Dr. Jovita has been our dentist for 20 years, and she has offered excellent professional, courteous, and thorough care. She is aware and sensitive to patients’ needs and concerns. She listens carefully and offers recommendations prior to moving forward with treatment. Her staff also offer polite and careful care to each patient who walks in the door. And they are great at assessing insurance policies. They are also very diverse in the office and can speak and translate different languages. You can expect friendly service and come out with a positive experience and a step closer to that perfect smile.

Awesome ! Awesome ! Awesome ! Wish I wouldve met Dr Barcena many years ago! She is kind and gentle. I’m.not an easy patient..my teeth too sensitive and I just tense up walking through the door.. Not because of her but because I’m a chicken when it comes to seeing the dentist. She puts me at ease … She is just awesome ! And I love how she takes extra care of her patients.. This is my new dentist! I am the daughter of a dentist back in FL and have always had daddy take care of me. He is now a retiree and I am an adult. Or at least that is what my age suggests. This Dr. And her staff are so wonderful and kind and understanding. I need a root canal and a crown. Not looking forward to either – however I am much more at ease now speaking with this staff. I highly recommend you use this office as your mouth’s new home. You won’t regret it and I will be seeing them again soon. Thank you for being Awesome!

Been coming here almost 8 years and the quality of the service just gets better and better each time. Technology-wise, they keep advancing with everything top of the line in their trade. I have been seeing Dr. Jovita A Bacerna and her staff for about 2 months now. I have full confidence in her and their work. It is a wonderful office from the front desk staff to the hygientists to the dental assistants .the work and expertise is top notch from these experts. Look no further if you have dental anxiety or you are just looking for an honest, personable, caring dental office. Fees are fair as well. I have never seen another dentist since 1995 , thanks ms Jovita A bacerna and Celia who is so awesome , Celia is very friendly , very very helpful and kind !!! I definitely recommend them

Dr. Barcena has been our family dentist for over 10 years. From routine cleanings to my complete Invisalign treatment (very happy with my straight teeth!), Dr. Barcena is the only dentist I truly trust. On a recent appointment, the office has taken extra steps to ensure patient safety from covid. They’ve since installed multiple air purifiers, an air filtration system during cleanings, and they took your temperature and sprayed your feet with disinfectant upon entry to the clinic. Both Dr. Barcena and her assistant were gowned up the entire time (N95 + surgical mask, face shield, surgical hat, gloves and gown), which made me feel super safe and super impressed at the same time. Patient safety is their utmost priority. This is icing on top for a business that consistently provides excellent dental services with top notch professionalism. A+++

This are tough times we are living trying to get use to our new normal. Very happy that Dr.Barcena opened for the public. Made an appointment, Arrived and had to wait outside to be let in. I was then briefed on the new protocols that have been implemented for the staffs and patients safety. I felt very safe and comfortable walking in and being escorted to the room. Before Dr. Barcena walked in I had the assistant again show me some of the new machines they have in place and the new prep process. I can say they made me feel very comfortable and safe that one they are taken it seriously and have taken the proper precautions for everyone’s safety. Thanks Dr.Barcena and staff… Stay Safe

Dr. Jovita is hands down the best dentist in San Fernando Valley. I would say the world but humility is important in life! Dr. Jovita is compassion, gentle and caring! She has been my dentist for almost 10 years and I always get compliments on my smile. I’ve had 3 cavities and she takes her time to show you where the concern is on the X-rays and in your mouth. Our purpose is to ensure that we are up to date with the latest trends in dentistry in order to provide the best service for them. Dr. Jovita A Barcena is a 1982 graduate of the University of the East, Manila, Philippines. Dr. Jovita A. Barcena is one of the "Top Doc LA" dentists in 2011 and was also chosen by The Consumers Research Council of America, an independent accrediting body, as one of "The America's Top Dentists" in 2007 and 2008. Dr. Jovita A Barcena is a 1982 graduate of the University of the East, Manila, Philippines. After graduation she opened two private offices in Manila. She was then offered a job working as a dental hygienist in Saudi Arabia. The hospital director observed how well she treated her patients, and after a few days she was asked not to only do teeth cleaning but also to do general dentistry. She was offered a dentist position, which involved one month of training at the Ministry of Health followed by a licensure exam that included three parts; an oral, practical, and written exam. She was the first Filipino dentist who was given a license to practice dentistry in Asir, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After getting her license, she was assigned to the main office in Jeddah, K.S.A. and it was there she trained for one year in Pedodontics (Children's Dentistry) and worked for five years in Orthodontics. In 1993, Dr. Barcena decided to join her family in the USA and decided to take the California State Board of exam to practice dentistry in California, which she passed in 1995. She worked at the Central Dental Care clinic in Covina, CA from June 1995-1996. Dr. Barcena decided to start her own private practice in Panorama City, CA in 1996. At her Panorama City office, Dr. Barcena is a general dentist with special interest in Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. She also performs minor surgeries, non surgical gum treatment, and preventive dentistry. She loves attending dental seminars and always updates herself with the latest trends in dentistry. Aside from working in her office, Dr. Barcena also participates in many charitable and community services, as well as doing dental missions outside the country.
