Wow!!! I never imagined I would enjoy going to the dentist but Dr. Cox is on another level. Hands down she is the absolute best dentist I have ever been to. First off, her office environment is welcoming and professional. Her staff are incredibly friendly and polite – when I called about some tooth pain Judy squeezed me in right away. They really care and even followed up with me the next day to make sure everything is ok. I’ve never experienced that at any other medical office before. Ok obviously getting dental work done is never FUN but with Dr. Cox it is as comfortable and painless as humanly possible. I even fell into a serene sleep while she was filling a cavity and woke up refreshed and relaxed. I’ve been to a few other dentists before and I have never experienced the technology, tools, or skills I found here. At my other dentist they would give me a novocaine shot and it would be so scary – it would feel like the needle is going to pop out the other side of my cheek. But NOT HERE. Here she puts this gel on first to numb and then gives the most gentle ever novocaine shot – I wanted to cry I couldn’t believe how painless and gentle it was. The other part I don’t like about the dentist is my jaw gets tired and I get scared my tongue is accidentally going to touch one of the tools and get hurt. Well Dr. Cox has this super comfortable thing she put in my mouth to keep it open with a barrier to keep my tongue safely out of harms way. With this tool I was able to relax and doze off while she did all the hard work. I seriously feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful dentist. Luckily I have a couple more cavities that need to be fixed so I get to see this lovely lady again soon. Thank you so much Dr. Cox, Judy, and everybody else at the office!

Great local doc with alot of experience. Started with me alone, but now my 2 and 4 year old and husband see her for dental care. Dr. Nakamura-Cox is gentle, very smart, and patient with all of us. Scheduling/billing is easy. Kid-friendly.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Cox since I was a little kid. She is thorough, honest, and easy to talk to. I trust her recommendations (she sent me to an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth a year or two ago) and will stay with her even though I live 25 miles away.

We got tired of attempted “up-selling” by our last dentist. And, BTW, it’s NOT necessary to remove all your old amalgam fillings and have them replaced with the new resin- amalgam fillings do NOT leach mercury into your body. Back to Dr. Cox. She’s great. Not pushy. Tells you the whole story, i.e., what needs to be done now, what you need to plan on doing in the near future, and what problems to look for in the distant future. Her staff is sharp as well. We can’t recommend her more highly

It’s been almost a year and a half since I wrote my first review for Dr. Cox and I’m happy to say she is still totally 5 stars with both me and my wife. Her work is highly skilled and professional and the rest of her staff is exactly the same. Her office manager Judy is an absolute wizard with dealing with the insurance companies. Personally I would much rather have a filling done than call the insurance company. Judy handles everything and we don’t even have to give it a second thought. This is so important with any medical professional we deal with today. It’s like a hidden benefit. Finding a good dentist like Dr. Cox is hard enough but finding one with an office staff that is truly dedicated to helping you avoid difficult situations with the insurance companies is a whole different thing. Another thing is that Dr. Cox was able to make excellent suggestions for an oral surgeon. When she sent us to see Dr. Ho we couldn’t have been happier. Dr. Kay Nakamura-Cox is an excellent dentist. If you are new to the area or looking to make a change give her a try. You will be glad you did.

I’ve been going to Dr Cox for many years, and my wife has been going to her all the way back to when she was a child, and we both really like her. She is always very good with all your teeth needs and always does a great job. She The office is small but I never have an issue getting an appointment. Parking can be a pain, street meter, but I’ve never had an issue, just remember to feed the meter. They send reminders when it’s time for cleaning, and I always get a free toothbrush after every visit. What I like most about her is she tells it like it is, if you have issues then she will. Let you know. She never tries to sell you work you don’t need, like I’ve encountered with other places, and has helped me get a mouth guard for hockey. All the work was done very professionally, A+ !!!

From a partial, to cavities, a cracked tooth, a cap, Doc has been all through my mouth. She has always been very helpful, considerate, and prompt. Doc gets so efficient I could sleep in the chair through some appointments. Along with Doc, is Myra and Judy, practically family away from home. Two thumbs up.
