Dr. Uwaine is such a great dentist. She takes the time to explain everything to you carefully so you aren’t apprehensive about what to expect. I had some composite fillings done and it was quick and you can’t even tell they are there because she has an eye for detail. I recommended her to my friends and coworkers.

I hadn’t seen a dentist for about 10 years before I decided to give Dr. Uwaine a try. I was sure that my teeth were yellow and stained for the rest of my life, however, Dr. Uwaine did an awesome job cleaning them. She was quick but yet very thorough, and now my teeth not only look amazing but feel great. Dr. Uwaine is easy to talk to and shows concern for patient comfort throughout the visit. Additionally her staff is very helpful. One of the assistants, Mary, spent a lot of time calling back and forth between an oral surgeon’s office and myself to help get me an appointment. I never sensed any impatience in her voice or frustration as I kept changing my mind on things. I would not hesitate to recommend a friend or family member to Dr. Uwaine.

Excellent service every time! Easy to schedule appointments and all the doctors are great! Also they are open til 8pm some nights so it’s nice to be able to go after a full day at work. Super nice little details like writing “Welcome Toby” on the board in the exam room with cute drawings, relaxing music and sometimes aromatherapy. They also offer laser treatments and acupuncture.

Felt absolutely comfortable in her chair from start to finish. Almost forgot I was at the dentist for a while. Had a great conversation during the whole appointment even though she had to basically read my mind in order to figure out what I wanted to say. haha. I’m fairly sure she could do it, too! She’s got a super fun personality and it certainly doesn’t hurt that she’s cute, not that you can tell with that mask on, but trust me. Whether true or not, she said I have good teeth so she should a couple of stars for that, too. Haha. Too bad I can only give her 5.

I’ve never experienced a vet clinic/hospital that makes you feel like family as Kaka’ako Pet Hospital does. Not only am I greeted by a welcome sign for my Sweet Pea in the lobby as well as the actual room, this place saved my cats life. I was dealing with this while my father was dying. After my father passed, the staff sent me the most touching sympathy card that each employee touchingly wrote the kindest words to me and my son. There’s just not enough space to describe how kind, caring and compassionate these folks are. Feeling very grateful.

I had my first visit with Dr. Uwaine yesterday. I have to say I was so impressed with her and the entire staff. From my first call to schedule a new patient visit all the way to leaving/finishing my appointment. Everyone is so friendly. The office is clean. I did have to wait to be be seen, but it was for good reason. And even though the patient before me put Dr. Uwaine behind schedule, she did not rush through me to get back on schedule.

Dr. Uwaine and her staff are exceptional. I recently transferred to her office and have had nothing but a positive experience. Upon arriving I was greeted kindly by the administrative assistant. The paperwork was clear and concise and while I was filling it out she made a copy of my ID and Insurance card and then came out to hand it to me instead of calling me back up. (Little niceties like that mean a lot to me as I believe it shows how much they care about customer service). I was welcomed to the back by one of the dental assistants and shown to my room and chair. Upon sitting, they fired up the iPad that is affixed to the light structure so I could be entertained throughout the appointment. We started off with x-rays as they needed a baseline with me being a new patient. The assistant was very precise with the mouth pieces as not to hit my gums and took the x-rays quickly and proficiently. Dr. Uwaine then came in for the check up and cleaning and was very professional and comforting in her introduction as well as explanations of what she was doing as she proceeded in the appointment. Dr. Uwaine was gentle and expedient in the cleaning and would periodically check on me to make sure I was comfortable and everything was ok. Overall, the entire appointment was impressive. I have been to many other dentist offices that do not put the effort or focus into their craft that the office of Dr. Uwaine and her staff showed. I am completely satisfied with my choice of Dentist and will be a repeat customer for the foreseeable future.

This was my wife and I’s first time to Dr. Uwaine, which was at the recommendation of our sister in law. It is so hard finding a good dentist who does a great job and is not trying to empty my wallet. I heard of Dr. Uwaine from my cousin in law. I went to Dr. Uwaine to get a tooth removed, at first she recommended me to see a specialist because by tooth was difficult and I knew it’d be hard to remove. I was gonna go to the specialist but I didn’t have dental insurance and it would’ve been more expensive. But Dr. Uwaine called me and said she could try to remove my tooth for me I was a little skeptical because my tooth was difficult, I ended up going to her anyways. When she pulled my tooth she was really gentle with it and made sure I was numb before she tried to pull it out and it came out easily. I highly recommend her!

