I am typically afraid of anyone who holds a needle meant for your mouth! When i moved to Memphis i had to find new doctor, new dentist and all the other things in life that you need!! I found Dr. Dumas. I made an appointment and i am very happy with the quality of service that she and her staff provide. I have not had a bad experience with this group of professionals. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been much of a fan of going to the dentist. I don’t think many people are! Dr. Dumas is easily the best dentist I’ve ever seen. She is professional and knowledgeable and makes the entire experience not only bearable but pleasant! I’ve had several fillings done by her as well as several cleanings with her hygienists. Every time I go in I’m seen quickly and treated with care and respect. I’m so glad that I found Dr. Dumas!! Highly recommend her to anyone that’s looking for a dentist in Memphis.

I was visiting Memphis in July of this year and a crown broke. Dr Dumas was referred to me by a local friend and I could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. She graciously gave me a late afternoon appointment, with two hours notice, and then stayed a full two hours after closing to finish the temporary crown! I live in Colorado and feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Dumas and highly recommend her without reservation.

I recently needed full mouth x-rays, a thorough cleaning, and six cavities filled, including one of my molars. I’ve had dentists whose work is definitely shoddy. Who do I see? The best – and I did. Dr. Dumas is my newest and possibly the best dentist I’ve ever had. It is time someone told others of this. I have been extremely pleased with all of the work I’ve had done (and it has been a lot). Dr. Dumas really took an interest in making sure I was taken care of – Finding a good service provider is hard. It’s a lot like finding a good hair barber; once you find someone, you stick with them. The office environment (located in Raymond James Tower) is surprisingly warm, and inviting. The wait is extremely minimal; I’ve been to 5 appointments and the longest I’ve waited is 5 minutes. Her receptionist is great with scheduling. I highly recommend Dr. Dumas. Her work is top notch and she and staff are extremely nice; she’s definitely not one of the uppity, crusty doctor types!

Dr. Dumas is a great dentist! I’ve been seeing Kelli Dumas for several years now and have had a lot of work done on several teeth (from crowns to fillings to chipped teeth). Kelli is as kind and good natured as they come and it is always a pleasure to catch up with her when I see her on my trips to Memphis. Having grown up in Memphis and living downtown, I met her through Jodie at the Downtowner Magazine and have continued keeping her as my personal dentist even though I’ve been living in New Orleans since 2010. Kelli has a very professional staff, and she’s always been happy to explain the technical details of what she’s doing or crack a joke when I wasn’t expecting it. Worth the trip!

Speaking as a person who has an unusual fear of dentists, I would recommend Kelli Dumas. She has a way of making even the most nervous of patients feel at ease. She and her staff make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. Even when I have those moments of unexpected (and generally uncalled for) fear, Dr. Dumas is patient and comforting and allows me time to get recomposed. If my childhood dentist had been like Dr. Dumas, I honestly do not think I would have ever been afraid to go to the dentist. I recommend her to young and old alike!!

This is a major departure from my reviews of hotels and restaurants but I had to say something about my dentist. I have been seeing her for 8 years and have nothing but great things to say [okay not all of her stories are as funny as she thinks but they are still worth it]. I have gum problems because of medication and after a couple years of seeing Kelli, and finally listening to her. I can say that all is much better. She has done routine cleaning and several crowns. I finally listened to her and she made a mouth guard because I grind my teeth at night. After I used it for a bit, I asked her to make another for my travel gear. I would give more stars if possible.

This weekend my daughter was in town and had a broken tooth. I was able to get a hold of Kelli Dumas, the Downtown Dentist, and she extracted my daughters tooth on her day off.
