This was by far the BEST dentist experience I have ever had! I came in with the intention of finding a dentist who could start some dentures for me before my upcoming full mouth extraction procedure. But in total opposition to all other dentists I’ve been to this year, Dr. Kim took a look at my crazy and told me that he wouldn’t pull out ALL my teeth because he believes I have salvageable teeth still. And he even wrote out a full and clear explanation of his recommended treatment program, including full costs and whether he expects Medicaid (Denti-Cal) to approve certain procedures, etc. So I literally have a complete list of expected costs, both out of pocket and billed to insurance. Oh, and beyond that, he also let me keep my appointment the following day at my oral surgeon (remember I was going to have ALL my teeth pulled?), except he asked for me to show the surgeon an updated extraction diagram of which teeth he recommended saving. All in all, Dr. Kim is a truly great dentist who I totally trust with my health…And not to mention I am sure he will never rip me off! I realize dentists get paid on less than peanuts via Medicaid/Denti-Cal, so I appreciate Dr. Kim’s caring still more. Yes I am in pain today but thanks to a whim appointment I scheduled with Dr. Kim, I still have several teeth remaining. And for that he has my extreme gratitude. Also, his receptionist and assistant are both kind, caring, and personable. BAsically, the vibe you’ll get in this office is one of caring and interest in your wellbeing. I can not believe I am saying this, but I actually had an awesome experience at the dentist this time!

I came from another state (Nevada) and was looking for a new dentist for my family and I. I searched online and noticed Dr.Kim has two offices which one was in Laguna Hills and the other one in Tustin both with good reviews. Since Tustin is closer to me, I gave the office a try. At first, when I saw the complex of the buildings that were surrounded, I didn’t know if it was a good idea because it does look a little bit old, however, when I went inside to Dr.Kim’s office I was relieved. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I was pleased with Dr.Kim’s surgery because after getting my wisdom tooth pulled out it didn’t really hurt or swell at all. When I previously lived in Vegas, after getting my wisdom tooth pulled out from another Dentist, it hurt and swell for a few days, but not with Dr. Kim! I’m glad I found Dr. Kim because I don’t need to worry about finding another Dentist! 🙂

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kim for around 10 years & unfortunately stopped seeing him once he moved offices from Laguna Hills to Tustin. Since then I’ve seen multiple dentists who constantly try to up sell me & push products/procedures that I don’t necessarily need. For example one Dentist I visited in close proximity to my house insisted I needed fillings, & told me it would be $300+ out of pocket (By the way I have the PPO Insurance). I didnt believe him so I decided to make the drive out to my trusted family dentist Dr. Kim to get a second opinion. Just as expected Dr. Kim looked at my tooth that supposedly needed the fillings & told me that the fillings aren’t necessary. As long as I brush well & get regular cleanings I wont have to worry. Dr. Kim saved me $300 out of pocket for the procedure that the other dentist insisted I needed. It’s very easy to tell when someone is looking out for your best interest or theirs. Highly recommend you see Dr. Kim! His office is very clean & his staff is friendly & knowledgeable!

I pride myself on my front teeth.  When I had a major chip in one of them, which meant that I had to replace the tooth or teeth, I was horrified.  Dr Kim assured me that everything would be OK.  I cried and was terribly upset. Dr. Kim did an excellent job!  He put caps on both of them and they look fabulous!  You can not tell that they are not my teeth.  They look identical to what mine looked like. I have gone to dr. Kim for about 5 years now.  I started out in Laguna Hills and then when he closed that office I followed him to Tustin. The drive isn’t ideal but dr. Kim is worth it. I like this dental hygienist Alicia as well and the front desk is pleasant.

After a bad experience with my former dental office past years I was pretty skeptical of this place. I have never encountered any type of medical practice where every single person is kind, welcoming, caring and friendly.
Dr.Kim did his very best to explain and answer all of my questions so that I can be comfortable. His explanations and abilities gave my trust that I did not give to my former dentist. We treat every patient like family and operate in Tustin, CA. My personal philosophy in dentistry is to make sure that my patients feel relaxed when they are sitting in the dental chair. The majority of patients that come into the office are so nervous. I believe that past experiences from before create this fear. It is my personal goal to make my patients feel relaxed and comfortable. I have 35 years of experience as a General Dentist and as a Prosthodontist who specialized in crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. I also make sure every patient is taken care of. Most of the dental procedures are done myself including molar root canal treatment, wisdom tooth extraction and implant surgery. I have the extended academic foundation as well as the clinical experience to treat you in the best way possible.
