Dr Ishibashi and her staffs … I have no words How grateful I am to find them! I went to dr Ishibashi after a horrendous experience with another dentist when I had a gum emergency – the deep cleaning I had to undergo was proceeded with such a rough and uncaring manner, it scarred me that I did not know whether I had the courage to go back to that office for the rest. Then I found Dr Ishibashi. THANK. GOD. Dr. Ishibashi is so calm, caring, funny in her own way – seriously the conversation she had during my procedure with her assistant to calm me down was hilarious in the most subtle and earthy way, it’s heart warming. As a dentist, her approach is so patient and soft, I was able to fall asleep during my second visit for deep cleaning! I think that says it all. Her receptionist( I apologize for not remembering her name) is the sweetest thing and also very knowledgeable handling the insurance. She was even handling mine remotely when she was away on vacation! Ugh. These guys. I love them.

Dr. Ishibashi is very , kind, thoughtful, and professional. Her anesthesia injection was almost no pain. Because she cares patients and knows how to do it. And she made sure I was not in pain, while she was excavating my teeth. I’m very scared of dental treatments. She eased my feelings. I’m so grateful for her. And of course staff are very nice too. Dr. Ishibashi is not aggressive. So, not really greedy dentist. Well, if you want to get your teeth or gum treated 200% perfect. You need aggressive treatment. But is that’s so necessary or good for prognosis? I wonder. If you go to dental office which all specialists are there. All of the specialists have to make money. So, dentists tend to refer to the other specialists. So, every specialist can make money. You might received 200 % perfect treatment or unnecessary treatment. You have to pay 10 times more.

Dr. Ishibashi is great. She’s very friendly, positive, and honest (not interested in just getting you to spend money when its not necessary). It’s refreshing to find a dentist that is so attentive to her patients like the dentists I remember growing up. Nowadays, it’s all to common to find dentists who just pop in to sell you on teeth whitening or other high-profit cosmetic procedures, leaving you to spend almost all your time with a hygienist. Dr. Ishibashi spends real time with you, getting to know you, learning about your situation and needs, and helping you learn to keep your mouth healthy. Unsurprisingly, she has great technique too, gentle and thorough.

Dr. Ishibashi and her team are so very wonderful! They always make me feel comfortable, and Dr. Ishibashi explains everything she is doing very clearly. A great bedside manner and attention to detail. No stress about going to this dentist! I also very much appreciate that she doesn’t do any unnecessary procedures; I find that many NYC dentists overcharge and try to find reasons to do dental work on you (so they can get more money). This absolutely isn’t the case here. The office is small but clean and very convenient–it’s located in central midtown right next to my office, so I can pop out during work for a quick appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Ishibashi!

Wonderful, kind dentist! She was so patient in addressing my concerns and was very gentle during her treatment. I think she could tell I was paranoid about seeing the dentist and took extra care to make me feel comfortable about the treatment. Growing up as a child with lots of dental issues, I of course had a hard time finding dentists that I like and trust as an adult. Dr. Ishibashi has changed the whole game for me! She’s so gentle, performs all cleanings herself and is the most patient and pain-free procedure performer I know. Also, her recommendations of surgeons and endodontists were fantastic as well. Been a consistent patient for about 5 years now. Never need to look for another dentist again.

The absolute sweetest dentist and assistants! I highly recommend seeing Ishibashi, if you are looking for a general dentist in the Midtown area! She is extremely personable, sweet, gentle, and trustworthy. Every time I walk out of her office, I feel relaxed and rejuvenated (as if I went to the spa). She likes to get to know her patients. When she isn’t explaining the steps of the cleaning (or whatever it is you’re seeing her for), she’s chatting about her family and exchanging vacation ideas. Appointments can be easily booked through Zocdoc or directly with the office. Since this is a small, mom and pop kind of dentist office, you receive very attentive service. Appointments will start on time and biannual cleanings take no more than an hour. Only thing to note is the elevators in the building can be slow. For insurance, she is currently an in-network provider for: Assurant PPO, Cigna PPO, Delta Dental Premium, Guardian PPO, MetLife PPO, and Nippon Life.

I initially picked Dr. Ishibashi because her office is close to my workplace and covered by my insurance. I generally do not rely on patient reviews of medical professionals, because what is best for a patient is not always what makes a patient “satisfied” on yelp. That being said, I am a lay person and can not speak to her skill in dentistry, but she patiently and kindly explained every procedure, what she was looking for, and the consequences of what she found. I believe that her clear, simple explanations strongly highlight her expertise and skill. What I can confidently comment on is her kindness, passion for dentistry, and pleasant disposition. I really appreciated how genuinely excited she was in discussing interesting features from my exam with her assistant, who is studying to be a licensed dentist. It seemed pretty obvious she loves what she does, and I think it reflected well in the staff she hired–they were all really friendly and attentive. At no time did I feel rushed.
