and you get the care that one deserves when one of your teeth decides to rebel against you. Must visit place, and you can’t say that about a lot of healthcare facilities.

I am 50 years old and I have going to this office since I was 17 and I needed my wisdom teeth removed. I’ve been treated by a variety of doctors from Dr. Harold Marcus and now his daughter Dr. Joni Marcus. Every doctor and all the staff over the years have been great! They really make you feel at ease and comfortable in a place this is usually stressful for most.  I highly recommend them!

I was referred to this dentist by my coworker and I’m very pleased. The location isn’t bad and the parking was better good. I was greeted by a polite receptionist and we made great conversation. Then I was escorted to the back to get X-rays done. They found something that was missed by my previous dentist. Smh. Dr. Joni was super sweet and very mild mannered. Her entire staff made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me in great detail. I was a bit nervous bc I was having problems with my wisdom tooth and they were very gentle with everything. I would def recommend friends and family here. I hope this helps anyone looking for a new dentist.

My only complaint is that I could never move away now that I found these great dentists! Warm, family atmosphere. The doctors know what they’re doing, and will go the extra mile to help you. The staff is kind and understanding and every precaution is taken for those of us who are “afraid of the dentist.” Just marvelous.

When I first went to Dr. Marcus Dentist, I immediately notice the sign on the door stating “WE CATER TO COWARDS “. I was very impressed with the statement and even more impressed when it turned out to be true. They were very kind and patient with my fear of what it is they do. I am loving my teeth and I will definitely keep all my appointments. I was so satisfied, that I am now taking my 5 year old granddaughter to Dr Marcus office. She wad first seen at 52nd Jefferson a new Dentist, however, I have been waiting for someone to call me back with an appointment and have not heard anything yet so I called Dr Marcus office on 7/14/17 and received an appointment for 9/1/17.

My husband generally goes to Dr. Marcus’ Total Dental Care. I’d switched my girls to this dentist office after I’d recently had issues with the previous dentist office. Every staff member I’d encountered during both visits were very helpful and seemed happy at their place of work. I would definitely refer anyone to Dr. Marcus’ Total Dental Care. Thanks!!

Very professional and well-trained staff. they give extra exceptional care to everyone they are A Step Above the Rest they come highly recommended and will deliver I would like to say for the people that like to splurge splurge on you you deserve it your health deserves it your family deserves it instead of getting that new big screen TV or Whatever item you desire take care of you first and if you have coverage that is only a plus take care of you and you will be just fine

Dr.Joni Marcus took care of me herself today and she was marvelous and so very pleasant and courteous as always, tell her thanks For the comfortable check up ,she’s a very good dentist , with excellent people and dental skills that means so very much when you in the dental chair I had a good day and tell her to have one also !

I simply love this place, the staff is simply amazing, personable, and welcoming. I lost a cousin having a simple root canal procedure (at another dentist office) so needless to say my fear of simple procedures are extremely high however, when I say each hygienist that came in talked to me throughout all of my procedures….I cannot thank all of you enough!

It had been at least ten year since I had been to the dentist, because of my fear of dentist and a couple of bad experiences. My significant other suggested I see his dentist, Dr. Joni Marcus. Dr. Marcus and her entire team took the time to first talk to me to find out why I was afraid of the dentist before ever looking in my mouth. Then they gave me options to make me feel comfortable. There is one technician In particular that held my hand during my extraction even though there was no pain, simply because she knew I was nervous. I highly recommend Dr Marcus and her team.