After neglecting my teeth for 25 years, it took a horrible toothache to finally get me back to see a dentist. After all those years, I did not have a dentist so I relied on recommendations from friends. Although Dr. Erin had just begun her practice, I heard nothing but good reviews and decided that I would call and make an appointment. Although I was just looking for immediate relief and a quick fix, I soon discovered that she was someone I didn’t have to fear. (Forgot to mention that based upon childhood experiences, I hated dentists!) Dr. Erin not only took care of my immediate problem but her caring nature convinced me that at age 64 I deserved better. After more visits and consulting with her, here I am a year later at 65, excited that she made me believe that you’re never too old to have a wonderful smile! She is truly a gem in her field and I am forever grateful to have found her!

I thank God that I found Dr. Erin Uwaine! I was referred by a friend, and now I tell everyone about Dr. Erin. She is so bubbly,positive,gentle,and so great at what she does. She managed to fill 3 molars, that my former dentist said needed crowns and a root canal. $$$. Dr. Erin filled all three with resin composites and amalgam, and would you believe…that my share was less than $60. That is for all three molars.! She is so gentle and patient. Everyone here goes above amd beyond to make sure your pet gets the best medical care and even more importantly, the best personal care at every visit. It is evident that our pets are not just clients but are family to everyone. Even at the toughest moments for us – our dog being diagnosed with camcer and another requiring euthanasia – their support, compassion and caring made it a much less painful journey to take. Even my stoic father was deeply touched by the kindness shown to our pet and to us at the worst time ever. We are forever grateful.

Best. Dentist. Ever. I’ve always had the absolute WORSE experiences with dentists, from a traumatizing sadist named Dr. Ow (spelled Au, but Ow was more like it) to complete ripoffs on Kapiolani Blvd (the one with the nice office, large panel windows, and smiley fake model pics). Lots of trauma, a hospital stay and money hungry novices that hand you a bill halfway through a root canal, let’s say I’ve had zero love for wanting to get tortured physically or financially. Enter a great referral from Dr. Scott at Randall Morita’s office, and I get to meet the all-star team of dental care, Dr. Erin Uwaine and her fantastic staff. From having an iPad to watch movies while getting work done to help get your mind off of the “sounds” of work being done; to giving excellent care and mini-breaks for those that are claustrophobic and have had less than stellar past experiences; to having amazing tech which results in less pain, less discomfort and hyper-efficient procedures-Dr. Erin Uwaine is the *best* dentist and perfect for those that have may have an absolute fear (terror in my case) of dental practitioners. Every dentist visits has past my expectations in a provider. I’m very pleased with the services I’ve received and a big plus is that it’s in town near my job 🙂 Dr. Uwaine is very friendly and knowledgeable in her area of expertise. She helped me get my first official night guard which is super durable and a great investment on my pearly whites. Now I don’t have to purchase those flimsy, cheap night guards from Longs every 3 months! If you’re a clencher like I am, I would highly suggest booking your appointment with Dr. Uwaine! Dr. Uwaine came at the recommendation of a mutual friend who also happens to be a dentist when I was shopping around for a new one. I love Dr. Uwaine’s cheerful personality and staff is very friendly and helpful. When Dr. Uwaine discovered a cavity that needed to be addressed, I was able to schedule an appointment for a filling soon after. I”m not at all a fan of dentistry and the needles, the drills and the all-around no-fun treatments. But with Dr. Uwaine’s recommendations for treatment, she was able to keep me calm (I may have freaked a bit at the sight of a syringe) and get my filling done. I have been looking for a new dentist for several years by asking friends and family and also reading tons of reviews. If you are looking for a dentist or are unhappy with your current dentist, look no further. Dr Uwaine is a great dentist and fantastic person with a big heart. I have been seeing Dr Uwaine for a couple years and the first time I met her I felt like I knew her for 20 years, which is impossible because she looks like she is in her 20’s. She makes you feel like family and has great steady hands with a gentle touch. She is very honest and trustworthy, never recommended me to do any unnecessary procedures. Her pricing is very good and has even squeezed me in because of my busy schedule. Hands down greatest medical professional of my life!!
