Recommend by Dr. Horie Guy from Maui which who I trust my whole life & never fails me but when I moved to Oahu there was so many options, I’m so glad he referred me To Dr. Jason Ako, also the best! Beautiful interior and the nicest staff ever, very friendly and helpful. Dr Jason also have magic hands, i feel no pressure when hes working with my teeth especially when he filled in my cavities. Very comfortable w this place! Nothing negative to say, very happy with his work, staff & place!

Extremely professional and equally as personable. Dr. Ako ‘s demeanor & knowledge are reflected by his choice in staff. They are all very courteous & respectful of their patients concerns and questions. The staff like Dr. Ako listen and respond to their patients as though we were their own family. They truly care about their clients.

New to the island and was searching for a dentist. Happy to have found Dr. Ako. Very thorough and high tech examination, followed by a detailed review of all options. The office is conveniently located and the staff was very professional. I was particularly impressed by Nicolle, who was helpful and went the “extra mile” while explaining insurance coverages.

Dr. Ako is “my dentist”, he’s “my guy”. I really don’t have that in a lot of things, like I don’t have a set doctor, hair stylist, mechanic, etc. Several years ago I got the recommendation to see him as I was looking for a general dentist, but had never had major work. I went and was so enthralled by the technology he uses/keeps up with just with basic cleanings/imaging, I knew he knew what he was talking about/doing. I had to have my first major work done (crown) about a year ago. When I cracked the tooth, they initially couldn’t see me for a week. Since I had had no major work/issues before I was freaking out a bit. I got an appointment with a different dentist a colleague recommended and before they even started the exam it felt “off” and I apologized and left. So glad I waited to go and have him do the work. Just went today to have a second crown (I need 3 in total as I have been a teeth grinder for years) and was there for 1.5 hours and then I went to work with no ill effects. I am so glad to finally have someone, especially as important as a dentist, that I am so endlessly confident in. Many Mahalos for all that you and your team do! P.S. Michelle is amazing!!

All the staffs were super friendly, it was a nice visit. They double-check the work and confirm twice before working on your teeth and everything. The dentist I did always make sure I’m not in pain by asking if everything was ok. Definitely recommend to visit here

So thrilled to have found Dr. Austin Ako! I’m a very nervous patient & walked into my first appointment with my typical apprehension but Dr. Ako & his staff immediately put me at ease. The staff is very friendly & accommodating. They explain all procedures and review billing costs thoroughly which is always appreciated. Dr. Ako is patient, knowledgable and seems to have a genuine investment in the health of his patients. He takes his time to explain the procedure -both before and during- and asks how you are doing throughout. I’m also happy to report that this doctor truly provides a pain-free experience! I hate needles but I’ve had multiple fillings & replacement of a crown so far and felt nothing! Dr. Ako will also make recommendations for at home care & will provide great info so you can keep up with your oral health between visits. Five stars for sure!!!

Honestly this is going down in history.  Jason Ako gave me NO pain whatsoever when I got 3 cavities filled.  I am truly amazed at this.  He is very honest which you all should know is very important when it comes to dental work.  No wonder he got Best dentist of the Year in Honolulu in 2010 he deserves a award every year!!   If your looking for a ease free dental experience go to Jason Ako DDS.

If you’re like most people, going to the dentist doesn’t rate as high as say going to shop the big sale at your most favorite store in the world or even going to pig out at your most favorite restaurant! lol. But I must say that all my experiences at Dr. Ako’s office have been well…almost pleasureable. I’m not saying that because it was a bunch of laughs but it was actually okay! When you first walk in, the staff at the front are secomd to none, hands down. Whether its over the phone when you’re making your appointment or in person, they make you feel welcome and treat you like family. Even on my first visit! While you’re in the chair, Dr. Ako has his rooms set up for maximum comfort and relaxation (okay for as much as you can get even if the drill is in your mouth). Whether it’s music, or the tv screen, its a great diversion to anything you might have to face and in my book, I need a lot of it lol. Unfortunately I recently needed a crown but found out that Dr. Ako’s office is decked out with state of the art equipment (sort of a dentist with toys if you will) and made the crown on the spot so there wasn’t a wait. I love looking at the computer generated images and all the other gadgets Dr. Ako has which allows him to generously explain the procedure. All of my visits have been great experiences and trust me, in my lifetime I’ve been to a plethora of dentists. The office is located across Kahala Mall and there is free and open parking without the hassle of going into a lot and taking a ticket etc. If you are in the market for a dentist, I HIGHLY recommend you consider Dr. Ako. His work is impeccable and always done with excellence. I promise, you’ll be glad you did! Oh one last note, if you have an aversion to shots like me (raise hand here), Dr. Ako is a pro and is smooth like buttah lol
